@bargiepat I'm sad to say that we're putting him down Friday. It's such a sad event to me. We have to make the time we spend with our dogs well and in their short lives I think Jackson and Balto did that. Thank you again so much.
@Trocker7 I hope your ok, i had my 17 year old wee collie cross put down about 2 months ago i got him for my first birthday, and it is the most heartbreaking thing i have ever had to do <3 I also have a two year old border terrier and i couldnt imagine life without him so am so sorry for your loss :( <3

What a sad but great video, we picked up our 8 week old border terrier (Dave) on sunday, and on sunday night while Dave was asleep we went on youtube looking at border terrier videos and the first video we watched was of a border just running down the towpath it just made myself and my wife laugh and pleased that we got a border, But now realising it was jackson it has brought a 41yr old man to tears.
Watched this video again tonight as I frequently do----please always keep it available---Jackson resembles my Border Terrier Boomer who died several years ago----and when I read what Emily wrote I think about what a kind girl she must be and how lucky Jackson was to be so love

Border Terriers are a very tough breed and were actually bred as fox and vermin hunters, so I think your dog was just very unlucky. Perhaps Jackson was outnumbered too. Anyway, fantastic video and very moving.

Have just cried my heart out .They become so special from the minute they come into our lives .I lost Gypsy my blue and tan Border Terrier on the 18th January 2010 in a sad accident . She was my best friend, my constant companion and my very heart she was 17 . I miss her every day, her smile and her enjoyment of the simple things in life. I pray that there is a heaven where she is playing chase with jackson and all the others and that i may see her again someday. RIP you are all missed so much.

I cry every time I watch this - yet I love it, because it so aptly describes the many ways a Border Terrier will work his/her way into your heart! The first Border Terrier to come into my life was Saucy, born 1982; life has been full of so much joy ever since! At present, 12 Border Terriers share my life, and the youngest, Jasmine, is the 10th generation from our dear Saucy - I will never be without a Border Terrier!

Im surprised that a fox can kill a border, i have a border and he would absolutely tear apart any fox if i only let him to do that. we hunt and facing a fox is kinda normal thing to happen, and im not afraid for my dog or anything,
i cant imagine my life without my beloved terrier. i cant think about losing her. emily is so right hat some people jsut dont understand the strong kind of love to dogs. they really can touch your heart, and once they do you never want to let them go.
This is an amazing tribute to the best dogs in the world. We have a four year old Border called Twiggy or Twigster or Twigs, and she looks exactly like Jackson, And, unbelieveably, her best friend is a Wheaten terrier called Teddy. They play and chase just like Jackson and his Wheaten friend.

What a heart piercing tribute!! Can hardly type for the tears welling up in my eyes. Have 2 BT's, Bingo (6) and Derby (3). They are the joys of my life. They make me laugh and endure my sloppy kisses. Blessings on Jackson and all these little brown dogs-they are such a gift to us all!!!

My little border terrier, Harry, died yesterday, August 24, 2010. True to his little nature-a rugged and brave boy-he died in battle with a rattlesnake. I took him to the emergency room within 20 minutes, but no efforts could save my little boy. I will miss and love him forever. Thank you for this beautiful video. God Bless.

I'm so so sorry to hear of your loss. The video is fabulous and made me cry buckets. I lost my border x JR, Hamish, in February and still miss him so very much. Be nice to imagine them having a rough n tumble together in doggy heaven! X
I'm really sorry about your daughter's dog. I still miss my border terrier too. We had to put him to sleep last year in January. It's ironic because he was attacked by a wild animal before, but thank God my family heard his cries. So they ran out to the backyard and scared off the animal. He's survived other harsh events as well, but when he was 10 and a half, he was in so much internal pain that he couldn't even get off the floor. All he could do was lie there. So we had to put him to sleep.
I miss him everyday. It hurts so much just thinking about him. I was especially attached to him. I would always walk him and play with him. He was such a good dog. He was also the most well-trained pet in the house. Our Cairn Terrier just wasn't the same without him. So once again I'm sorry about your daughter's Border Terrier and may Jackson find happiness in doggie heaven. I'm pretty sure Boo has.
What a beautiful, moving video !. Brings to mind my little lad Ivan ( The terrier.. lol ). Was put to sleep at 5 years old after contracting Leukaemia. These little fellas just know how to brighten your day. Every day !.
my border terrier was a really good dog i loved him so much he got run over along with his GIRL FREIND fizz {fizzgrizzle} {hectorbector} he died on the 2nd of feb 2010 i wish he was still here when i made a kissing noise he kissed me he was cute he was aged 2, his girl freind age was 11 months old and they died at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^

@bargiepat great little dog ! i had a border/lakeland cross terrier , found her on the streets when i was a kid , she was in a bad way , cigarette burns on her ears etc etc . We took her in and had her for 17 years :) she was a legend , the toughest dog ive ever known (typical terrier spirit :) ) vet thought she may of been 19 or 20!!! sadly she went loopy and was in alot of pain with her back legs so we got her put to sleep. She is also buried in my garden under a lovely rose bush

