Oh now this is interesting!! It's very different sounding than most VOCALOID songs. It's not as crisp and perfect sounding as many... but I think that really lends some realism to it. Rin and Len don't sound like machines, they sound like people just... singing. Plain and simple. And I really like that.

My theory: The song is taking place during WW2 when the US is all paranoid about the Japanese. Rin and Len are a pair of twins living in one of the camps for Japanese in the states, and they have a little garage band where they hang out and play music.

They sound kinda "off" to most I guess. Kinda off pitch, not quite in harmony with each other as they usually are. But I think it brings out the effect the songwriter was looking for. Music isn't written in stone. Punk isn't beautiful, and it's my favorite.

Funny, because I didn't notice any dischord in this song...it just sounds so perfect. Disturbing, but perfect. And the PV and artwork are so simple and interesting...the way it's drawn and the way it sounds makes me think of Rin and Len in their garage, starting their own band. I'd buy this album. <3

I'm just going to say--people are entitled to their own opinions and frankly the massive argument at the top of the comments section is unnecessary and unpleasant.

But either way, I am personally not a fan of this song, but I do think the graphics are quite nice and I understand the idea behind it, but it is simply not up my alley. It is one of my favorite videos thus far though. I always enjoy a good grungy(I have no idea how to spell that) effect.

What I got from it is that they are leading meaningless lives-- everybody expects something from them, plan out what they want them to be, and they can't say a thing against it and only able to emit "invisible smoke" of what they're feeling.

Let me get the point straight - I LOVE the twins. But this song is just horrible, I mean the tune is ok, but the twins just screech through the whole song. Rin's voice is done especially bad, as she should be pitched down to match her brother's voice.

I think the screeching is to show how much they dislike what they're talking about. The notes they sing don't match up beautifully, but instead kind of clash against each other to emphasize their discontent. So it's supposed to sound musically hideous : )

You'd have to listen to the song to hear the notes don't match up normally, or clash, or whatever. I think the clashing notes symbolize that they don't like what they're describing. I don't think anyone likes those things. 'Musically hideous' was supposed to mean something like, "both bad and good", but 'Musically' doesn't exactly mean 'Like good music'. It's really hard to explain : )

@Kisekikui Hey, is the composer well known? If it's some well known artist, it's pretty much a given that everything on this song was on purpose. Otherwise, only people that like to either look deeper into a song or find an excuse to not face the true will like this song.

However, on another note, that screeching problem is gone if you JUST lower the volume a little bit. Then it doesn't hurt the ears, and they sound pretty relaxed.

I'm not sure whether or not the composer is well known, but I know that it's the same person who created Reverse Rainbow, which was popular a while back. After listening to that song, it's apparent that Sunzriver knows how to make a sweet-sounding song, meaning that the dissonance here was on purpose. You can also tell by the style of the video, which was made to look like bad quality.

@Awookado Screeching? I think their tuning is done in a very down-to-earth way, personally and reflects the spirit of the song. Rin's voice is alright imo. They sound independent of each other yet cannot separate from each other. Try listening to the song imagining either Rin or Len not singing their notes and it will show. You cannot have life without the highs nor lows.
