awesome!!!! i watched another review that said it was lipo compatible but didnt have the low volt cut off, what it it cost to set it up so it has the low volt cut off and a decent brushless?
yeah they come in blue and red... the one on display at the store was blue and all the ones are blue on the boxes so i opened my box and mine was red... i wish i had a choice, but i am happy with the truck
What is the cheapest , but still good, brushless motor i can get. i have a Helion Dominus 10sc 4wd. Right now its box stock and goes about 20-25 mph. i also got a new battery for it, that gives it a longer run time, its an NIXX battery (is a Lipo battery better, what battery will give me the longest run time. and also can i run other batterys, like an electric airsoft gun battery. ) Sorry for all Qs but im a noob to rc cars. Nice vid... :) PLEASE REPLY!!
@trainmastermind well u can get a longer lasting battery but it is going to cost you, but you can get a quick charger that will charge the battery it comes with and and another fully in only an hour.
Does your store already stock parts for a center diff? Steve Butts from HelionRC mentioned that a center diff upgrade would be available. BTW, great box opening and demo!
Cool truck at a great price. The animus is a good little car too. Looks like helion is going to be a pretty good brand. A little slow out of the box, but they dont want to give someone a car that is going to run hot and burn out motors easily (cough traxxas cough) I would suspect that most people going for 4x4 will at least know what to try gearing it at and what motor to put in. Does anyone know what the lowest turn motor this esc will work with?
@Scoalabro NEVER get on jangs bad side. I did for about 2 hours and now I am a "vacationing user" for life :( I cant even be subscribed to him on youtube anymore. But I can still post on his rcmania channel. He just has to approve my comments. Which he does, and I think he even replied a couple times in a positive way. I wish I could go back in time and change what I did. That is the best rc forum on the web.
Question... As you drove back following a jump, were you going max speed with it? If so, is it likely due to the motor only being a 21 turn or would you attribute the slow speed to the gearing perhaps? Also, HelionRC has mentioned the drivetrain being capable of handling a BL setup... but do you know what the gear composition is? Hopefully it's not plain nylon and is a high-melting point comp os some sort. :) Thanks!

You can get a longer running battery for about $35 and a charger to charge that larger battery in under an hour for $40.

@nerdyrcdriver This was posted in UltimateRC's forums:
Q: "How many turns is the stock motor and how many turns can the stock ESC handle if someone wants to upgrade the brushed motor?"
A: "Its a 21T motor...but its a 550 size"
I'm guessing that HelionRC meant it might/should/could handle anything 550 sized lol... I'll be trying a 12t as soon as I can.... mwuahaha
*It's posted several times, I referred to post #23 (can't link it).. Google "Helion Dominus" and look for anything URC related.
