Reagan was the worst president we've had in modern history, Responsible for the rise of bin Laden, the largest expansion of our national debt in the entire history of our nation, and record spending increases. Republicans complain about Obama but everything they say about him applies to Reagan ten-fold. But what are you going to do that's different Ronald? When Reaganomics passed, unemployment rose to 12% at the end of his first 4 years. In his last 4 years it went down to 5.5%, but I would argue that it was because of the democratic congress increased spending when they won back power.
During the iranian hostage crisis George HW Bush used his cia contacts to make a deal with the iranians.They wanted them to hold them until after the election,they were afraid it would help carter if they were released before.So they made a deal and the hostages were released 20 mins after Reagan was sworn in.As we all know now Reagn then sold US missles to a terrorist nation in exchange for holding the hostages longer. Reagan's people secretly went over to Iran and told the hostage-takers they'd get a better deal with a Reagan presidency, rather than settling with the Carter Administration. This was TREASON. President Carter had been on the verge of resolving the crisis and getting the hostages freed, up until that point. With the hostages still in captivity, Carter's loss was assured. And so the hostages were released just minutes after Reagan was sworn in.

American politics, my personal summary. 1st the republicans are elected, once in power they begin to slowly erode the nation to gain capital for themselves and corporations they are associated with. Once these goals can be furthered no more at the time, the republicans intentionally blow the election and allow the democrats to repair the damage done, all the while blaming the democrats for the problems rep. made. Then a smear election, rep. pres, and repeat the process.
Tax revenue from tax cuts are always stronger in a strong economy. When you cut taxes people spend more money at the market place and so on. They buy much more taxed goods which then creates tax revenue for the gov. When they have more of their own money and no fear of losing there job they spend. This is easy stuff.
"Is it easier for you to go and buy things in the store than it was 4 years ago?" It is sad that something like that is what Americans look to in order to judge their and their county's well-being. Sadly, it is that same sentiment that is killing our county's current economy. People would rather pay half as much for a pair of jeans made in China than pay twice as much for those same jeans made in the U.S. The beauty of a free market economy is that the people choose, were choosing wrong.

This is why I don't vote republican. WHAT was that other Legislation that Reagan was for? Carter actually stated what he was for. All Reagan did was tell people to think about the last 4 years. But what are you going to do that's different Ronald? When Reaganomics passed, unemployment rose to 12% at the end of his first 4 years. In his last 4 years it went down to 5.5%, but I would argue that it was because of the democratic congress increased spending when they won back power.

During the iranian hostage crisis George HW Bush used his cia contacts to make a deal with the iranians.They wanted them to hold them until after the election,they were afraid it would help carter if they were released before.So they made a deal and the hostages were released 20 mins after Reagan was sworn in.As we all know now Reagn then sold US missles to a terrorist nation in exchange for holding the hostages longer. Reagan's people secretly went over to Iran and told the hostage-takers they'd get a better deal with a Reagan presidency, rather than settling with the Carter Administration. This was TREASON. President Carter had been on the verge of resolving the crisis and getting the hostages freed, up until that point. With the hostages still in captivity, Carter's loss was assured. And so the hostages were released just minutes after Reagan was sworn in.

Nixon's people went over to the South Vietnamese in 1968 and told them they'd get a better deal by not working with LBJ; and so the S. Vitenamese walked away from the Paris Peace Talks. They'd rather let the country default on those bills and throw us into another recession or even a depression. To be fair, this is largely due to the so-called Tea Party faction.

Tax revenue from tax cuts are always stronger in a strong economy. When you cut taxes people spend more money at the market place and so on. They buy much more taxed goods which then creates tax revenue for the gov. When they have more of their own money and no fear of losing there job they spend. This is easy stuff.

Instead of paying down this debt like he said he would he blew it up. Reagan nearly trippeld the debt to almost 3 trillion dollars. Now apply interest to that for the last 20+ years. They don't need a check for a couple hundred bucks, they need a job. (those wll return in 2012 after the great "RIP DNC") There needs to be reasons why people believe the future looks better financially, and indeed in every other way too. A stimulus program doesn't cut it, not by itself.
You need a change of policy that is significant enough and logical enough to convince the public that we're on the right track.
