  • 2 purple hearts, one of the first black sgts in 1st Marine Division.

  • I just keep seeing Sgt. Johnson haha!

  • Look into my eye

    lol

  • Ooorah top! I guess those two dislikes can look into our eyes... lol

  • Hey look! It's sergeant Johnson!

  • I LOVE the corps!

  • 2 people are afraid of bootcamp.

  • I used this as my alarm tone for months. :)

  • HOOORAH

  • @lizzylizardson

Both of the actors were REAL sargeants in the army.

  • @agfagaevart

Who? I know the guy who plays Apone was a real army guy, but who else?

  • Is there any way you can post the scene where Apone says "Get on the ready line........Absolutely Badasses." Thats THE best scene in the whole movie and the only place I can find it cuts off before he finishes the "badasses" part.

  • Apone's feet weren't cold, either...

  • The 2 "dislikes" were from the Army.

  • Here is the story, Sgt Apone didn't die, he went M.I.A. right before the thermonuclear explosion he still managed to get out of there, due to his badassem. He then lead the U.N.S.C. Marines all the way to Halo 3. Sgt Johnson's name is just a illusion, your seeing that and hearing that. But its all subconscious.

I mean if Johnson from Halo survived against the flood since he did in the video get like surrounded by those little guys.

    Its Apone

    Apone doesn't look like Johnson

    That's him. XD

  • @SgtAponeUSCM holy shit! ur right!

  • I love the corps

  • The best character in Aliens.

    GET SOME TODAY!

  • wonder how Lee Ermey would have done in this role.

  • This is what I'm gonna be like playing Aliens: Colonial Marines when it comes out.

  • ALIENS...ATTACK... lol lol

  • @SgtAponeUSCM If Colonel Quaritch led the Colonial Marines, there wouldn't be a single xenomorph left in the galaxy.

  • @bancoran ooh rah. He probably would just send his helis right towards the Xenos Ship and blast a crater in their racial memories so deep that they will not come within a 1000 klicks from Hadley's Hope ever again.

    And that too......is a fact.

  • @bancoran i think if anybody was stupid enough to throw themselves at the xenos they might as well just hang themselves no force in the galaxy can stop them their power at it's finest, their purity is what keeps them alive just like that you can slow them down but you can never stop them.

  • does anybody think he looks like sgt johnson

  • @doom2sgt sgt johnson looks like him!!

  • @doom2sgt He doesn't loo like Johnston, Johnston looks like him >:D (Halo: 2001, Aliens: 1986.)

  • What happened to this guy

I think is great but I've never seen him in any other good movies

  • Apone was one of my favorite Colonial Marines... and this part always makes me laugh... in fact, I use the first part a lot myself (Another glorious day in the corps!!).

  • He kind of reminds me of Sgt. Johnson from Halo in this scene. The two characters are fairly similar.

  • @Ducttapestuff Yeah, Bungie actually based him(and just about everything else in halo) From the good Sgt.

  • @Ducttapestuff Johnson practically lifts right off him.

  • I love the Corps too Apone lol!!!

  • i hate the corn bread!!

  • The best wake-up-call ever! For days when you have to get up early to do something hard (but nonetheless, do something that you love doing). On their case: bug stomping, lol!

  • Annother glorious day with Apone

Every meal with him is a banquet

Every paycheck from him a fortune

Every formation with him a parde

    God, I love Apone

  • : )

  • And jus on extra note he he , he should a said at end "you secure that shit hudson" lmao

  • I now wish that I was black...

  • There ya go, Spunkle Sam... another day in the corpse.

  • I know where bungie got Srt. Johnson from.

  • "I love the corp!"

    "I hate this job."

  • This just in: Apone AKA Al Matthews will be voice acting in the game Operation Flashpoint Red River. EPIC

  • It's a pity Sgt. Apone died. He never got to rescue those juicy colonists' daugthers from their virginity :(

  • @beaberries10 Ha! Great comment! I can't believe he was still listening to Gorman during that fight.

  • I LOVE THE CORE!!

  • Great actor! Shame about his death, I thought he was going to survive till near the end. =/

  • @TheDOWfan ; no, I hope you didn't really think that. come on' a black guy in a horror movie. Usually out in the initial onslaught. har

  • A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm....I LOVE the Crops!

