He talked about killing himself all the time, even in his music. He could have very well taken that amount of heroin, or maybe he wasn't paying attention to how much he had and planned to kill himself while he was high, just like Nikki Sixx. Look it up, read the book idk but either way Kurt was frickin amazing.

I have been listening to this song and pretty much researching it, and from what Nirvana themselves have explained it to be and other people, I do kinda get. It's about apathy and the laziness of teenagers back then, but also the drummer said in a statement a long time ago that it doesn' t really have any meaning, because he saw kurt write the lyrics in 5 mins, so he doesn't think its really about anything. So yea i kind of get the meaning.....sort of? kinda? a little? GREAT SONG, none the less.

If u look at each line u can relate it to a teenager.

"Here we are now entrtain us", they all want to be entertained or theyll loose intersest.

"I find it hard, hard to find oh well, whatever nevermind", this is typically nirvana: they don't give a damn about anything; just look at one of their interviews and you'll see what I mean.
