  • how did you animate from illustrator? cause i made something in illustrator with layers but then i opened it in photoshop and i lost all of the layers. I guess thats not what you did cause you used illlustrator but just wondering if you knew

  • @elegantKatE I designed all the layered elements in Illustrator, then imported the actual .AI files into After Effects as "compositions." This option lets you retain the different layers so you can manipulate them in AE! Check out my other video called "Our Adventure" to see similar animation like this...

  • @eldusto84 ah ok that makes sense. i just couldnt figure out how to color the images (like with the paint bucket) cause idrew it and the easiest way I knew was in photoshop. and thanks! ill check it out :)

  • where did u learn it ? Did u learn it on the internet?

  • @wengohung Self-taught mostly. This was made using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. But I did take a few college classes too. Try buying an After Effects tutorial book, it helps with the basics...

  • I think its pretty good for your first attempt. How long did it take you to do?

  • @MrColina999 This took me a couple of weeks to make, mostly because I had never done anything like it before and because I had a full-time job to balance my time with...

  • how do you make a video like this ?

  • I wish decorating a tree was that easy haha. Lovely though ^^

  • Primitive, but cute!

  • @ibcnunabit Thanks, I don't really have a lot of animation experience so everything kind of has a South Park look to it :)

Hopefully by the time I'm 60 I'll be good enough to make Pixar-quality animation LOL. Of course by then we'll probably be watching holographic movies or something crazy like that.

  • Reminds me of my early stuff. Keep at it man. :)

    Check out my vids.

  • nice

  • cool, sorta south park style.

  • great work, keep it up ;)

  • Nice! After effects is a great tool for drawing for animation in art class! ;)

Very Charlie Brown esque. I liked it.

I typically only use Adobe After effects for walking when they show the waist up. Adds a nice close up effect. Nice job though. :D

  • Thanks for the fervent admiration...I don't think it's quite Hollywood material but I appreciate the comment anyways lol...

  • Good job

  • your walk cycles are terrible

  • Thanks for noticing. This was my first attempt at real animation so of course it can't be perfect. Most of your stuff is no better.

  • or fast blur some bubbles presets

  • nice one

  • boringgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • Nice work!

  • I really enjoyed that man. New to AE myself...how exactly do you get the snow flake action.

  • There's an effect in AE called CC Snow or something like that. I just tweaked the parameters and it did everything else. Thanks for watching!

  • You can also make your own personalized snow in CC particle world.
