Who cares what tool you use, I use ryobi because it still works after 5 yrs, dropped it off the ladder and I paid $150 for the 18v 4 pack. The Dewalt drill alone cost $150. All I know is that guy is on the job making money while the rest of you crybabies are whining about tool selection like it's your job!
Common for a residential electrician. Though this show nothing of his work ethic or skills. He is using a ryobi and greenlees big deal. Just because its not a Milwaukee or Dewalt and not all klien tools doesnt mean shit. Kliens are over priced anyway and Ideal makes better tools, Greenlee makes good tools also. My old IBEW foreman used a black and orange screwdriver and old beat to hell tools so ugly no one would still them and would run circles around anyone on this forum. Motor controls/PLC
dew... so your BS union classes make you more than a HS graduate? You still only have a HS diploma in the REAL world there buddy !!! there are Morons Union or Non-union, I don't need anyone to hold my hand to make it in the world, however.
I wouldn't let anybody work on my house wearing shorts and a tank top..... Professionals do not dress like this.... This is what low bidder get's you....
@fg32 Milwaukee my ass, Your an expert when you see them show up with Hilti! I switched 10 years ago and never had one fail yet. Most the shit now days is made in china and last maybe 1 year. I even use snap-on 100% none conductive tools for live parts. Nothing beats made in U.S.A. or Switzerland. Now if fluke would start making U.S.A. meters again. They seem content to say designed in the U.S. made in China!
man dont get sucked into that IF IT AINT KLEIN IT AINT MINE bullshit mentality. a pro can do pro work with ANY Tool. but ryobi DOES suck ass and you DO need to put your bags on. think for your fuckin self. dont be a damn follower repeating shit other idiot journeymen tell you. fuck the union
well after taxes I make about 4500 a month but before taxes its around 6 grand. but some places out west like Alberta you can make over a 100,000 a year
I am a Electrician, I work in Nova scotia Canada. I Do all commercial work right now I am working at a hospital building two new floors onto the Hospital
well buddy its all in what you think your made to do. Are you incredibly smart? if so then go into sciences or medical or be a bloodsucking lawyer lol jk. If your decently smart and enjoy hardwork then be a plumber or electrician. if your dumb as shit and useless then be a drywaller or a cop haha
Hahahahhaha i said that too when i was an Apprentice. However the fact is when you do a ruff in. where are you gonna put ur screws and wirenuts (merets) you gonna carry your hammer in your pocket? and thats just for residential. I do commercial and carry an entire shopping cart of gear along with my tool belt. Its called being time effective insted of walking back and forth like an idiot.
You're so true on that... When ever I go on a worksite....I always career my tools on my belt.....Nothing sucks more then to be on a 10 foot ladder, in a crawl space, or up on a roof, and you gotta stop what you're doing....just to go get a screw driving, a drill bit or a single wire nut.
Also as an electrician I hate working other electricians who never have their own tools, and keep asking if they can use yours. not selfish but some guys get on my nerves with not ever having their tools.
Electrician is a good trade cause of the diversity. You can do residential, commercial, or industrial work Construction or Instrumentation. You can also get into service work or full time maintenance at a single location. You may also become a contractor and work for yourself.
But it is a trade with lots to know and you never stop learning your whole career. It can also be a dangerous job working on live equipment and on distribution.
Yep. Its a good trade but full time maintenance for a single location is something I could never do. Im the kind of person who likes doing a job for a few months at one place but then the next month be in a total different location doing something doing something totaly diffrent instead of going to work at the same place your whole life working on the same crap that keeps breaking down.
to be a licensed union electrician you need more than a hs diploma or a ged... you have to go threw 5 years of being in the apprenticeship program wich includes classes and tests classes and maintain above a 75%
