  • @NinjaDino11 no thats real

  • @NinjaDino11 Shut up, you just have no brain and no patience to make something like this, This is truely a work of art and your just to big of a dumb ass to realize it

  • @NinjaDino11 Photoshopping every frame is even more impressive imo. And this entire video is special effects. How do you define fake? Unless you thought he was using a magic frame tile with people inside of it that moved on its own and were sorely disappointed when you learned it was just science and technology.

  • EXCELLENT VID ;)

"THIS WAS HOW THEY MADE IT EVERY FRAME WAS HAND DRAWN!!"

No, this is someone recreating the original CG film with each individual frame printed out. CNN is for stupidfats.

  • I know

  • regardless, this is pretty awesome. kudos

  • Absolutely breath taking. 5/5!

  • in the strictest sense, it isn't stop motion. as it doesn't use maquettes (spelling?). it does however do a wonderful job adapting stop-motion techniques to create a sense of action. love how the images on the paper are only half the action you see going on.

  • That was freaking awesome!!!

  • Real or not (Which I still believe it is) no need to get into insults and arguing . It's epic either way :)

  • Your just dumb and a hater. Hate to break it to you. This is stop motion and if you knew anything about this stuff works, you would know. Nice try though.

  • ? /watch?v=cP6ZaqoesxU

  • Lets break it down for you. The original bad apple animation was taken and broken down into .bmp images frame by frame. And then each frame was printed out. Then each frame was placed down, recorded as a picture, and then put into an editing program. Now aslong as the original animation was broken down correctly and aslong as each frame was given one frame when placed into an editing program, the stop motion would come out as smooth as the original animation. So yea, you are wrong.

  • The images are a bit jumpy, but it gets smoothed by the high fps and the stronger jump of borders. Download to check it frame by frame.

Also, at 3:16 for example you can see the printed reflex in the table. And all the "grey blacks" match the ilumination in the photo. And each image has an number, so that he don't get lost in his prints.

Conclusion: or he is VERY good at faking it, in all those small details, or he really did it. I think the second hypothesis is much more plausible.

  • If he faked to make the center image more stable, why he created imperfections like the light in many scenes? And the several uniquely shaped papercuts and it's shadows and reflexes? Alternativelly, why photograping 6566 papers w/o a image in them? And at 1:20 it shows the object he used to make the shadow, but it was repositioned aftwerwards.

It is easier to make the thing for real, and not take a chance to forget some detail. Please indicate a flash with so many realistic imperfections.

  • The making off of this video:

    watch?v=JXikYw3pU4g

Now there should be no question left, right?

  • Are you saying that the video of how he made this video is faked? All the photos and explanations about the equipament, methods, piles of papers, the papers being positioned to be photographed, etc, all phothoshoped?

If you are in a so deep denial about the reality, then I guess I can do no more. Go live in your imaginary fake world.

  • Probably my last reply to you. Only to understand exactly your position. Have you seen the *entire* following video that I tried to show you? This one: watch?v=JXikYw3pU4g

1- You agree that that this last video is real, but you think he done that video, bought all this equipement, printed all the frames, only after having done the video with flash or After Dark?

2- And you also understand that everyone here knows that the animation that was printed was done beforehand with CG, right?

  • Re-read my questions. You misunderstood them. From what you wrote, you have NOT seen the video that I tried to show you for the third time, and that will clear all this confusion: making off: watch?v=JXikYw3pU4g

You can find the making-off of this video, and this video in the guy's mylist at nicovideo: mylist/767941. You will also find dozens of others animations he did: stop motion, filmed at 1000 fps then reduced to 30fps, etc. Using all kinds of objects in this same room.

  • Also, I have not seen any person trying to claim that he made a thing he hasn't, or that the CG was hand-made (except CCN). Most of the posts here in youtube give the link to the original at nicovideo (sm8628149 for the CG, sm9519847 for the stop motion, sm9560637 for the making-off of the stop motion).

  • @sphinxrising58 Get owned.

  • Lets break it down again. Notice the camera movements? They are used to mask the "jumpyness" of the the cards not being in the -exact- same spot. You can also see the ink on paper at times such as :37. If this was the animation being superimposed, you would see all black, not shades of gray. Not to mention changing bits of grey due to inconsistencies with the level of black being printed. If it was a flash file, it would look a lit crisper.

  • @sphinxrising58 LOL, you must be a nigger.

  • @EdwardLovesJacob lol you must be a racist!

  • @sacredgeometry No, I just hate brown people, is all.

  • @EdwardLovesJacob like i said

  • @ubercraz007 I am a 3d modeler, and I must say that parts of the animation - if not all- are actually 3d. The fact it looks printed may be true. However, they took a clip of each piece of paper appropriately. How to explain the ink-like texture, the 3d animations from a program such as maya- and the paper itself having it's own animation probably... Does your comment still apply to 3d animation- just wondering... : ) only curiosity.

