...stumbled from Miami FL... easily the best video i have ever seen on youtube...fantastic song, amazing job on the animation... if you made this yourself you should really get into the business of animation... 6 out of 5 stars! :D
I love how no people actually get where the original is from and give all credit to the uploader, even though there's several more with many hundreds of thousands of more views.
sphinxrising58 your the only moron I see here not because of the stop motion but because of your immature and full of your self.

BS, what the guy did was superimpose the original video onto some cards usinf flash, or some simliar program, as it is fairly obvious to spot.
Another guy took this idea & superimposed a reverse version onto what looks like notepad to ive the effect they created it using just notepad alone, but it is the exact same clip as this clown got it off of, so big fail for all the wannabe hucksters on YouTube.
Your just dumb and a hater. Hate to break it to you. This is stop motion and if you knew anything about this stuff works, you would know. Nice try though.

Seems to me, the ones that are convinced that this mess is stop motion are the dumbs ones, & you are clearly showing your own ignorance on what stop motion entials.
So, well, I would like to say, I hated to break it to you, fact is, I injoyed every second, next idiot please. LOL
Lets break it down for you. The original bad apple animation was taken and broken down into .bmp images frame by frame. And then each frame was printed out. Then each frame was placed down, recorded as a picture, and then put into an editing program. Now aslong as the original animation was broken down correctly and aslong as each frame was given one frame when placed into an editing program, the stop motion would come out as smooth as the original animation. So yea, you are wrong.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Since you can clearly see that the edges of the cards are jumping all over the place while the animation remains smooth, this tells anyone with a lick of sense that the animation was super imposed using some type of computer software simliar to Flash, duh
The images are a bit jumpy, but it gets smoothed by the high fps and the stronger jump of borders. Download to check it frame by frame.
Also, at 3:16 for example you can see the printed reflex in the table. And all the "grey blacks" match the ilumination in the photo. And each image has an number, so that he don't get lost in his prints.
Conclusion: or he is VERY good at faking it, in all those small details, or he really did it. I think the second hypothesis is much more plausible.
If he faked to make the center image more stable, why he created imperfections like the light in many scenes? And the several uniquely shaped papercuts and it's shadows and reflexes? Alternativelly, why photograping 6566 papers w/o a image in them? And at 1:20 it shows the object he used to make the shadow, but it was repositioned aftwerwards.
It is easier to make the thing for real, and not take a chance to forget some detail. Please indicate a flash with so many realistic imperfections.

The video was faked. I already explained how so you all just keep posting comments to the opposite, forget reality, as this is, after all, just the web, right?

