  • Peter, using a load of 135lbs and 45lbs.....you are doing two totally different workouts and hitting different energy systems. One must remember programing a client to achive a certain goal (e.g. energy system) in that workout is vital to build on future success. What is the goal of the workout? What percentages were the pathways in this workout focused on?

    CP =

    AnG =

    Aer =

And what would be the pathway percentages be for using 135lbs OHS...which I have also done?

    CP=

    AnG=

    Aer=

  • he should be using more weight on the overhead squats (just the bar is embarrassing)

  • @petercomeauhockey8

Safe to assume you haven't done this WOD and probably don't do many OHS. That many reps, that deep, all while sucking wind...this fella is doing just fine. Being embarassed by what the bar looks like is all ego.

  • @ptiddy

I actually like this workout and I did with a 115 lbs barbell. Im not knocking that its hard but 45 lbs its just not enough weight go heavy or go home crossfit is not for the weak.

  • @petercomeauhockey8 crossfit is there to be scaled, its one of the main tennants of crossfit. strength is irrelevant. elitist prick.

  • @ptiddy well said. its easy to forget that outside of thre crossfit 'community' hardly anyone is even capable of doing one decent OVH squat with just the bar. i only know a few people who can do them. there is nothing 'weak' about OVH squatting the bar, the vast majority of people who like to think they are strong cant even do a few. and to do them at any weight when your abs are being destroyed by the sit ups is really good going. remember Xfit is designed to be scaled to ability.

  • I did 125 of these the first time I ever did them. I couldn't stand up straight for 12 days.

  • "Don't sneeze tomorrow" - love it! I did GHD sit-ups for the first time yesterday and parts of my legs are sore that have never hurt before. It simultaneously sucks and is awesome.

  • Sloppy whenever your right arm goes back on the ghd sit-ups! ;)

Nice vid though - crossfit is the way to train.

  • This guy really knows how to train.

  • Feel the burn. Holy crap.