My Border is called Scruff and is just over a year old now. He has such a sunny nature and I really can't believe how much we love him and what fun we have together. You must miss him so much, what a super little chap he was, they really are the best breed. It chokes me up to see such a happy little boy and to think of his sad fate. I wonder if your daughter (or you) might consider getting another, you obviously gave him such a great life. Thanks so much for sharing him with us all.

aww i liked foxes but not anymore i used to have a dog called hooch who lived for 7 years because she got cancer but i now have a boader terrier called ellie shes sweet but shes about as dumb as a post
I'm so sorry for your loss. I have two Border Terrier's...Gryffin and Wiggie. I love them so much. I never knew I could ever love something so much as my family. They are my world. Only another fur momma would understand. I cried and cried for your pup. My hugs to you all the way from California. When I can't be with them I look up Border Terriers on You Tube and Facebook they make me laugh and I forget that I miss them for a little while.
My Border terrier Samba was killed on Sunday 31st January 2010 by two boxer dogs who were off the leads and he went to say hello too. He was so like Jackson its amazing same colouring and general love of other doggies, am still crying after watching it and very sad I didnt get any videos of him playing like this but he will always be in my heart and will be sadly missed by all and his best friend my Jack russell who tried to save his life and is now very very sad.
Hi, I am so sorry to hear that your border has been killed and to have happened that way is appalling. The pain does recede with time but even now I think of Jackson nearly every day.
Thank you for your kind words, am hoping I can cheer my jack russell up by taking him out and letting him off the lead again as for the last two days I just couldnt let that happen, it was hard enough to take him out as I wanted to wrap him up in cotton wool and keep him safe but thats not fair to him. I've never been a dog person and have never understood what dogs mean to a family until the day my dad got Mate. So now I totally understand and I can't imagine what it would be like to loose a dog. I love this video too. They really are the best breed of dog. My little guy, Rex, died just a little while ago while I wa at uni. I felt terrible not being able to say goodbye to him. Luckily I had come home recently so I saw him somewhat soon before he passed. The words you wrote are really beautiful and describe my little Rex perfectly. I love their quirky personalities. I'm really sorry for Jackson. This video made me cry and miss Rex so much. He used to take our shoes and hoard them.

I keep watching this video and cry every time---it is the sweetest and most loving tribute to this "little dog with a big heart". I fell in love with Borders about 16 years ago when my family got Boomer for our 11 year old son. Boomer is no longer alive, but we have Tess (just turned 12) and little Pippin who is my constant companion and "best" friend---much like Jackson. This is a long text but am "so moved" by this video---please don't delete it.

Made my cry, reminds me of my dear BT Rusty who passed away at 3 years of CECS, but I still have my precious BT Moss who is 9 years old. What a wonderful breed, hearts big as footballs. I am so sorry for your loss.
Jackson died way too young, it must have been tragic for you. I have a border terrier named Oscar who is almost 15 years old. He was attacked vicously by a German Sheppard two weeks ago, shook like a rag doll. He seems to have recovered physically but is suddenly very nervous when I am out of sight. It doesn't help that he is stone deaf. I pray that he will live many more years but reality dictates that its not likely.

I cry every time I watch this - yet I love it, because it so aptly describes the many ways a Border Terrier will work his/her way into your heart! The first Border Terrier to come into my life was Saucy, born 1982; life has been full of so much joy ever since! At present, 12 Border Terriers share my life, and the youngest, Jasmine, is the 10th generation from our dear Saucy - I will never be without a Border Terrier!

Im surprised that a fox can kill a border, i have a border and he would absolutely tear apart any fox if i only let him to do that. we hunt and facing a fox is kinda normal thing to happen, and im not afraid for my dog or anything,

i cant imagine my life without my beloved terrier. i cant think about losing her. emily is so right hat some people jsut dont understand the strong kind of love to dogs. they really can touch your heart, and once they do you never want to let them go.

This is an amazing tribute to the best dogs in the world. We have a four year old Border called Twiggy or Twigster or Twigs, and she looks exactly like Jackson, And, unbelieveably, her best friend is a Wheaten terrier called Teddy. They play and chase just like Jackson and his Wheaten friend.

Pat, thanks for putting the video up, I've watched it so many times, what a great Border. My first border died aged five. I bought another straight away who is now four, and have just got another two, four months. Simply the best dogs in the world.

What a heart piercing tribute!! Can hardly type for the tears welling up in my eyes. Have 2 BT's, Bingo (6) and Derby (3). They are the joys of my life. They make me laugh and endure my sloppy kisses. Blessings on Jackson and all these little brown dogs-they are such a gift to us all!!!

My little border terrier, Harry, died yesterday, August 24, 2010. True to his little nature-a rugged and brave boy-he died in battle with a rattlesnake. I took him to the emergency room within 20 minutes, but no efforts could save my little boy. I will miss and love him forever. Thank you for this beautiful video. God Bless.