  • Why just did Apone not appear in more movies? He's such a great actor, designated to play such military roles.

  • @ToughGermanWoman cuz he died....

  • @123UKelite no he didnt u fool

  • @123UKelite He just voice acted for a new game called Operation Flashpoint Red River which is a game with the US Marines in Tajikistan fighting terrorism...he didn't die.

  • i love this movie

  • Hhaha, great scene. He's badass

  • "I hate this job."

  • Hudson: "shit, this floor is freezing"

Apone: "what do you want me to do fetch your slippers for you?"

Hudson: "Geeze would you sarge? i'd like that"

    LOL

  • Really Sgt Johnson

  • @KyleGibbons91 Iron rusts. I take it you've never held any real tags before or you wouldn't be guessing.

  • @KyleGibbons91 That "whatever metal" for today's tags is simply Aluminum. O_o

  • every time I trudge to work and just am not feeling it....I thihink of this scene and it makes me smile!!!!

  • 'nother glorious day in the corps!

  • I love Apone!

  • The blueprint for every badass hardened black Drill Sgt in Hollywood today.

  • My security guard from work looks just like Apone so everytime I see him I think of this movie

  • i liked apone, too bad he didnt live so long in movie

  • YOU KNOW THE DRILL!!! ASSHOLES AND ELBOWS!!! HUDSON COME HERE! COME HERE!!! ROFL

  • Genious!

  • OOH RAH!

  • hey what do u guy think is the average pay check for colonial marines is ? I think it is 1$

  • Sergeant Johnson?

  • In the "corps" lol

  • @DrunkenClouds That's only because you don't know how "corps" is pronounced...

  • @DrunkenClouds No, I'm British too. It'll be your unawareness of how the word "corps" is pronounced. It's not like "corpse", it's like "core". It's from the French word, and that's (close to) how they pronounce it too.

  • @biggest312 HAHA

  • @DrunkenClouds It's the same reason we pronounce corpsman "core-man". We don't want to to be yelling for help from someone named a "corpse-man" when we just got our leg blown off...

  • @DrunkenClouds It's the same reason we pronounce corpsman "core-man". We don't want to to be yelling for help from someone named a "corpse-man" when we just got our leg blown off...

  • Several decades ago, when this movie first came out, my reserve ship was in San Diego and our shop went to the theater. Part of the theater was packed with Marines. When Sgt. Apone shouted out "I LOVE the Corps," those Marines in the theater shouted out in unison "OOOORAH!" That part was awesome.

  • @central807 i still do that when i here him say that

  • OoooRaHHH!

  • We all love the Corps....

  • @JordanSayz

    OooooRAH!

  • @central807 DAMN RIGHT, SOLDIER

  • @JordanSayz OORAH!

  • Sgt Johnson

  • ITS SERGEANT JOHNSON!

  • baddass motherfucker!! hell yeah!

  • Actually let's not forget the first thing the Sarge does when he wakes up is pop that cigar stub into his mouth.

  • a day in the car is the like a day on the farm....

  • Hudson, come here... COME HERE.

too bad he got Apwned later in the film for trying to follow orders.

    rip apone. absolutely badasses.

  • Sgt. Apone rocks. I remember reading about him being an actual sargeant a while after I wacthed Aliens. He must have been in his element. :D

  • Yeah he was a soldier in Vietnam and he was brought into the film to actually train the other actors to be marines.

  • @ANGRYMAPLE Marine, not soldier

  • damn, f'ing classic !

  • Missed out the part about Hudsons slippers =(

  • Look in to my eye!

  • "These shitheads, these yellow tratorin' motherfuckers, they are EVERYWHERE"!!

  • Halo = ripoff

  • So this is where Sargent johnson was copied from.

  • Halo = homage, it's what you call respectful ripoff.

  • @Whyavier Not a ripoff. Just inspired by it. If it having similar things makes it a ripoff then that means that every sci-fi except for those written by Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur Clarke. And even then after the inspiration Halo devolopped it's own unique style. which in turn seems to atleast somewhat influenced Avatar.

  • @OniLink147 thats cause some of the guys who did the concept art for the UNSC vehicles in halo wars did the concept art for the military vehicles in avatar

  • @UndyingHunter1 Makes sense. Freaking James Cameron bashed on Halo fans saying they were idiots for noticing the similarities.

