Did she really call the empire ugly? I think she should try looking in the mirror, because she's no angel either. Serena should really be taken out of the sport. She's washed up and immature.
Serena may be one of the greatest female players!! No doubt about that! But her attitude and manner is SO UGLY and BAD! Really don't like her beacuse of that! This is not the first time she causes dramah on a tennis court!
@brandonisskilled You can't at like a ghetto hood rat, and yell out during a point in tennis. It is unsportsmanlike, and unfair. The white Goddess Eva (chair umpire) made the right call. Serena is a dirty classless POS, she threatens to kill people, shows no sportsmanship, takes steroids to look like a man. The best thing that could happen is if she was banned from tennis, she is the opposite of what makes the sport great. I am not racist either, low-class isn't race specific.
Fucking roid raging animal. She is the worse thing to happen to tennis. She has enough testosterone running through her man body that she should be forced to play in the men's division (I bet her clit is bigger than most dudes penises). She should be banned for yelling at the beautiful white Goddess Eva (she is stunning). I am not just being racist, Venus doesn't bother me.
This is the umpire that made a bad call against Serena and Venus in a doubles match at the Australian Open a few years ago. Then it was Venus laying into her! Go Serena!
@delenarocks101 Serena Williams screams before the point was over. That's a distraction to the opponent, and according to the rules, it's not allowed. Even IF Stosur was unable to return the ball, you're not allowed to scream before the point is over.
The umpire made a good call. Serena is a bitch for telling the umpire what to do.
@JNanu34 Now now, be careful! I tried to use it as an absurd extension! It's not that far from yelling at someone to start hitting them in human behavior, primitive as we still are! But that is not how reductio ad absurdum is used. We are both wrong in understanding it! I understand it now. Look up examples of its use in Wickipedia. But this is off the point. You think that S. Williams, arguably the best woman player today, would stoop to intentionally hindering an opponents play! That's absurd!
@JNanu34 WHAT? SPORTSMANSHIP HAS NO PLACE IN SPORTS, IN OUR WORLD? LACK OF MORALITY is Okay!? Talking to U is talking to a brick wall! SHAME on you & all you stand for! In a famous psychology experiment, it was determined that a Nazi style concentration camp could be easily staffed with average midwestern Americans! Why? Because they were told they weren't responsible for killing people! They were just following the rules! They had no ability to think for themselves, no morality - JUST LIKE YOU!
@JNanu34 Your examples above show me that you think sportsmanship has no place in professional sports! Shame on you! It's a sad commentary on what has become of our society. Winning (money) is god! I recall several instances when Sampras and McEnroe actually overruled an official's call in their favor, saying it was good, against themselves! Obviously that is gone now, supported by people like you, with no moral base with which to tell right from wrong! You shouldn't teach nor be an official!
Now I'll say it! You're an unthinking follower! You don't comprehend the simplest of concepts; eg morality! You avoid answering the most pertinent questions. You're a prime example of today's teachers who don't know enough to teach, and why our educational system has slipped from number 1 in the world in the 1950's and 60's to under 50th in the world today! You're beyond learning! Nothing can save you but reincarnation to try again! Good luck! I pity your students & all under your influence!
@JNanu34 Gold badges and degrees mean nothing when evaluating an individual's actual competence and intelligence, in my experience! I HAD A PROFESSOR IN GRADUATE SCHOOL WITH A PHD FROM HARVARD, whose ability to think was almost non-existant; and he constantly stated things as unrefutable truth that were out of his field of expertise, and in mine, that I could easily refute with many bibliographical references! We have Presidents and Congressman who don't understand our Constitution! Sad! Sad!
@JNanu34 Do you have a degree in "Education?" What do you teach? Frankly, I'm very surprised that you minored in philosophy. Somewhere your ability to define "intentional" as exactly the opposite of what it means suggests a lack of ability to think logically! Nowhere in the rules does it give such a definition of intent! Where in the rules does it give an official the right to redefine the English language? Nowhere! Re: stosur's opportunity to return the ball: She swung and barely touched it!
@JNanu34 Saying - "One's voice can be controlled," is incorrect because it's not always true. see below. It's obviously a gray area in the rules and in officials' understanding of paragraph 26! It's incredible to me that you redefined the meaning of a very understandable word, saying "Intentional doesn't mean "I'm trying to distract you on purpose so I'm going to shout." That's exactly what it means! Nowhere in the rules does it give your absurd 180 degree opposite definition! English!
@JNanu34 One's voice cannot always be controlled, particularly in the heat of passion and/or excitement! There are many examples of this. The meaning of intent is clear. This is why an official must be able to discern the truth of what occurred in order to make a proper fair decision! It's obvious to me that this umpire and yourself, are incapable of the perception and independent thought required to do this! Somewhere along the way, maybe in tennis officials school, common sense got lost!
