  • Do you have "Navarre And Isabeau's Dual Transformation" transcribed? I am thinking of attempting it, but would much rather have the sheet music to avoid mistakes.

  • @balsant No sorry, I wrote down on sheet just Isabeau's theme and a piece of main theme. Write me here your email address (I will remove it soon, will not leave it public for spammers to use it). Or write me a private msg.. but I put the block of messages coming from non-friends and YT is removing the friends option merging with sunscribers. so I subbed to you and hope it works.

  • @balsant BTW Dual transformation is the masterpiece of the LH soundtrack. It merges all main themes of the movie, at a certain point playing all of them at once, so it would be difficult to adapt it for piano. I did a question to Andrew Powell about, he replied me, se andrewpowell(dot)com

  • Great playing. Where did you find the sheet music for the Ladyhawke main title and Isabeau's theme? I'd be interested in buying it to play, myself. ;)

  • @DruenBlackstar Thanx. Sheet music for Ladyhawke never existed in commerce.

  • It is incredible! I saw your videos... You definitely are the god of piano! I love APP songs (but I thought that AP is the author of the most of songs) and now I saw the finest piano cover. Thanks for your work!

  • @sheinv Thank you very much and welcome on my channel - I will also send you invite to the fans group. If someone is god on piano that is Eric Woolfson. Yes he wrote the majority of the Project songs, Alan composing the 75% of the instrumental material. Eric passed away three months ago but he is immortal in his music. And he continues to produce music, since his favorite vocalist Steve Balsamo just announced is working on some new EW songs.

  • @urbania70 where is steves remakes of EW music?

  • @imalaffer It will be the studio album of the latest EW musical "Dancing Shadows" and will feature "No Answers only Questions" and "Any Other Day" in versions sung by Steve. The album is still unpublished, there are some audio clips on ericwoolfsonmusic(dot)com.

  • I love the first minute of the main theme, and Isabeau's theme is so pretty. :) You played them beautifully. :)

  • Thanx. I notice you even didn't name Ladyhawke as keeping it implicit.. it is just part of this medley which is mainly dedicated to The Alan Parsons Project (which, practically, also did Ladyhawke music). I notice generally on my videos that soundtracks are quite popular.

  • wow, I'm very impressed

I'm deeply in love with the main theme and Isabeau's theme

  • Eheh I knew it would like you, thank you for your comment and subscription!

  • Beautiful!! 5* for sure

  • Thanx, I see Ladyhawke in your facorites, so nice that someone of the young generation loves the 80s Ladyhawke movie!

  • Impressionante! A volte indistinguibile o meglio di Alan stesso....

  • Troppo gentile, grazie. Benvenuto.

  • Absolutely beautiful.....my favorite movie and songs of all time!!! Thank you!!!

  • Thanx! If you're also APP fan, check on my channel various APP piano covers

  • Oh.. it's you! Your keyboard rendition is great too! Added you as friend, invited you in fans group..

  • thank you, very nice...

    5*

  • Thanx Natasha!

  • I love it 5 stars

  • Thanx!

  • Tutte bellissime

  • haha grazie

  • Very nice!

  • Thanx fellow! I know your good Ladyhawke electronic cover since long time.. sort of complementary to my acoustic one (complementary, in full APP/Ladyhawke style! :-)

  • lol I recognized every song in less than a second. I love your medley!

  • Thanx!

  • do you have the sheet music for this? it's such a beautiful theme and i haven't been able to find it. you play it so well. you can send me a message if it is possible to email it. thanks so much!

  • Hi Renee, nice to meet you. This is not a "theme" but a medley of several songs from APP (see description).

APP sheet music was out of print for years but now a sheet music compilation has been published and is available on the shop of the official site (see again description for the link). I don't remember if it includes all the songs performed here, you can check on the shop.

  • Only the last two pieces which I played here are themes, from a soundtrack (again, see description). Its score was never published.

Are you a fan of APP?

  • Bravo !!!!

    Luca.

  • Grazie! Vedo che hai nei preferiti un video relativo a Ladyhawke.. conoscevi anche APP in generale?

  • All your videos are so enjoyable! fantastic!

    you`re very talented!! Congratulations! 5*!

  • Thanx Lorena! Did you know Ladyhawke?

  • You are welcome!..

In fact, I only know Ladyhawke`s great song "Paris is Burning"...and that she is from New Zealand....and was influenced by 80's music...

  • No no no.. I don't speak about the singer Ladyhawke, but of the middle-age/fantasy movie. Actually she named herself in homage to the movie. Ladyhawke is a movie of 1985 starring Rutger Hauer, Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Broderick. The soundtrack was composed by APP's orchestral arranger Andrew Powell, and performed by the most of APP. It's this which I covered in the last two pieces of this medley.

  • dramatic songs

  • The songs I played here are particularly dramatic/melodic because I selected the moments dominated by acoustic piano. But The Alan Parsons Project does Rock.

  • You are very good.

    Pººhßear

  • Thanx friend. My oldest video.. you wouldn't believe, done with the builtin webcam and mic of a portable pc!

  • wonderful rendition Giorgio...you do APP very well my friend...thank you for the melody...5 stars*****

  • Thank you friend.. it was quite a while that someone didn't visit this video, it's my oldest one!

See also my two collaborations with Alec at voice: Amontillado and Shadow of a Lonely Man.

  • great job my friend

    perfect

  • Thanx Olivier.. I see on your channel that you are also fan of great Supertramp.. sending you a Logical Song cover by my friend Alec which is also a great APP fan!