It will not change the fact this is as fake as the guy who created this particular video using something akin to flash or After Dark, lol
Probably my last reply to you. Only to understand exactly your position. Have you seen the *entire* following video that I tried to show you? This one: watch?v=JXikYw3pU4g
1- You agree that that this last video is real, but you think he done that video, bought all this equipement, printed all the frames, only after having done the video with flash or After Dark?
2- And you also understand that everyone here knows that the animation that was printed was done beforehand with CG, right?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
No, I do not believe he doanloaded anything. No, I do not believe he printed anything out. No, I do not believe he filmed them in sequence. Yes, I seen the orginal CG version, as well as half a dozen variations of this same clip, all claiming the poster had done them by hand ( * SIGHS * ), and yes, I say that are all liars & fakes.
If you & other noobs want to believe someone did what they claim to have done, fine, I have some great beach front property in S. Dokota, lol
Re-read my questions. You misunderstood them. From what you wrote, you have NOT seen the video that I tried to show you for the third time, and that will clear all this confusion: making off: watch?v=JXikYw3pU4g
You can find the making-off of this video, and this video in the guy's mylist at nicovideo: mylist/767941. You will also find dozens of others animations he did: stop motion, filmed at 1000 fps then reduced to 30fps, etc. Using all kinds of objects in this same room.
Also, I have not seen any person trying to claim that he made a thing he hasn't, or that the CG was hand-made (except CCN). Most of the posts here in youtube give the link to the original at nicovideo (sm8628149 for the CG, sm9519847 for the stop motion, sm9560637 for the making-off of the stop motion).
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Let me break it down for all you morons who are fooled by this wannabe.
Say he did film the original & then transfer the images one by one onto cards, OK, fine, but there is a catch most of you have not noticed, most likely because you are all to fucking stupid, or stoned, maybe both.
In order for the images not to be jumpy, each card would have to be the same size and aligned with each other for a smooth transition in the animation.
Lets break it down again. Notice the camera movements? They are used to mask the "jumpyness" of the the cards not being in the -exact- same spot. You can also see the ink on paper at times such as :37. If this was the animation being superimposed, you would see all black, not shades of gray. Not to mention changing bits of grey due to inconsistencies with the level of black being printed. If it was a flash file, it would look a lit crisper.
@ubercraz007 I am a 3d modeler, and I must say that parts of the animation - if not all- are actually 3d. The fact it looks printed may be true. However, they took a clip of each piece of paper appropriately. How to explain the ink-like texture, the 3d animations from a program such as maya- and the paper itself having it's own animation probably... Does your comment still apply to 3d animation- just wondering... : ) only curiosity.
@LugiaLightning If I am understanding what you said, that this video has the origional Bad Apple video, a 3d animated piece of paper with an adjusting filter to give it a look like each frame has it's own picture, and a 6566 picture background sequence? I'm not sure what your asking for.
lol@people who say it's fake. you guys just can't appreciate the awesome of this video and the hard work the creator(s) put into this. the video looks real, and it just looks like to be a time consuming project
That original version is surelly CG. Only CNN is stupid enought to believe that this is the "making-off" of the other version. But this version is stop-motion, from the printed video images.
LOL How can this be fake?! the original PV was obviously computer rendered and this is like an stop motion using prints of the video frames but that doesn't make it "fake". There are a lot of another versions of the Pv, like the gameboy version
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yes dear god it IS Fake, stop praising this rip off for gods sake. They just did the stop motion and put the video on top of the cards. Whatever process used, it STILL is a rip off and NOT the original creation. It's common to make different versions of games, but when they wont even admit they didn't originally create it. That's when you piss fans off.
You can definitely see the inner animation moving and shaking along with the outer frames; denouncing it fake isn't as simple as that. I do find it hard to believe that this is true stop-motion (while open to the idea), but regardless of whether or not it is actually stop motion, it is still an utterly stunning effect, and that's all that really matters.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
If you watch the outer edges, you will see they appear to be jumping all over the place while the inside frame & animation it contains remains motionless, which equals FAKE.
Not only that, but watch several parts closely, & you will see it is just mere animation disgused as stop motion animation.
This is a beautiful creation by a video animator. It's not any more 'fake' than the original animation it's based off of, or even any other 3d video. It's not supposed to be something anyone could do at home themselves with basic materials. it's mesmerizing, creative, and full of talent. Your implication that it's flawed because you couldn't do it yourself with a digital camera (i.e. 'real') is a pretty basic opinion, sphinx. appreciate it for what it is: a work of art.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Look moron, common sense dictates that if the out edges are jumping all over the place so would the basic cells they contain, or are you so dense not to realize that?
Work of BS is more like it, lol
Some people like yourself will never know art because they are too busy trying to con everyone else with digital BS.
You're stupid, eh? They must have moved the pictures around in order for the stop-motion animation to be stable! Seems like you would like to see something that's just blurred oddity which looks like nothing.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Look, you stupid lil troll, if you know anything at all about stop motion animation, you would know each cell has to be lined up percisely in sequence, or the images will be jumpy & blurred at full motion, usually about 24 frames per second, duh.
Since, you can clearly see that the outer edges jump around while the inner frame remains stable, we know it's fake, most likely flash created, duh.
Well you'd need to see how they cut each frame because the cut out themselves aren't even. It's a consistent jumping of one uneven frame to the next. What would solve this mystery is if someone actually used an editing software and dissect each frame to see how they actually did it. Because I think everyone has a point but no one knows for sure
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Since each cell is dependent upon the one preceding it, as well as the one following it for what they call continuity, uneven frames would not be an option for true stop motion photography.
I have seen both flash animation, as well as old school stop motion animation, & I can one from another, fairly easy to spot the differences so well some uneducated in the fmilm techniques might not know, I do.
Wow, you would insult such beautiful art merely because it does not use traditional means? What on earth are you doing art yourself for then? I care not for the means, as the result contains enough artistic qualities to be pleasing.
And regardless of the method by which the central image is so coordinated, it still took time to create a background to rhythmically coincide with every event of the animation.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Hey dick, I seen the orginal version of this video so knock off with the artsy fartsy crapola already.
Point is that it's anything but stop motion animation, hence, fake.
Give a moron a computer, the net, and this is what you get, lol
And to answer tyour question, yeah, you could say I am an artist myself, but I do not feel the need to cheat or lie, nor post work of others as my own, lol
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Look moron, I seen the orginal version, plus about 50 other posters, all who claim they did this work also.
Look at the swoops of the swords as they spin, the fire burning, bothing not able to do with stop motion animation, much less various other parts of this video.
It's fairly good falsh animation, but hardly stop motion animation.
They did NOT make this. It's a total freaking rip off and I am TIRED of seeing whomever started this Stop motion crap that's going Viral. I've stumbled into this repeatedly and it is so angering that they are gaining so much false undeserved credit.
Whats the neme of the music
and nice Stop motion

@ubercraz007 I mean the original bad apple video appears to be 3d, to me. ^_^; I wasn't sure if your statement mentioned the video as being 2d or 3d.

lol@people who say it's fake. you guys just can't appreciate the awesome of this video and the hard work the creator(s) put into this. the video looks real, and it just looks like to be a time consuming project

Because I seen the orginal version of this video, which was computer generated, duh.

