  • Those cinder blocks were not kidding.

  • I've been training tkd since I was 9 , and I'm brown belt now and I've never seen anybody succsesfully do slow mo turning long until now , Taekwondo is truly amazing

  • @bluefire5291 there is no brown belt in Taekwon-Do

  • @Liquidcadmus in fact, there is - after which are 2 red stripes leading to the red belt

  • @jediexluke sorry, I don't mean to argue. but I have trained in ITF Taekwon-Do for 17 years in many countries. my teacher is in the international commite for ITF and there has never been any brown belt in Taekwond-Do. but you can research this in Wikipedia if you don't agree with me. the ITF official websites.Maybe your teacher does not follow the standard grading system.

but maybe you mean the olympic style, maybe in WTF there's a brown belt..that I don't know.

  • @Liquidcadmus i never knew that! i'll definitely take a look. perhaps the systems are different - i know for a fact that we were associated with the WTF and not the ITF - will get back to you with some verification.

hey, debate is healthy for the brain! thanks for pointing this out, btw

  • @bluefire5291 brown belt?

  • why cant korea unite?

  • muito bom parabens

  • taekwondo is one of the longest surviving martial arts... the technique and the hard work ethic involved with it is amazing. in taekwondo u learn 2 use ur feet like hands.

  • @joelvis65

Tae kwon do is no more than a hundred years old, it's pretty recent. But it is remarkable and can hold its own to older styles and I for one love it.

(it has borrowed much from ancient styles, so it's not all new school)

  • @Lailahaillillah it says so on wikipedia;-).....but ur rite..it has been derived a lot from karate it can hold its own against other arts...:-) but i would say shaolin kung fu is the most dominant martial art, because it involves both hands and feet in combat and its just cool:-)

  • i am itf

  • stupid moves

  • @Inspector221148 wtf if u think there stupid come fight my teacher

  • I do not see in Olympic that North Korean do successful like its BRother South Korean rich, capitalism not communist.

    - South Korea please learn lesson of south Vietnam (fall 1975) and do not let the North take over the whole country. 2-3 generations of Vietnamese are living in the dark of iron curtain...Communist suck and only 4 stupid countries still on the heads of their people and make their country like Hell on earth!

  • Is that so much different between Tae-Kwon-Do in North and South Korean?

  • I was there! The people who performed before them was my Tae Kwon Do class. :D

  • They have a NORTH KOREAN flag on their UNIFORMS

  • pa su mecha esos casi son ninjas

  • OMFG

  • Taekwondo is the hobgoblin of them use it.

  • Jenstefas, all those boards are thin like a pc of paper.

  • i like this video!! can i get other videos like this???????

  • I think they did a great job! Perfect! I wish they would come to my city in Canada.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=_ugw_Cinwjs

  • whats with the jay z trend they got going on there 0:45 thats some illuminati shit

  • I believe this is closer to karate than tkd

  • this will be usefull for " man VS tortoise "

  • IS TKD WTF?

  • Comment removed

  • Magnifico video... consiglio anche tkd-spirit com.

  • very slow lousy routine

  • i dont think they're north koreans lol because they have "tae-kwondo" in their back in english

  • really great

  • excelente demostración de movimientos fundamentales

    Marcelo Sanchez 3 Dan ITF

  • in the begining, the should have marched in together in perfect sync, just like real n. korean soldiers! go north korea!

  • North Korean?

  • Yeah right ! Its the Student ! Not so Bozo. If you are enrolled in 1st grade do you have as much knowledge as someone in 8th grade? Thats the proper comparison between TKD and most other styles, idiot !

  • there`s no hell to them and who don`t know God

  • DAYUMMM!!!!!!!

  • theeee best ever

  • Comparing with South Koreans or AFT. They don't look better as far as the show values. But anyone who practiced martial art before can easily tell they are much better than they appear to be.

  • hurting is dangerous thats why they show it to where It don't

  • about time I figured out how not to fall when I kick

  • 30% more power? how did u come up with that?

  • Is it just me, or are TKD forms really annoying to watch. Just bouncing up and down and shit.

  • Just you.

  • not all the forms are like that

  • i see i see

  • Yes they are, it's ITF teakwondo, the bouncing up and down is sine wave. All ITF patterns have sine wave.

