The car is actually a 1966 Chrysler 300! Anyway, this video was directed by Michel Gondry's brother Olivier Gondry for Lacquer in 2003. It's 16 mm photography shot at one frame per second of driving and one frame per ten seconds at night.

My bf drives an 18 wheeler from LA to NYC to deliver produce once a month. I went with him twice. Just came back from a trip with him. It took him four days to get there. I wish it could get compressed into 4 min it real life though, I would go with him all the time.

I'm wondering how much time was given to each part of the trip. I'm guessing that if every mile was given equal time the whole video would be a blur. Each mile would be on screen for about 2 frames or 1/15 of a second. Or to put it another way the video would cover 11 miles every second. That would not be interesting. This way is better.