That original version is surelly CG. Only CNN is stupid enought to believe that this is the "making-off" of the other version. But this version is stop-motion, from the printed video images.
Caroliano 1 year ago 4
A little correction. The the stilized shadow art is the original in relation to this video, but it was inspired by this one:

How can people think this is fake... it can be real easily.
But to the video... awesome, just awesome :o
And to people who think this is fake... even if it were to be a fake, it would still be awesome, it doesn't change that -_-
Gotta give 5/5 to this and fav too ^^
Jarzka92 2 years ago 5
LOL How can this be fake?! the original PV was obviously computer rendered and this is like an stop motion using prints of the video frames but that doesn't make it "fake". There are a lot of another versions of the Pv, like the gameboy version

Again, STOP praising it you dumb assess.
CelestialPlatypuses 2 years ago
He said he used Bad Apple from Touhou, he never said he made the original, nor did he rip it, because he said what video he used.
I know it is tough reading description, but you could at least try it.

If you watch the outer edges, you will see they appear to be jumping all over the place while the inside frame & animation it contains remains motionless, which equals FAKE.
Not only that, but watch several parts closely, & you will see it is just mere animation disgused as stop motion animation.
sphinxrising58 2 years ago
@sphinxrising58

Look moron, common sense dictates that if the out edges are jumping all over the place so would the basic cells they contain, or are you so dense not to realize that?
Work of BS is more like it, lol
Some people like yourself will never know art because they are too busy trying to con everyone else with digital BS.
sphinxrising58 2 years ago
@sphinxrising58
You're stupid, eh? They must have moved the pictures around in order for the stop-motion animation to be stable! Seems like you would like to see something that's just blurred oddity which looks like nothing.
Shuppiduu 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Look, you stupid lil troll, if you know anything at all about stop motion animation, you would know each cell has to be lined up percisely in sequence, or the images will be jumpy & blurred at full motion, usually about 24 frames per second, duh.
Since, you can clearly see that the outer edges jump around while the inner frame remains stable, we know it's fake, most likely flash created, duh.
Got it now?
sphinxrising58 2 years ago
Well you'd need to see how they cut each frame because the cut out themselves aren't even. It's a consistent jumping of one uneven frame to the next. What would solve this mystery is if someone actually used an editing software and dissect each frame to see how they actually did it. Because I think everyone has a point but no one knows for sure
FoodB12 2 years ago 3
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Since each cell is dependent upon the one preceding it, as well as the one following it for what they call continuity, uneven frames would not be an option for true stop motion photography.
I have seen both flash animation, as well as old school stop motion animation, & I can one from another, fairly easy to spot the differences so well some uneducated in the fmilm techniques might not know, I do.
FAIL!
sphinxrising58 2 years ago
Wow, you would insult such beautiful art merely because it does not use traditional means? What on earth are you doing art yourself for then? I care not for the means, as the result contains enough artistic qualities to be pleasing.
And regardless of the method by which the central image is so coordinated, it still took time to create a background to rhythmically coincide with every event of the animation.

Hey dick, I seen the orginal version of this video so knock off with the artsy fartsy crapola already.
Point is that it's anything but stop motion animation, hence, fake.
Give a moron a computer, the net, and this is what you get, lol
And to answer tyour question, yeah, you could say I am an artist myself, but I do not feel the need to cheat or lie, nor post work of others as my own, lol
sphinxrising58 2 years ago
You, good sir, are an idiot.
ubercraz007 2 years ago
shut the fuck up you dumb shit.
Its not fake.
The outer bits "appear to be jumping all over the place" because he has to align each bit of paper to fit with the animation.
It would take for ever but its not fake.
What about the end where its spins? Thats is clearly done with stopmotion.

Like I said, this is FAKE, or are you too stiupid to read four letter words?
I've done stop motion animation so I know what to look for, & I've seen flash animation also, which this clearly is.

I do stop animation for a living and have used macromedia flash before. Its not fake.
dodgydogman 2 years ago 4

Sure you do it for a living, & yes, it is fake as hell, as like I said, I seen the original version already.
This is just a copy of someone else's work, & it is flash so it is not by difinition stop motion animation numbnuts.
If you did this for a living as you falsely claim, you would know what stop animation entials, & that flash animation is not the same at all.
Better learn how to lie better son.
sphinxrising58 2 years ago
This has nothing to do with flash animation at all. Do you even know what it is!?!?
This is a stop motion! Seriously, why do you think this is a "flash animation"!?
dodgydogman 2 years ago 3

Look moron, I seen the orginal version, plus about 50 other posters, all who claim they did this work also.
Look at the swoops of the swords as they spin, the fire burning, bothing not able to do with stop motion animation, much less various other parts of this video.
It's fairly good falsh animation, but hardly stop motion animation.
