  • Was this made with random folks from a retirement home? Perhaps that explains why he has to yell for them to hear?

  • GEEZUS STOP SHOUTING :D

  • 2:49 awesome dunk

  • freaking genius

  • why is that guy screaming

  • he looks like jigsaw...imagine if a player fucked up his game plan...he'll have to cut a leg or something to live

  • 1:03 = PENIS

  • Very good to understand what happened in these Situations - thank You!

  • Hubie is washed up when it comes to basketball principls. Defenses have become too sophisticated to base your offense on the space of a 3v3 drill.

  • @plusEV

you play too many video games

  • @klined

I dont play any video games, but I will guarantee you I have coached more games than Hubie in the past 10 years. Also doesn't make any sense that your man isn't open because "you can't see him". Especially against a zone defense, you already know where your team mate is and you are more concerned with reading the defense.

  • @plusEV If you don't see your man it means the same thing as if he isn't open: you aren't going to pass to him. That's a bad pass if you even try it. Good try though lol

  • @LogainGaidin

It is actually the way the game is evolving. You put your 4th and 5th options in set spots, usually opposite corner and opposite guard/point, but you can put them wherever suits your team strengths. Not to difficult of a concept, especially if you drill the hell out of them on off-ball rotations and progressions.

  • the louis farrakahn of basketball

  • hubie is a great coach and commentator!

  • this guy must be a good coach. He seems like a good coach

  • @eggyboy21 wtf you dont know who this is hes in the hall of fame

  • @TSFP I dont follow basketball much. Youre really gonna be pissed, i didnt know who john wooden was either till he passed. It was unacceptable lol.

  • ohhhhh i wanted dem 2 shoot or dunk

  • Hubie, for the next video instead puts veterans Teams & players, and two-color shirts.

  • well for that play...

no duh of course u have to step into an open spot and in a 2-3 defense the other top guard playing defense will pick off that long pass if he is quick

  • Hubie Brown knows more about basketball than anyone. Period. See him in a clinic if you ever get a chance. He is absolutely fantastic.

  • This guy is soooo angry!!! I put myself in a timeout after i finished watching this video as I felt I did something wrong today. lol

  • and you dunk

  • its not always the case

  • hahaha

2:55 "blow by" at about 1mph

  • i have had sex with that guy before!!

when he finished he cried on my shoulder

  • smart at basketball you idiot

  • Basketball smarts... you know this!

  • I have been to a couple of Hubie's coaching clinics and met him. He is a very intense man but has one of the highest basketball I.Q's I have ever seen.

  • lol if thats how he talks when he just tells you something

wonder what he's like when hes angry lol

  • great plays

  • i bet this coach is very strict person lol

  • the way he speaks look like he was lecturing some1 :)

  • yeh he is pretty pissed off lol.

  • lol

  • this guy is pretty pissed off

  • good video and everything,

but what if your playing 5 on 5 basketball? Most zone defences are 2-3 so theres 3 defenders in the back.

    What could you do then?

  • what you can do is probebly center on edges and try to get 2 defendes on the wing to come to you im preatty sure it would leav the center open to a shot or cousing to a foul

  • I agree with you 100 percent. Again, it's good to overload the zone, but 4 players on one side messes it all up. It also takes away the idea of attacking the zone from behind (from the baseline). I can live with it though. As you pointed out, chemestry is very important and as a team you want to be on the same page in order to acheve success. Thanks for the advice.

  • We actually start off by having 4 players on one side with a two guard setup. With a man on the wing, one at the albow, one in the corner and one in the short corner. An atvantage might be that the weakside wing might get a good chance to cut backdoor for a layup. When the ball is beeing skipped when short corner guy and the high albow guy switches positions. It didn't seem too difficult for the defenders to cover that..

  • When my team plays zone offense against a 2-3 zone, our (not too experienced) coach wants us to start of with a 2-1-2 setup. I can see intention of trying to overload the zone with 4 offensive players on one side, but I would think that it would be smarter to start off with a 1-3-1 setup instead, cause you make the zone work harder and the wingplayers would be open more often. Against the zone I'd think it would be best to place yourself where the defenders are aren't... any comments?

  • thats some pretty smart shit

  • some1 isss havinggg theirrr perioddddddd fkin hell calm down lol

  • well the video does say boot camp att the start, do u know how much you get shouted at over their, that's like heaven to them

  • He's not an angry coach...Hubie Brown is a B-Ball genius with an incredible passion for the game and excellent teacher...Great analyst on T.V. games.

  • i like this coach. =]

  • If you let the other team shoot to many 3s.

Your going to have to change up you D.

If you backed up and let my team shoot 3s on you, your team would be done

  • why the hell is he so angry?

  • i was wondering the same thing? why so mad?

  • becuz he despise those who have small basketball IQ :P

  • It's still a long shot.

If I am a team, I'd let other shoot that 3 all the time.

  • this wouldn't work because in a 2-3 the box forward would cut off the penitration

  • nice job but what zone is that? what if they are doing box- and 1? or none of or players can shoot threes well?

  • i hate coaches that just scream like that, there not getting there point across any better.

  • agreed. its distracting and used to make me nervous when i was a little kid lol

  • well it brought out the best in me, but what's better for a coach to do is to whistle like phil jackson.

  • LOL i love the comments , but forreal this man needa stop shouting

  • OK Ok we get it dude! No need to shout!

  • lol. he's shouting cause he can't hear

  • geez...i needed to turn down the volume

  • i need earplugs

  • i wonder if he's related to the angry german kid...

  • you are my favorite coach, thanks Coach Pat