  • m so hurt seeing this team...they have no balance...kicks are very ok...too bad

  • That explains why they land on their feet everytime huh? You're an idiot and should refrain from commenting.

  • Well I take taekwondo myself im a brown belt right now and taekwondo is not just about fightiong skills. It teaches mainly respect, self confidence, concentration, and self defense. The form of fighting they are doing is called promise sparring. meaning they dont ment to actually hurt their partner it is just for show

  • VampireKiss02, I was a ranking Tae Kwon Do practiotioner. I switched to Traditional Jiu Jitsu (No the Brazilian or the Hapkido Korean, I wannbe, too, variety). Huge difference. Find a classical Jiu Jitsu school. Go have a look. (Skip the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). I believe you will come away with a new perspective.

  • In real TKD there is no brown belt. Sorry ....

  • That is true - Brown belt is from Karate

  • why do they show of like this? this doesnt even show real fighting skill, tkd could have had a better rep if people didnt do stuff like this -.-

  • tkd isn't all about fighting. sports like boxing are

  • 'Cause that stuff is hard to do. Also, those people do have real fighting skill; it takes real skill to do what they've done. Most people would understand that. People who can do that stuff do have fighting skill, both for the ring and self defense. Tkd is similar to other martial arts in that respect, people who have high levels of skill tend to be great fighters.

  • the brick she couldnt break was to low

  • Incredible, i wanna be one of them, please i need to go to Korea!!!!!!!, got me there

  • if you are us-american i would not go to north korea : )) - i would give you 5 minutes - chuck norris maybe 6,5.

  • yeah. 6.5 min to exterminate all of north korea: sounds about right.

But seriously, this skill level is incredible.

  • in north korean schools the childs have to say "we hate usa" every day for some minutes - the most usa hating nation in the world - u should know that.

  • @TalmaPai Yeah well they have a point.

  • muito,, muito bom,, eu admiro este estilo de luta/esporte, parabens pelo video.

  • here the team is not ni his best shape ! yeah...

  • taekwondo's a sport go to fucking japan and find a personal trainer

  • they look so thin, hope you fed the hell out of them while they were here

  • @SuperKixxx Thats because your from the US. Every second person their is the size of a fucking elephant. These North Koreans are actually at a healthy build.

  • was ITF originally founded in North Korea?

  • In South Korea.. But there are very very few ITF TKD'ists in South Korea

  • Yeah it was!

  • Yes, by General Choi Hong Hi

  • @rexsonyful No, TKD was unified as one martial art (and named) by general Choi of South Korea. However, there was a split between those who wanted to develop TKD with the aim of making it an olympic sport, in order to promote the new country of S. Korea, and those who wanted it to remain none political. This lead to a split in the KTA, forming the WTF, who were state sponsered and now practice their version of TKD in the olympics, and the ITF who maintained a more tranditional version of TKD

  • Gen Choi moved the administation of the ITF to Canada but in recent years they have become affiliated with the North Koeans who wanted their own version of TKD. This is the TKD you see above. Sport TKD and traditional TKD are now really two separate martial arts.

  • wtf

  • no itf, hee, hee, i just love social media.

  • very very nice

(4:00 though he breaks the boards with the shin....)

  • i think muay thai is bullshit. there are almost no rulez... but jiu jitsu is a real cool sport

  • mauy thai has alot of rules no eye poke no groin shots no hair pulling no hitting the back of the head and striking on the ground your an idiot

  • u can call me an idiot or whatever. but I thin an idiot shouldn't call some1elese an idiot. I wrot 'ALMOST no rulez'. n thos rulez u've writtn r common rulez, they r 4bidde in almost all martial arts.

  • no sir, in MMA you can strike a person while they are on the ground. Fishooks use to be legal, in Muay Thai you have to wear gloves. In MMA at least for a while you didn't have to.

You said almost no rules, I can quote several, ex Bowing to all four corners of the ring before the fight starts. Performing the Ram Muay, before fighting etc. Those are several rules, why 'ALMOST' no rules. Not true, they have many rules, they just fight hard. Not their fault their tough.

