  • Oh, and dogarizm....... eBay. lol

  • I KNOW THE ANSWER! :) some glues are conductive and can work instead of soldering. ALSO, RED WIRE goes on outer circle, whichever other color wire you have goes on the inner circle. You're welcome. :)

  • can anybody plz tel me 4m wher can i get an extra bass pedal in the uk? coz i cant find it online

  • Thanks for this video, very helpful.

  • Hi, I wonder what that song is called?

  • @ludpar1The song is "Hey there Delilah' by the Plain White T's

  • hola, me gustaria saber como se llama esa cancion?

  • Pedal is fixed! Just wish I'd found your video sooner ( like before I pried the sensor case off and broke the plastic the screws go into....TG for gorrilla glue, LOL)

  • this video rocks!!!

  • is any way to do it without soldering? please help!!!

  • I dont have a solder thing Can someone please help I just need to connect the right wires. I need help fast before my mom finds out and whoops my ass:(

  • Which wires do I connect to A and B?

  • GOD BLESSSSSSSSS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg i ripped the wires out and now i know how to put them back in thank you sooooo sooooooo sooooo much:D

  • Thanks for making this. I had never used solder before. I bought a cheap kit, followed the steps and despite my crappy workmanship, the kids are using the fully functional drum pedal right now. Thanks again!

  • You need to actually make a video whats going on between 1:02 and 1:04

  • Hey i got a Red and Orange Wire how do i know what is the right one for A and B

  • Hello short question.

I also got that pedal,it aint broken or anything but it only reacts if you really step on it hard.. Can you fix that somehow? How do I take the sensivity higher?

Please help me,if you find time.

    Thanks.

  • Hey Man Help!! I followed all the steps.. and... my pedal dont work =(...

I bought speaker cable and also the plug.

I solder each wire to each of the sensor and the other ends of the plug weld and still does not work, that may be?

    Sorry 4 my bad english...

  • where can i buy the plug and the wire at.....radioshack?

  • Comment removed

  • I just followed exactly the steps you show here and it worked excellent! You saved me the 60 bucks that costs a new pedal. Thanks a lot, dude.

  • Música de mierda loco.

  • lol i connected the pedal to the sound microphone input and its like a microphone registering the sounds in the pedal sensor!

  • My wire is pulled out partially but is still connected to something internally. Could I just like use something as simple as tape if it needs to be reconnected to the A part lol

  • thanks for the help, it worked!!! :) cheers

  • Thanks man you've saved my day!!!

  • Hi, thanks for posting, 2 quick questions: 1. should I be able to "test" before soldering by using electrical tape to connect each wire to sensor? 2. for each wire, orange and red, there is a silver metal tip exposed, do I solder the metal tip to the sensor, or the orange and red part of the wire or either? thank you so much!

  • @pjmoreau123 You should be able to test it using electrical tape or just holding the wires against the sensor.

I don't understand question 2. If you use flex simply attach the one wire to point A and second to point B as reflected on clip.

  • @pjmoreau123

The silver you see there is the original solder. It's fine to re-solder that to the sensor. Most importantly, just make a good electrical connection.

  • @pjmoreau123 You shouldn't be able to solder the plastic cover (that's what the orange and red parts of the wire are). You would solder the metal (silver) part of the wire.

  • the wires were yanked from my pedal too. Do I have to solder the wires or is there a simpler way?

  • just did this. AWESOME

  • Where the hell I can buy the second pedal(official drum pedal)? (No internet, in a shop)

  • where do you buy all the stuff?

  • where did you get that mono connector? i cant find one anywhere

  • thanks dudeeeeeeee!

  • what if the wire of the kick pedal is torn?

  • gracias por el instructivo... ahora me funciona el pedal de nuevo jajajaja

  • vientos men t la rifastes grasias

    aaa no tencks

  • thanks so much this was the exact problem (curse red octane and their cheap mono cables)

  • Hey, thanks for showing how to take the pedal apart. Question about the mono wire (as my wire was pulled out of the sensor and stripped), does it matter which wire one sodders to A and which to B? As far as I can tell, one copper wire is red, and the other is orange-ish.

  • @Visulth does not matter which one you use.

  • Thanks for the posting. Breaks waaaay too easily....

  • My wires got yanked out what to do

  • Thanks

  • what if the sensors broken? where can i buy that?

  • i dont even have that stuff and i want to keep playing the guitar hero metallica on drums and my pedal dont work so i cant afford the stuff thats new thats going to make it

  • What if the 2 wires were yanked out of the sensor? Do i follow the same steps or what? HELP!

  • @Th3R0flinCopt3r just remove the sensor as shown on the video and solder the wires back onto the sensor.

  • @CaptainKII does it matter which wire goes to witch part?

for example should the orange one be connected to the white part of the sensor and the red to the outside ring?

  • @CaptainKII what do you do if you dont have a solder??? help!!

  • Thank you for your generosity in posting this. Very helpful work around for a shoddy product that shouldn't have broken so easily in the first place! Sorry, had to vent. Thank goodness for people like you!

  • YOU ARE MOTHER FUCKIGN GENIUS!!

  • THANK YYYYUUUUU!!!!

  • Thanks dude! It was easy form me to fix my pedal, thanks to your video! DEFINITELY thumbs up!!!

  • Thanks, quick and helpfull.

  • my kick pedal was oversensitive so i put a TON of duck tape over the sensor and now it works : D

  • the cable for the kick pedal was yanked from the purple jack!!!! anyone know how 2 fix??? plz help

  • @sanch1608 You will need to replace the mono jack and solder the flex as per video. Good Luck!

  • What cable is the red one the A or the B?

  • the wire that connects the pedal to the drum set has fallen out of my foot pedal is there anyway to fix this

  • i cant get the second screw out omfg!

    hlep?!?!?!

  • @anton122000 try using a screwdriver (y)

  • My pedal stopped working for me this week. I went to Best Buy and brought the Nyko Metal Pedal and it's not working either. So I was wondering if it's compatible to GH5 Wii?

  • the metal pedal only works with ps3 and xbox 360 rock bands 1 & 2 and guitar hero world tour.

  • My petal Fucking snapped right were the star is and the incline or whatever on the bottom so now i can't own on Xbox Live i have to do auto bass petal

    can someone help me

  • do i have to solder it or can i use something else? thanks

  • Solder is the best idea, otherwise it will work loose again. Soldering will also ensure the best electrical contact for maximum signal transfer between the pedal and the main drum set.

  • What kind of wire I should buy?

    Thanks

  • Go to a Radio Shack and just buy a 3.5mm MONO extension cable between 3 and 6 feet long, and cut off one end and strip the wire back. If just your purple connector is damaged, they sell just plain old 3.5mm tips that you can solder onto the end of your existing cable. Most of the time the problem is in the purple connector, very cheap solder in there, and it gets strained and breaks over prolonged usage.

  • This is actually a 3.5mm mono audio plug, not a 2.5mm.

  • Hey man nice video!

BTW, is there a positive/negative side of the sensor? I mean that if I can connect whatever side of the cable to the sensor.

  • You can connect any side of the cable to the sensor, no problem.