  • @LugiaLightning If I am understanding what you said, that this video has the origional Bad Apple video, a 3d animated piece of paper with an adjusting filter to give it a look like each frame has it's own picture, and a 6566 picture background sequence? I'm not sure what your asking for.

  • @ubercraz007 I mean the original bad apple video appears to be 3d, to me. ^_^; I wasn't sure if your statement mentioned the video as being 2d or 3d.

  • lol@people who say it's fake. you guys just can't appreciate the awesome of this video and the hard work the creator(s) put into this. the video looks real, and it just looks like to be a time consuming project

  • watch?v=Sib2L6A6xgw

That original version is surelly CG. Only CNN is stupid enought to believe that this is the "making-off" of the other version. But this version is stop-motion, from the printed video images.

  • A little correction. The the stilized shadow art is the original in relation to this video, but it was inspired by this one:

    watch?v=HHQJvH1CCGU

  • How can people think this is fake... it can be real easily.

But to the video... awesome, just awesome :o

And to people who think this is fake... even if it were to be a fake, it would still be awesome, it doesn't change that -_-

Gotta give 5/5 to this and fav too ^^

  • LOL How can this be fake?! the original PV was obviously computer rendered and this is like an stop motion using prints of the video frames but that doesn't make it "fake". There are a lot of another versions of the Pv, like the gameboy version

  • He said he used Bad Apple from Touhou, he never said he made the original, nor did he rip it, because he said what video he used.

I know it is tough reading description, but you could at least try it.

  • Nice music though, I will say that.

  • I bet this used a lot of ink

  • Great video! Anyone know the name of this song? I really want to get it!

  • Touhou - Bad Apple

  • what is the name of the song?

    this is awesome!!!

  • Touhou - Bad Apple

  • i don't care for this at all

  • MY HEAD EXPLOD

  • Anyone know the name of this song?

  • Touhou - Bad Apple, it is in the description even.

  • Amazing.

  • Whats this anime called again or the first one?

  • it's not an anime it's a game called Touhou Project

  • Amazing stuff!

  • @glendoi

u forgot to say it is gay too... fking troll

    p.s. amazing video

  • Ya, obviously! Idiot

  • Mindblowing O_o

  • Freakin awesome. Nice work =D

  • Awesome

  • I can _not_ imagine how much work went in to the creation of that. Amazing! Hope it makes you some money :D

  • Absolutely fantastic stuff.

  • This is beautiful and truly creative :)

  • ;A; SO FRIGGIN EPIC.

  • Well, now that youtube has finally hit this video =[ I guess we can now ignore the comments section..

  • @sphinxrising58

This is a beautiful creation by a video animator. It's not any more 'fake' than the original animation it's based off of, or even any other 3d video. It's not supposed to be something anyone could do at home themselves with basic materials. it's mesmerizing, creative, and full of talent. Your implication that it's flawed because you couldn't do it yourself with a digital camera (i.e. 'real') is a pretty basic opinion, sphinx. appreciate it for what it is: a work of art.

  • @sphinxrising58

You're stupid, eh? They must have moved the pictures around in order for the stop-motion animation to be stable! Seems like you would like to see something that's just blurred oddity which looks like nothing.

  • Well you'd need to see how they cut each frame because the cut out themselves aren't even. It's a consistent jumping of one uneven frame to the next. What would solve this mystery is if someone actually used an editing software and dissect each frame to see how they actually did it. Because I think everyone has a point but no one knows for sure

  • Wow, you would insult such beautiful art merely because it does not use traditional means? What on earth are you doing art yourself for then? I care not for the means, as the result contains enough artistic qualities to be pleasing.

And regardless of the method by which the central image is so coordinated, it still took time to create a background to rhythmically coincide with every event of the animation.

  • You, good sir, are an idiot.

  • shut the fuck up you dumb shit.

    Its not fake.

The outer bits "appear to be jumping all over the place" because he has to align each bit of paper to fit with the animation.

It would take for ever but its not fake.

What about the end where its spins? Thats is clearly done with stopmotion.

  • I do stop animation for a living and have used macromedia flash before. Its not fake.

  • This has nothing to do with flash animation at all. Do you even know what it is!?!?

This is a stop motion! Seriously, why do you think this is a "flash animation"!?

  • i remeber seeing this in full color

  • stumbled

  • They did NOT make this. It's a total freaking rip off and I am TIRED of seeing whomever started this Stop motion crap that's going Viral. I've stumbled into this repeatedly and it is so angering that they are gaining so much false undeserved credit.

  • Show us the original. then.

  • Shazam tells me the music is Crypt Castle Cult's "Adventure"...

  • I have seen a lot of cool stuff on youtube. and happen to stumble along on this true masterpiece, i saw very awesome and wow that is all
