@peterson3331 unfortunately, this is one cancer for which there is as yet no cure. Treatments are advancing all the time but as yet all they can do is buy you time. This used to be a disease of the elderly but now younger people are being diagnosed with it. My mother was diagnosed with it, treatments bought her 6 years but doctors tell you right from the start there is no cure and life expectancy is 3-5 years. It is a horrible disease.
@3ArjunRampal it's incurable but treatable - that's why the confusion - there is no cure to date but the prognosis is very good if she gets the right treatment and if her bone marrow transplant takes - haven't followed her cancer so don't know how she's doing today...

my mom is going thru 2nd transplant starting april 2nd @ MD ANDERSON in Houston TX...the 1st time( 10 years ago) was from her own cells saved... but this round will be by means of umbilical cord blood cell infusion and cell from her brother who was a match...GOD BLESS ..fyi we are doing a video journal as well
