Do any capoeiristas on here know what the technique lateef uses at 1:47? not the first kick the somersault type move. I do capoeira but I haven't been doing it long enough to be exposed to all the techniques.

@redunculous depends on the group/style of Capoeira but generally au cortado. An example being in Contra-Mestre Crowder's style there is a kick called negativa de modacao, but in my group we call it chapa de choru.

Scott eat drinks and breathes martial arts. Lateef isnt about fighting as much as doing demos, stunts and etc. thats my opinion on it at least

I practice it, i've seen what it can do. Don't put your faith in any single style, learn as many styles as you can to cover all aspects of combat. Striking & grappling. Weapons & empty hands. That was Bruce Lee's goal with Jeet Kune Do. To learn multiple styles & interpret the techniques for yourself. To use what works for you.
