2006 Mustang GT Borla Stinger

I wonder how these stingers compare with the Gibson exhaust? I never heard the Gibson but I read that they make a great system like the Borla. Your mustang sounds great!

@weenaud u should put Flowmaster super 44 or SLP Loudmouth 1 with off road H pipe for Flowmaster and off road X pipe for SLP!!!!!!! i use to have borla stingers on my mach 1 and the sound was not bad but not as loud and agressive as the super 44s or SLP the sound they make are just pure muscle sound!!!!!!! Borla just sounds like a aftermarket nissan 350z!!!!

I'm looking at the Stingers for my '06 GT as well. How bad would you say the drone is 1 to 10 if 1 is stock and 10 is having to talk loudly for your passenger to hear you?

@srvguitarrulez hmm. well it depends on the speed for sure. at normal cruising, they're not bad at all, but at around 55-60 mph, i would say at least a 6 but more like about a 7-8 on the scale. its worth it though because they sound really good

Too bad the stingers are illegal here in CA. Yes, you could install them, but you may get harassed by the cops.

Yea I saw that when we got them...it said they were illegal in CA because of the drive by sound limit or something, I don't see why though, they're never obnoxious, just a loud low tone. But, CA laws don't affect me, in Alabama you can just about run straights if you want! haha

AGREED! All too often you can tell whether or not it sounds good because people have the camera almost INSIDE the pipes. This was a
