Even Washington D.C. would rival Detroit if not for federal dollars that Detroit doesn't have. In 1945, Detroit was one of the most prosperous cities in the country, with a strong middle class. What Detroit looks like today is what the rest of the country will look like if Obama is reelected. Think about it.
The best thing for Detroit is to actually be turned into farm land again! We need more food nobody lives there the homes and commercial building's are falling down. It writing on the wall! Imagine all the free range animals and crops we can have in the huge amount of acres available!

I've explored some abandoned building at night before, a long time ago. It looked like a drug deal going down a couple hundred yards away, but nobody saw us. I've had my car break down in the ghetto at night before, and had to walk to a gas station. There were no lights on the street on I was on, everything just looked abandoned. It's definitely not a place you want to be at night if you don't belong, and certainly not to film anything... can't see shit.
I didn't see any homeless people in the Packard plant during multiple visits. However, in my last video, part 3, we did see people burning books in barrels inside the Detroit Public School Warehouse. I'm sure they were in the Packard too, but they seem keep to them selves.
i stayed at the Motor City Casino Hotel back in July and although it was beautiful there, when I was driving through Detroit to get there....what a shithole! Boarded up houses, abandoned factories with broken glass, I was scared for my life! It makes my birthplace of Trenton, NJ look like the Hamptons!

I was surprised that Camosilver didn't run into any other people while investigating these abandoned structures. You hear of it on the news daily, just surprised he didn't find others.

We did see some homeless people or other urban explorers in some of these buildings, but never had an issue. I did get a trespassing ticket last year in the train station though... LAME! We must have ran into about 30 other people inside the train station who were all there just taking pictures and exploring. They were all normal people exploring harmlessly.
Well, technically if the homeless lived there, they wouldnt be homeless would they. However... Watching this from abroad and many other movies like it... I can only agree with you. Its amazing that this is USA. There is wealth in USA but concentrated on 1% of your people that owns 95% of your country. I know your media is full of Euro, Greek, Italian and now Spanish economic failures. But none of them struggle with widespread poverty, abandonment and large scale poverty.

Detroit started dying long ago-mostly due to blacks and middle eastern immigrants. My Aunt lived there from the 1940's on. She finally had to move as it had been taken over and was no longer safe for an elderly woman living alone. Sorry, it's the truth.

@speedy97rs There has been recent videos surfacing of white suburbans bringing their trash and dumping it in Detroit. Look at some of these vids, you will notice items like boats. No poor person in those areas have boats. There has also been evidence of white suburbans paying people to burn down the homes they've abandoned.

Detroit started dying long ago-mostly due to blacks and middle eastern immigrants. My Aunt lived there from the 1940's on. She finally had to move as it had been taken over and was no longer safe for an elderly woman living alone. Sorry, it's the truth.

The middle easterners arn't poor for starters, they operate many small business's that allow them to live primarily in the suburbs like Dearborn and Sterling Heights. With money, you can reside in nice areas of Detroit such as Boston Edison district, Palmer Woods, Sherwood Forest, East English Village, and North Rosedale Park. Do your research! If your poor in a big city it does not feel 100% safe where u live. Point blank!

That destroyed strip of buildings beginning at 6:09 in on Rosa Parks near McGraw. One block away from there is a cul-de-sac called Hecla St. Check out the area where Hecla St. ends on Google Streetview. You'll get to see an amusing slice of life on a quiet Cul-de-sac in Detoit.

Research how many African countries have English as the national language. Note that all of those "English" speaking countries have been invaded by Europeans. Ivory Coast, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, etc. Without Europeans they would have been fine. Also, note that everywhere Europeans go they try to create whitelife

@drkchocolatguy Actually Africa owes what little infrastructure and rail network it has to the Europeans. Most European colonial empires in Africa didn't even pay for themselves. France in particular got less money from Africa then it put into it. It also got involved in Africa in the first place to stop the Barbary pirates from enslaving any more Europeans. Europeans also ended the Arab enslavements of Negroes. Saudi Arabia for example only ended slavery in 1962.

@breezeman199 Thats the problem! Africans did not ask for that infrastructure. Europeans have a way of imposing what "they" believe is normal, right and fair on others. One thing you cannot say is that blacks sailed around or on foot went around bothering anyone other than other blacks. The disaster we see today is a result of Europe's involvement in that country and from it awful leaders such as President Mugabe. Hand picked by Europe. South Africa was not free until 91 btw. @drkchocolatguy I agree that Europe should have left sub-Saharan Africa alone. That would have been better for BOTH parties in my opinion, in the long run. Northern Africa, which has had ties with southern Europe for millenias (for example the Moors who conquered Spain and Portugal for 700 years) is another story altogether.

I firmly believe if Africa was plundered pilfered it may have been slow to rise, but like China it would have risen on it's own. America believes in peace in the middle east, but it aint gonna happen. The only difference I see between middle easterners and Africans with respect to Europeans is middle easterners have lots of guns and weaponry to defend themselves in this day. Africans in the 1600's did not. Europeans have created a more hostile African/Black. It's sad. Poor, angry, and displaced.

@drkchocolatguy Actually 'middle easterners' threatened Europe in the 1600's. Vienna was besieged by the Ottomans as late as 1683. It is true that sub-Saharan Africa was technologically backward, especially in metalurgical knowledge. Tribal animosities have existed there since long before Europeans arrived, although they probably exacerbated the problem.

South Africa was said to be 20 years behind "the west" during its "oppression", now it isn´t far from how Zimbabwe at the turn of the century, with black population falling instead of increasing.
