The first time i heard it, it wasn't quite as beautiful as this one. But this one....i feel more emotion from it. More people are in it. It sends chills up my spine to hear them shout, and her voice is more beautiful than any rose, her face shows more emotion than any painting,

No vulgar comments here, just use replay in moderation. Like a fine wine, savor the flavor, or perhaps better said, savor her voice, and give it time to age in your mind. it will be all the better when you hear it later.

her voice is the cut n edge and slicest voice I ever heard for Carmen Habanera. And I would say she is the best for Habanera I have heard so far.

I don't want to lower the highbrow tone of these comments too much, but I couldn't help but admire Ms. Baltsa's other,non-vocal, assets. You know the place where the rose was placed. Then I realized that I am one of the few males who visit and comment on opera who has an appreciation of female eroticism in more than an abstract way. I'm also convinced that her assets, back in the 80's, were not surgically enhanced.

Baltsa is excellent. She is a mezzo (first choice for the part, actually) with very good low notes but a bulging feminity in her voice. More seductive? O come on, let's not play stereotypes. Carmen is seductive, but apart from her Gypsy heritage and her beauty she is an ordinary factory worker. This is also shown by the costume. She wears more colorful clothes than her co-workers, but nothing extra-ordinary. The dress is low cut, but still something you can wear to work in a tobacco factory.