  • @OniLink147 yeah i lost respect for him after avatar. why cant he just sick with movies like aliens or the terminator?

  • @Whyavier I know every time i play the first halo game i keep thinking of this film

  • @Whyavier "Halo = ripoff"; honestly Whyavier, if it wasn't for 'Aliens' there probably wouldn't even be a game like "Halo"--heck I have heard it said that "Aliens" spawned practically every Sci-Fi first person shooter ever made.

  • @Whyavier

You do realize Halo isn't the ONLY thing that has had inspirations from this flick right? Starcraft? Anyone?

  • @ItsReever And the entire Metroid series.

  • Christ, look at Apone. Clearly this was before actors started getting ripped for action movies.

  • Bear in mind that Al Matthews, who played Apone, was an actual Sergeant in the actual USMC in an actual war (look on his IMDB bio), and would have made sure he was in the right condition to realistically reflect that. Guess real life isn't like the gym-queen movies, huh?

  • @biggest312 People in the military generally do not look like the roid freaks you see in the movies. Just because a guy has a spare tire does NOT mean he cant run like the wind and push some weight, I assure you.

  • @biggest312 and he was the first black marine in the first marine division in Vietnam, to be promoted to the rank of sergeant

  • Never knew he was a Marine. And you're absolutely right, I've seen Marines who are as skinny as me who can bench 3x their own body-weight. After all it's not how big your muscles are, it's how big your heart is.

    OORAH!

  • @YoungTeufelhunden Actually, for bench-pressing, it really is all about how big your muscles are ;-)

  • @biggest312 Well they don't have to necessarily be big, but they can also be really dense. ROCK HARD MAN!

  • @YoungTeufelhunden True but the muscles do help and for the most part it is mental rather than physical. Cogito Ergo Sum(I think that is spelled right) I think, therefore I am. In other words, If you think you can do it, most likely you can.

  • @biggest312 That's true but when he said he based some of the speeches and his attitude on a higher up marine who commanded him around when he was a private in the marines

  • This is more realistic than seeing Arnold or Sylvester Stallone playing a combat trained killing machine.

  • @senojelyk I know a few Marines that have a body similar to Apone and they are in great shape.

  • my favorite is "u secure that shit" n "hudson c'mere.get your ass here"

  • This guy is a BADASS MOTHERFUCKER.

  • He is the defacto father of Halo's Sgt Mjr A.J. Johnson. He died, but his son lives on! Continuing the against Alien mofos who threaten Earth and all her children! Unlock the badass!

  • After this Hudson says: "Man, this floor is freezing!". Then Apone answers: "What do you want me to do? Fetching slippers for you?" :)

  • Gee, would you do that sarge? :D

  • Look into my eye

  • Haha :)

  • Lol, great. Please more!

  • Such a sweet movie. Even though he doesn't make it, you see Apone's importance to the squad because once he goes down they lose what little control they had left.

  • True. Course, the hundreds of pitiless, armoured killing machines with razor teeth and acid blood had something to do with it as well.

  • Magic m8

  • Too bad he doesn't last two minutes against the Aliens, LOL

  • Apone is a badass motherfcuker ;]

  • Hey, you cut off the famous "slippers" scene!

  • That's not maximally awesome like the bit I put in. What, you wanted the awesomeness to go from 11/10 to only 10/10? THEN MAKE YOUR OWN CLIP!

  • fuckin a. sire, i salute you! ye who posts such historic dialogue.

  • man i wish apone lived, you don't even know what happened to him. I guess he was impregnated by the alien though.

  • oh come on, you missed my favorite scene.

    "LOOK INTO MY EYE..."

I used it in the intro to my SSBM combo video, :D

    god I love this movie

  • Sgt. Apone LOVES THE CORPS!

  • Yes he does. I mean, who wouldn't?

  • Their enemies.

  • @CriticalDamage91 dont we all?

  • Comment removed

  • No, it's the Marine Corps. Who's the "numpty" now?

  • Comment removed

  • I will assume you're serious and not trolling. In English, "corps" (literally "body", normally used for a military formation of several divisions) is pronounced "core" as it's from the French word. Related phrase: "esprit de corps". Look it up.

  • Dude, read a book - start with the dictionary - and then get back to us.

  • ooo RAH
