This idea probably would've worked better as a bluetooth device, as opposed to a phone in its own right. That would've been even more awesome!!!

Yeah, that's the fundamental flaw with the concept. A lot of phone users get caught short with respect to their phones' charge, but being unable to tell the time as a result of that would get very old, very quickly. Owners of the Watch-phone would need to be very disciplined about charging.

Besides, plenty of times people forget to charge their phones. It's always going to happen. Some people are in the habit of keeping their watch on the entire time. This phone just won't suit them.

No. The point I made is that Li-ions gradually lose their capacity to hold charge as they age. It can even get to the point where the battery will not last into the evening, although it would take a long time for the battery to reach that point.

The inital performance of the battery (and ultimately, how much it will degrade), out of the box, will depend on how much time has passed since manufacture. If the phone isn't selling, it could spend a long time sat in warehouses and stock rooms.