  • @oderus55

And that is legal in TKD? Oo

  • muay thai does have rules, no striking the back, no striking the fallen opponent, no biting, no scratching, no choking, no eye gouging, etc. Those are rules.

  • some day you will understand, it's not the style but the student who defines the content. Effectiveness is the measure of truth.

    peace

  • yes its not the style but rather ones abilty to use it accordinly

  • itf es un arte marcia .wtf es solo un deporte!

  • their timing and sync is utterly perfect!

  • They'd probaly be executed if it wasn't..

  • lucky it's not americas doing the act then because their lack of talent would mean the entire team would be executed

  • ahahaha funny :)

  • hahaha, so true :P

  • I was at this performance. They did not fake anything. At 3:00, the girl attempting the concrete...she broke her arm on the first attempt. She broke the concrete on the second attempt, and continued the rest of the show. At the end, you can see her clapping "carefully" with that right arm. She was in a lot of pain. She's TOUGH!!

  • sencillamente impresionante (y)

  • go to 3:29 the first wooden thing was already broken...

    what a losers.

  • if youj go to 3:32 it's already broken they just pretend..

  • south korean team is much better

  • is it just me but when their doing the breaking i se the board come apart before he kicks it some1 tell me if im seeing things its at about 3:25 the jumping snap kick

  • They are holding two boards, not one. He tries to break both of them. The angle is deceiving

  • Rad!

  • lol they do DanGun a 8th cup pattern at the start

  • cool!! iv seen my master do some of those too

  • these guys are insanly good

  • that was cool

  • these dam brutal north koreans

  • north korean tae kwon do`s BOXING is powerful

  • sign wave or what ever you call it, is flawed and useless. my proof, watch the breaks and other videos with breaks and watch how they do them. do the people jump up and down, no they use their hips and shoulders to get the power they need and thus, completely contradicting their belief in sign wave.

  • what ever..u jst say that cuz u mad u cant do it

  • I agree, Im a 5th Dan in the ITF and I personaly did not like the change to the"wave". I do not teach it or practice it at my dojang, worthless, no power or kime. I will stick to the older patterns of the ITF and win my fights.

  • Just because you dont like it doesnt mean it does not generate power. Coupled with hip snap, the power is increased to about 30%. Why dont ya make a thesis on that first.

  • When I break, if I'm breaking with my hands, I raise up to get power. when I'm kicking, I incorporate principles of sine wave and theory of power, get body weight in blow, have fast acceleration at the end of the blow, put body mass in strike, controlled breathing etc.

Same when sparring, I fight in a controlled manner, but I try to coordinate properly. the ideas in sine wave are similar to boxing. Try to use your whole body in the strike, by moving your center of mass with the blow

  • awesome team

  • 7:35

  • AMAZING

  • i think the 6:47 one is the best... just wow

looks alot more realistic cuz they get "hit" too.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG that was amazing as hell the best demostration of taekwondo ever when i become a black belt i want freaking to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • u gotta work hard

im a first degree black belt and i cant do that, it'll take me years to pull those stunts off, which im trying to do, i jsut need to be more flexible

  • These guys and girls are incredible. Great forms.

  • I love the North Koreans! They are the best, best technique ull ever see and learn from

  • Whats The Name of The song ? please some1 Replay , Thanks :)

  • It sounds like the main theme of Death Note (a japanese anime and manga series)

  • it was soooo kl BUT!!! alll loot at 3:30 the wood

  • these guys are some of the most legit TKD practitioners left.

  • There are two boards! Two guys holding one board each. They moved the boards, making it look like (from that point of view) that it was one board that broke before he kicked....

  • yepp

just look at it jeez its easy to tell there are two boards =.=

  • o forgot to say...if u look after he kicks you can see the two dudes each holdin two pieces of wood so obviously he broke two boards :D

  • the boards broke before he even kicked them at

    3:30 ????Thats no cool

  • credibility is gone!

  • sry, there ARE two boards held by two people... jenstefas is right...

  • watch again - each guy was holding a board - there were 2 boards prior to the break.

  • south korea WTF

    North korea ITF

is that right or am i wrong???

  • kind of right, philosophy should been korea = taekwon-do but the South Koreans didn't want Gen. Choi teaching Tkd to the North koreans.

