Zune connection problem

ugh ma Zune is not workin either I had it for like 3 or 4yrs and I dont wanna buy a new one b/c I have the 2nd gen 80g witch I bought 4 like $200 and now the effin 32g goes for $200 smh I want this one to work!!!

Listen everbody, there is a program you may have installed on your pc called libusb, you may have installed this to be used to emulate your playstation 3 controller, if so find this and uninstall it and your zune will connect properly. LibUsb causes interference with the zunes connection.

Bull crap same thing with me I dont have that LILUSB . It just says to restore firmware and the error code is C....2049. I went to the Zune site and read everything and did everything it said but nothing...dissapointing but ill get the 8 gig zune later and send my 30 gig to repair one day or just keep trying to fix it

LIBUSB Program in control panel under add/remove programs REMOVE it! This helped me with mine.

you have to disconnect the battery for a couple of second to reboot it and clear up the screen from being lock in upgrade mode.

the silver cover on top, take that off and there will be 2 screws remove those and pop of the back cover by wedging a small flat head in between the front and back cover.

yea i finally just figured it out, my problem was the same, and what i did was uninstall 'LibUSB win32-ect..." it was for my ps3 controller to hook up into my cpu, and that was thowing the connection off like woah. so anyone who has that program, thats your answer.

dude. your right. that was my problem, i uninstalled it and it works. Problem is, i really enjoy using my ps3 controller for games on my pc. Have you found another program to let you use the ps3 controller?

Yeah, I'll take XP over any mac anytime. But with the bad experiences I had with ZUNE, software and hardware. I decided to go back to the store and retrive my 270 dollars back. For Zune has way too many conflicts with it's hardware and drivers. I had my causin's install on my PC, worked fine, but when I intalled the new one, I had the same issue as the video on top. Now, I tried everthing there was to do. Gates needs to review his employees, they are CLUELESS, I know more than they do!!

but when i go to settings, it does not say forget device or whatever.

I own a laptop, and the software was all fuzzy, I couldn't understand a word it said, everything was confusing, and then this problem started happening.

I just went to settings, device, sync options, and pressed forget this device. Then, I held down back and up for four seconds.

TADA! It wasn't fuzzy no more, this problem was gone, and now I love my Zune. Oh, and so this didn't happen ever again, I set up wireless syncing. YAY!

I had same problem.. This fixed it.

1. Right-click My Computer

2. Click Manage

3. Click 'Local Users and Groups'

4. Double click Groups

5. Open up the Administrators group

6. Click Add

7. Click Advanced... and then Find Now

8. Double click on the LOCAL SERVICE user to add it to the Admin group

9. Click ok or finish or whatever.

hey if your still having problems then try what i just did 5 min ago. My zune was doing exactly what yours is doing in the video. I just spent the past 4 hours of my life doing research about this problem, and i fixed mine 5 min ago with what i found.

all i had to do was restart my zune! it was that simple lol...Hold back and hold up until it restarts.

it worked for me. hope it works for you and everyone else who has the same problem.

I was having the same problem with my Zune this is what i did to fix the problem.

go to add/remove programs in control panel and search for a program called libusb, if you have it then uninstall it.

After that try and re-connect your zune.

It worked for me i hope it does for you. :)

Something is up with your computers USB jack, or the cable is to short. Or it's just a small problem. Maybe it's a cable malfunction, buy a new one?
