Fender Strat for the win! im trying to find a in good condition 1954 strat so i can do some holly on it. i just love his voice. my voice is like in tune to every single song of him looks like i have the same gift as holly and the ghost of holly walks in my voice and fingers
@thebopper99 Holly died while Elvis was in the service. Holly was a far more innovative and talented musician. Buddy's work was light years ahead of anything Elvis ever could dream of. All Elvis ever did was to steal his style and music from others. Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry were the true innovators. So if Holly was still alive and active, by the time Presley returns from duty, Holly has lapped him in every respect, and Elvis is a distant memory.
@Chefblackstock Wow guy, talk about a revisionist historian! Holly was great but he wasn't the King. It's not even close especially when it comes to their voice. The King's voice would blow Holly's and anyone else's out of the building. Nice try though!
I'm far from alone on this one. I have no issue with Elvis fans I just personally don't like his music. You can take Elvis, I'll have Holly, Berry, Johnson, Sykes and the ilk. Those who created a genre that Presley gladly feasted off of yet made no notable contribution save taking it to a more mainstream audience. I'm sure if I bastardized an art form and made it poplular by stealing from others and not giving any credit to my predecessors, I would be sainted too.

Nice version, childish dialogue. How many songs did ol' Blue Eyes write?

I'll say it for the umpteenth time. If Buddy doesn't die that day, we never even know who Elivs is.

@Chefblackstock Buddy Holly died in 1959. Elvis brokeout in 1956 and was already the King of Rock n Roll by then.
