What a lovely, balanced, elegant stallion! Just so beautifully put together and well-proportioned. An incredible mover, too - powerful, forward, purposeful. He literally and floats, hardly touching the ground. Solid, with masculine presence, nothing wishy-washy about him - knows that he is "all that", but also looks like a sweet character. Everything just comes together perfectly in him. What a magnificent representative of the Egyptian Arab! He deserves his honours. Many congrats!
wow he's beautiful!Great video, and great music, too.He looks like a real horse, too, not too over the top, just right, in my humble opinion. Thanks for showing him.
Oh he is sooo gorgeous :) What is his temperament like?
I love greys :) I have a grey Arabian mare myself! Except she isn't purebred, sadly she has some quarter horse in her, but everything else in her is -definitely- Arabian!
Al Lahab is one of those rare horses that evokes strong emotions when you see him. Very few people ever forget how a horse like that made them feel when they first saw him. He is incredible, words and pics just don't do him justice. Thank you for your kind words.
My first question is "who is they?" "They" don't find arabs, "they" breed them. Then they raise them, and show them and keep making more. And this particular stallion was bred in Germany, so he wasn't exactly "found" he was born. I'd be happy to give you more info where you can "find" one of your own. =)
@bacara33 Please don't mind if I correct you, but Al Lahab was born in Israel, not in Germany, although he was raised there. Anyway thanks a lot for posting this vid. Indeed he is a flame, a diamond of his breed. I've been so lucky to see him several times in show, and everytime again it gave me goosebumps.
Thank you for your kind words. Al Lahab is amazing, isn't he? He was World Champion in 2006, and went on to win about every title in Europe. You have great taste in horses. =)
No need to apologize. I've loved Arabian horses all my life and have a 13 year old mare now. I have to board her, but she is without doubt the most popular horse there. I named her Jamila al Sahra when I bought her at four months. Perhaps I will have the opportunity to see Al Lahab some day.
Thank you for the information. I used the word 'shaved' incorrectly, I do know that it is clipped, and I know it doesn't hurt. I come from the old school that likes a more natural look. You do the minimum; I have seen horses with a much larger area clipped. Best wishes for continued success.
My apologies, adoerfler. Didn't mean to give information you were already aware of. And I'm with you, less is more when it comes to the clipping. I prefer the more natural look, as well. I've seen Al Lahab fully show clipped and just natural in his stall... stunning no matter how much hair is left on his face. And, he is sweet as an angel to work with. I have a daughter of his that is the same way. They love their humans. Thank you, again, for posting. =)
The stallion is beautiful all over, but has an exquisite head. I noticed it first in the video that has made so many people insane thinking the horse is abused. (He's not.) I don't care for the practice of shaving around the eyes, but I've seen more extreme examples.
thank you for your kind words. the eyes are not shaved, actually. they are clipped with a #40 clipper blade and then a black gel-like substance is rubbed over the clipped area to make it dark & glossy. ive clipped all 7 of my horses without using anything like sedation or a twitch, etc. to get the job done. it doesn't hurt them in the least. any more than shaving your underarms or legs hurts you. =)

Magnificent horse and I like the music, makes a good change from hearing Celine Dion to these sorts of videos. His face and movement is exquisite.

I agree with adoerfler. I prefer what we call the "nude" look rather than the glossed over effect on a horse's face.
This stallion's head is just about as dished as I have ever seen on an Arab. Wow.
