Do you have "Navarre And Isabeau's Dual Transformation" transcribed? I am thinking of attempting it, but would much rather have the sheet music to avoid mistakes.
@balsant No sorry, I wrote down on sheet just Isabeau's theme and a piece of main theme. Write me here your email address (I will remove it soon, will not leave it public for spammers to use it). Or write me a private msg.. but I put the block of messages coming from non-friends and YT is removing the friends option merging with sunscribers. so I subbed to you and hope it works.
@balsant BTW Dual transformation is the masterpiece of the LH soundtrack. It merges all main themes of the movie, at a certain point playing all of them at once, so it would be difficult to adapt it for piano. I did a question to Andrew Powell about, he replied me, se andrewpowell(dot)com
Great playing. Where did you find the sheet music for the Ladyhawke main title and Isabeau's theme? I'd be interested in buying it to play, myself. ;)
It is incredible! I saw your videos... You definitely are the god of piano! I love APP songs (but I thought that AP is the author of the most of songs) and now I saw the finest piano cover. Thanks for your work!
@sheinv Thank you very much and welcome on my channel - I will also send you invite to the fans group. If someone is god on piano that is Eric Woolfson. Yes he wrote the majority of the Project songs, Alan composing the 75% of the instrumental material. Eric passed away three months ago but he is immortal in his music. And he continues to produce music, since his favorite vocalist Steve Balsamo just announced is working on some new EW songs.
@imalaffer It will be the studio album of the latest EW musical "Dancing Shadows" and will feature "No Answers only Questions" and "Any Other Day" in versions sung by Steve. The album is still unpublished, there are some audio clips on ericwoolfsonmusic(dot)com.
Thanx. I notice you even didn't name Ladyhawke as keeping it implicit.. it is just part of this medley which is mainly dedicated to The Alan Parsons Project (which, practically, also did Ladyhawke music). I notice generally on my videos that soundtracks are quite popular.
Thanx fellow! I know your good Ladyhawke electronic cover since long time.. sort of complementary to my acoustic one (complementary, in full APP/Ladyhawke style! :-)
do you have the sheet music for this? it's such a beautiful theme and i haven't been able to find it. you play it so well. you can send me a message if it is possible to email it. thanks so much!
Hi Renee, nice to meet you. This is not a "theme" but a medley of several songs from APP (see description).
APP sheet music was out of print for years but now a sheet music compilation has been published and is available on the shop of the official site (see again description for the link). I don't remember if it includes all the songs performed here, you can check on the shop.
No no no.. I don't speak about the singer Ladyhawke, but of the middle-age/fantasy movie. Actually she named herself in homage to the movie. Ladyhawke is a movie of 1985 starring Rutger Hauer, Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Broderick. The soundtrack was composed by APP's orchestral arranger Andrew Powell, and performed by the most of APP. It's this which I covered in the last two pieces of this medley.
The songs I played here are particularly dramatic/melodic because I selected the moments dominated by acoustic piano. But The Alan Parsons Project does Rock.
Thanx Olivier.. I see on your channel that you are also fan of great Supertramp.. sending you a Logical Song cover by my friend Alec which is also a great APP fan!
muchas gracias... hey but why you're talking me in Spanish, you're USA and me italian LOL! You like Indiana Jones.. Spielberg? THen check my Jaws piano cover!
wat a wonderful piece of music, so spiritual & so tender great job man as i expected from u(hey i'm back,it's been along time;i've been doin my post graduate on english literature so i was in tight spot lately and i didn't catch up. by the way, thanx alot for the nice videos u sent me,i liked'em all especially"cofee kills".thanx man u r a good friend, wish ya the best with your music.and once again i liked this video bravo
Hi dr, and thanx for putting again a video of mine in the favs. Beware this music is not mine but by an English rock group called The Alan Parsons Project, to which the most of my channel is dedicated. Irony is that it hadn't much success in the home country, but it has in the world. If you like English literature you would appreciate even his lyrics, starting from 1st album which is about E.A.Poe. On my channel press on top "Playlist" and select APP0 to get an overview about the group.
Thank you for the compliments. The music is by The Alan Parsons Project, which in the original versions employs also orchestras and a rock band. See the video description for the link to the official site and the name of the tunes. Although faithfully, I played the music by ear. The sheets exist but they are simplified and out of print, now available only on ebay as rarities.
Well, partly you're right.. This medley unavoidably selects only some specifical moments based on solo piano, but the most of the Alan Parsons Project music was originary performed with a rock band and orchestra, so you lose the rock potential here. Get information on the group to have a complete idea about it.
Thank you very much. It's fantastic that APP is becoming a transgenerational phenomenon. As for the Italian tribute band, I only play as guest in it, and for the moment they have no video on YouTube, sorry.
Uh better than the original? Too good, no that's not true.
As for the camera.. good idea putting it right above the keyboard, many do it.. but for now I can't since I use the camera built in the frame of my portable pc, would you believe it?
I should buy a digital camera, also because the pc puts often audio jumps in the recording, forcing me to record more takes and hence losing lots of time AAAARGHHH. I'm struggling with this right now!
Thank you so much Aaron, yours is the 50th comment for this video, and words like yours keep me going. I enjoy recording new stuff but always have little but multiple tech problems with piano, mic, pc which don't give me the perfection I'd like. At least next now I use a professional mic (see my Jaws video). Hope to solve all soon, next one should be a small collaboration with a friend that you and me have in common, eh eh!
woow.. this was really good. best ladyhawke music at piano! 5/5 stars!!!! you should make more music of piano you really good. i like the ladyhawke though.
Thank you very much. I have an entire Ladyhawke piano cover video in program but it's not the first thing in list.. the first things being other APP instrumentals/songs and other authors' movie soundtracks (like the Jaws just posted). If interested I suggest you to subscribe.

Actually this video was originarily a show of my possibility for the Italian APP cover band "Nevermore". Saw their 1st concert in Rome, awesome. I will be with them, only as guest because of a different city. It's beautiful that APP cover bands exists in the world. I know only of us and the USA one, plus some Turkish which did a live of La Sagrada Familia published here on youtube. Which country are you from?

Actually this video was originarily a show of my possibility for the Italian APP cover band "Nevermore". Saw their 1st concert in Rome, awesome. I will be with them, only as guest because of a different city. It's beautiful that APP cover bands exists in the world. I know only of us and the USA one, plus some Turkish which did a live of La Sagrada Familia published here on youtube. Which country are you from?