So he left South Korea and took the ITF with him,

the South Koreans formed the WTF as a counterpoint to ITF in 1973. Gen Choi brought ITF to North Korea later, I don't remember when. North Korea dominated ITF competition for years. They have state sponsored athletes, like the USSR, that's why they are so good. ITF split into 3 main groups after Gen Choi died

  • good

  • i just lost faith in these guys... at 1:20 the board breaks before he even kicks it :(

still pretty skillful though but not quite as cool

  • We have had this debate before. I am sure that there are two boards there held by two people. The angle make it look like two men holding one board that is already broke.

  • There aren't any borads involved at 1:20 is there?

  • where is this at???

  • Paramount theater, Cedar Rapids, IA. Although they went to several places while in the United States.

  • lmao.

It says it at the beginning.

  • i have a tae kwon do video on youtube if u wanna check it out.

  • ha xenosaga at the beginning

  • Good dance routine and circus act. Hey they could come in third on Dancing with the stars ! ISSHINSENSE ON YOUTUBE

  • the end is mostly sparing

  • keine Kraftanspannung, Technik nur sinnlos aneinander gereiht - lächerlich !

  • me encantan las artes marciales y esta exhivicion es buenisima.

alguien me podria decir que grupo compone la musica del video

  • What's the difference between I.T.F patterns

    and W.T.F poomsaes?

  • they simply have diffrent moves thats all .but the core fighting style is still the same.

  • itf tuls use sine wave movement, the up and down bouncy movements. WTF tuls, practitioners have no sine wave. The techniques are different as well. In ITF the patterns are core to the art, in WTF they are an afterthought. In ITF the patterns are considered to be at least as important as sparring for self defense training. WTF practitioners see their poomsae as having very little practical value. They think they are a solo dance

  • stop at 3:30

  • ND THAN?

  • i dont c anything

  • just to lets who ever is reading this they are doing the forms

  • well the beginning is

  • Isn't this Korean Tigers?

  • nope that's south korea

  • dude, thats north kroea, you can tell by the flag on their uniforms

  • @caribbeanpriceclub

flag on the uniform = North Korea

    you = dumb

  • AWSOME just cool the begining was kinda crummy but the rest of it was COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!♀♀♀♀♀♀♀♀

  • How come NorthKorea with such good TKD has not been on the sopt so far?

  • huh?

  • Hi I'm learning ITF, and I've seen the performanace of DPRK Team in 2000, when Asian Championship was held at Tokyo. As regard this video, I'm not sure whether they used pre-separated boards or not. But I think their skill is real...Who else can do the same as they did? By the way, could anyone please let me know the title of BGM at introduction(0:00-2:11)?

  • Theme for the Common Man

  • Can I Have The Song Name , Please ?

  • Once again, let me point out, that they are TWO SEPARATE BOARDS. From the angle you cannot see the area in between. Trust me, they are TWO BOARDS

  • Yes, there are two boards. But look again and again until you will see why.

  • I know why.

  • if you knew what you were talking about you would see that yes there are two boards but he tries to hit both with separate kicks. i am a 3rd dan black belt in tkd, and these guys do not fake it

  • its a demonstration so the self defense is obviously dramatised.but all the breaking is real as hell.

  • Jock I haven't mentioned breaking yet, but in tkd its just as phony as the rest. A 6 month old could break a quarter in piece of pine. If you want to say its real, match what I did in 1970. Sixteen pieces of inch pine NO SPACERS ! AT ONCE ! Marist high on stage.I dont care if they break 10, 6 inch pieces of ice, once you add spacers, its a joke !

  • Actually spacers just require a different form of power to non-spacer breaking. Non-spacer breaking needs a lot of power on impact but only at the point you connect with the board, breaking with spacers requires you to produce less force but maintain it over a distance. Air breaks (where 1 board is held loosely) are different again in that less mass is needed but a lot more speed or else you'll just kick the board away without breaking. Its just mechanics really...

  • holy shit, if girls learned these moves they would kick guys asses at around 5:55- 6:47

  • If North Korea wanted to, they could use these guys to conquer the world.

  • umm no, the rest of the world has guns

  • 3:27. first wood, it was already seperated