  • muy bien, te sacaste un 10, saludos urbania70

  • thanx a lot friend!

  • muy bueno

  • muchas gracias... hey but why you're talking me in Spanish, you're USA and me italian LOL! You like Indiana Jones.. Spielberg? THen check my Jaws piano cover!

  • haha idk i speak spanglish a lot..im in cancun 4 vacation so i speak spanish a lot right now

    haha

  • Spanglish LOL.. new language.. crossing between English and Spanish.. Spanglish is common in California, on the internet..

  • thanks again

  • wat a wonderful piece of music, so spiritual & so tender great job man as i expected from u(hey i'm back,it's been along time;i've been doin my post graduate on english literature so i was in tight spot lately and i didn't catch up. by the way, thanx alot for the nice videos u sent me,i liked'em all especially"cofee kills".thanx man u r a good friend, wish ya the best with your music.and once again i liked this video bravo

  • Hi dr, and thanx for putting again a video of mine in the favs. Beware this music is not mine but by an English rock group called The Alan Parsons Project, to which the most of my channel is dedicated. Irony is that it hadn't much success in the home country, but it has in the world. If you like English literature you would appreciate even his lyrics, starting from 1st album which is about E.A.Poe. On my channel press on top "Playlist" and select APP0 to get an overview about the group.

  • Wow, this is wonderful! You wouldn't have the notes for this, would you? I absolutely love it.

  • Thank you for the compliments. The music is by The Alan Parsons Project, which in the original versions employs also orchestras and a rock band. See the video description for the link to the official site and the name of the tunes. Although faithfully, I played the music by ear. The sheets exist but they are simplified and out of print, now available only on ebay as rarities.

  • Well done!!!

    Congratulations

  • Thanx Paula. I sent you an invitation to the fans group. It's easy. You can also reach it by pressing Groups on top of my page.

  • Wow, you playing piano like a professional. Wonderful (5 stars for you)

  • Thanx Migue, I exchange the compliment!

  • BORING!!!

  • Well, partly you're right.. This medley unavoidably selects only some specifical moments based on solo piano, but the most of the Alan Parsons Project music was originary performed with a rock band and orchestra, so you lose the rock potential here. Get information on the group to have a complete idea about it.

  • It is great man. You should upload the complete pieces. It is very nice to see what educated fans of Allan Parson can do. Good work!!

  • Thank you very much. Alan Parsons with one "l" anyway. Visit my channel for more about APP, I will also send you invitation to the fans group.

  • wow ,thats fab. My son is teaching himself piano and is just getting in to APP . I've been a fan since 1977. I would love to see your tribute band

  • Thank you very much. It's fantastic that APP is becoming a transgenerational phenomenon. As for the Italian tribute band, I only play as guest in it, and for the moment they have no video on YouTube, sorry.

  • Genial me encantó Giorgio!!! que temazo!!!

  • Thank you friend!

  • Wow!

This is really awsome! I love the way you played the Ladyhawke music!

  • Welcome Ladyhawke. On my channel press on top "playlist" for more about APP. I will also send you the invite to the fans group.

  • No words, it's just amazing! Silence and I and Gaudi are even better than the original, but all the parts are simply great.

More by Alan Parsons, please!!! It would be great to hear entirely all the song of this medley

And btw, it also would be great if you could put the camera right above the keyboard, so that we can see.

    Bravo!!

  • Uh better than the original? Too good, no that's not true.

As for the camera.. good idea putting it right above the keyboard, many do it.. but for now I can't since I use the camera built in the frame of my portable pc, would you believe it?

I should buy a digital camera, also because the pc puts often audio jumps in the recording, forcing me to record more takes and hence losing lots of time AAAARGHHH. I'm struggling with this right now!

  • Hey my friend!! How come I've missed this great clip all this time!!

Wow! You don't only play very well, but you also get the feeling of those wonderful pieces!! Can't wait to hear those vids you plan uploading!!

Oh! And also all my respect for the effort you've put to expand the APP magic!! Take Care!

  • Thank you so much Aaron, yours is the 50th comment for this video, and words like yours keep me going. I enjoy recording new stuff but always have little but multiple tech problems with piano, mic, pc which don't give me the perfection I'd like. At least next now I use a professional mic (see my Jaws video). Hope to solve all soon, next one should be a small collaboration with a friend that you and me have in common, eh eh!

  • And thanx for the sub as well!

  • No problem! I'm definitively keepin' an eye on this stuff!

I forgot to ask you, did you learn the songs by ear or did you use sheet music?

  • Generally by ear, but for the Ladyhawke opening part (the one originally done with strings) I wrote down the sheet.

  • woow.. this was really good. best ladyhawke music at piano! 5/5 stars!!!! you should make more music of piano you really good. i like the ladyhawke though.

  • Thank you very much. I have an entire Ladyhawke piano cover video in program but it's not the first thing in list.. the first things being other APP instrumentals/songs and other authors' movie soundtracks (like the Jaws just posted). If interested I suggest you to subscribe.

  • very nice.

  • Thank... You...

Really ! It's.. wow.. it's something to share that with you and everyone ! Soooo beautiful !

    Please, please ! ... Share more !

We'd love to share it with you and enjoy all that !

And.. thank you ! .. once again..

  • Hey thanx a lot! Adding you as friend as APP appreciator. And don't worry.. I'll post soon an entire APP instrumental!

  • wow what a talent you have! talented in English and playing the piano! what more could turn on a women! lol

  • Eh eh! What can I say.. Thank you!!!