I'm so so sorry to hear of your loss. The video is fabulous and made me cry buckets. I lost my border x JR, Hamish, in February and still miss him so very much. Be nice to imagine them having a rough n tumble together in doggy heaven! X

I'm really sorry about your daughter's dog. I still miss my border terrier too. We had to put him to sleep last year in January. It's ironic because he was attacked by a wild animal before, but thank God my family heard his cries. So they ran out to the backyard and scared off the animal. He's survived other harsh events as well, but when he was 10 and a half, he was in so much internal pain that he couldn't even get off the floor. All he could do was lie there. So we had to put him to sleep.

I miss him everyday. It hurts so much just thinking about him. I was especially attached to him. I would always walk him and play with him. He was such a good dog. He was also the most well-trained pet in the house. Our Cairn Terrier just wasn't the same without him. So once again I'm sorry about your daughter's Border Terrier and may Jackson find happiness in doggie heaven. I'm pretty sure Boo has.

my border terrier was a really good dog i loved him so much he got run over along with his GIRL FREIND fizz {fizzgrizzle} {hectorbector} he died on the 2nd of feb 2010 i wish he was still here when i made a kissing noise he kissed me he was cute he was aged 2, his girl freind age was 11 months old and they died at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^

@bargiepat great little dog ! i had a border/lakeland cross terrier , found her on the streets when i was a kid , she was in a bad way , cigarette burns on her ears etc etc . We took her in and had her for 17 years :) she was a legend , the toughest dog ive ever known (typical terrier spirit :) ) vet thought she may of been 19 or 20!!! sadly she went loopy and was in alot of pain with her back legs so we got her put to sleep. She is also buried in my garden under a lovely rose bush

My Border is called Scruff and is just over a year old now. He has such a sunny nature and I really can't believe how much we love him and what fun we have together. You must miss him so much, what a super little chap he was, they really are the best breed. It chokes me up to see such a happy little boy and to think of his sad fate. I wonder if your daughter (or you) might consider getting another, you obviously gave him such a great life. Thanks so much for sharing him with us all.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have two Border Terrier's...Gryffin and Wiggie. I love them so much. I never knew I could ever love something so much as my family. They are my world. Only another fur momma would understand. I cried and cried for your pup. My hugs to you all the way from California. When I can't be with them I look up Border Terriers on You Tube and Facebook they make me laugh and I forget that I miss them for a little while.

My Border terrier Samba was killed on Sunday 31st January 2010 by two boxer dogs who were off the leads and he went to say hello too. He was so like Jackson its amazing same colouring and general love of other doggies, am still crying after watching it and very sad I didnt get any videos of him playing like this but he will always be in my heart and will be sadly missed by all and his best friend my Jack russell who tried to save his life and is now very very sad.

Thank you for your kind words, am hoping I can cheer my jack russell up by taking him out and letting him off the lead again as for the last two days I just couldnt let that happen, it was hard enough to take him out as I wanted to wrap him up in cotton wool and keep him safe but thats not fair to him. Pleased you posted the video and it capture the spirit of the little Border brilliantly.

Im so sorry, I watched the video and it made me cry! I have Border Terrier, His names Mate and hes 13months old. I've never been a dog person and have never understood what dogs mean to a family until the day my dad got Mate. So now I totally understand and I can't imagine what it would be like to loose a dog. Your dog looks so much like Mate, Jackson looked beautiful! What a character! its so sad you lost his at such a young age, but by the video he had an awesome family!! RIP little Jackson!

I love this video too. They really are the best breed of dog. My little guy, Rex, died just a little while ago while I wa at uni. I felt terrible not being able to say goodbye to him. Luckily I had come home recently so I saw him somewhat soon before he passed. The words you wrote are really beautiful and describe my little Rex perfectly. I love their quirky personalities. I'm really sorry for Jackson. This video made me cry and miss Rex so much. He used to take our shoes and hoard them.

I keep watching this video and cry every time---it is the sweetest and most loving tribute to this "little dog with a big heart". I fell in love with Borders about 16 years ago when my family got Boomer for our 11 year old son. Boomer is no longer alive, but we have Tess (just turned 12) and little Pippin who is my constant companion and "best" friend---much like Jackson. This is a long text but am "so moved" by this video---please don't delete it.

We now have Daphne's granddaughter JaJa. I hope always to have a border in my life. They're the greatest of all dogs!

Made my cry, reminds me of my dear BT Rusty who passed away at 3 years of CECS, but I still have my precious BT Moss who is 9 years old. What a wonderful breed, hearts big as footballs. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jackson died way too young, it must have been tragic for you. I have a border terrier named Oscar who is almost 15 years old. He was attacked vicously by a German Sheppard two weeks ago, shook like a rag doll. He seems to have recovered physically but is suddenly very nervous when I am out of sight. It doesn't help that he is stone deaf. I pray that he will live many more years but reality dictates that its not likely.