@JNanu34 Your explanation of "Intentional" above, makes no sense! Something is wrong with the thought process that taught you this technical explanation of a simple word! This is at the heart of our disagreement! You think Serena purposely tried to hinder Stosur's shot! It's obvious that she didn't! The point should be replayed according to the rule. A simple clear reading of it leads logically to this conclusion! Therefor Serena was penalized unfairly! It's the right call, but wrong penalty!
@JNanu34 Just because one may become accustomed to something, it doesn't mean they aren't constantly annoyed by it! Different people have different levels of tolerance. If I were playing Sharapova, her constant actual screams, very different than a grunt, would definitely be an annoyance to me, that I'd have to struggle to put in the background and ignore.
@JNanu34 My qualification is that I'm a highly educated very intelligent person who understood the rules before you posted them! You are not supposed to interpret rules! You are supposed to UNDERSTAND them; then apply them properly! Understanding is prerequisite to proper application. They are not open to "interpretation!" And if that is not what you meant to say, it is direct evidence of your lack of understanding of English! paragraph 26 is clear. See next...
@JNanu34 According to the rule, "an unintentional act of the opponent" is penalized by replaying the point! Do you really believe Serena Williams purposely intended to hinder Stosur from returning the ball, that she obviously believed to be a winner, when she excitedly screamed "Come On!" as encouragement to herself, after playing so poorly and struggling in the match? Her words to the umpire, that she "can't express herself in America" show her state of mind. Please watch the video again!
Actually it is a valid form of argument, BUT TO DISPROVE A PROPOSITION! From WICKEPEDIA: Reductio ad absurdum (Latin: "reduction to the absurd") is a form of argument in which a proposition is disproven by following its implications logically to an absurd consequence.[1] I WAS WRONG in it's use. I used an invalid absurd example. It's been 50 years, heh heh! But I'm not wrong in my opinion regarding the requirement that one must understand a rule to properly apply it! Plz see my answer below.
@jcbluze You will agree: One can't apply a rule one doesn't understand! Decision making entails logical thought! It's sad that a tennis official can't discern between purposefully trying to negatively effect an opponents shot vs uttering a spontaneous shout of encouragement to oneself! Yelling "Come on" is obviously not directed at her opponent, but as self-encouragement! If you can't see that, you have a problem! Please re-read the rule! What's your understanding of the word, "purposeful?"
@jcbluze Purpose requires intent. Do you really believe that Serena intended to obstruct Stosur's ability to return the ball? Because I don't see that as a part of Serena's being, and her shout of self encouragement, while ill timed, was certainly not purposeful obstruction. Therefor the proper penalty was to replay the point! An official must have the perception with which to distinguish between purposeful intent, and lack of it! Without that ability, an official cannot properly apply Pp 26!
@JNanu34 Okay, I see that you don't understand! If I consistently hit you over the head with a bat just before your shot, even if you get used to it, it's still obstruction! In case you don't know what logical argument is, and you don't, this form of argument is called "Reductio ad absurdum!" That's Latin for "reducing the argument to an absurd example," that makes the point obvious! It's a valid form of argument! Go to college; take a course in logic, because your arguments are not logical.
@JNanu34 You're the one who's off track! You have a problem understanding what this one case is about! It's about what obstruction is, & what the right interpretation of the rule is! That Schiavone makes consistent loud grunts long after her serve, & just before her opponent hits the ball, is absolutely relevant, on track, & pertinent to this case! Because if she is allowed to do it, so should everyone else, not only on their serve, but also on ground shots! Rules must be consistently applied!
@JNanu34 Sorry, you don't understand the rule, or possibly English!! When the word "deliberate" is used, the judge must decide if the obstruction was deliberately done to prevent the opponent from playing effectively! Serena didn't do that! The rule clearly states that if it isn't deliberate then the point should be replayed! What's your problem? Comprehension of the rule! It's also the judge's problem, which is why she shouldn't be a judge!
i don't care what anyone says i will be so greatful when this embarrassing UNGREATFUL CUNT retires! she is so fake and fool of herself and unlike a good bottle of wine she's more like sour milk with age she just gets more ugly and nasty!
@househeadericmd@househeadericmd You talk about rules that you don't understand. Obstruction must be deliberate to lose a point. If the judge thinks it wasn't deliberate, the point is replayed, not given to the opponent! If you had half a brain you still couldn't understand the rules & how they are supposed to be applied! Do you even know how to read to comprehend? Did you ever take an SAT test? Did you score over 400? duhgublubdubbdlegub........gee, your brain is trying to work....gobblygook
@JNanu34 great! Then you'll agree that since her excited shout, "Come on!" to herself upon seeing that her shot wasn't returnable, wasn't deliberate; & the point should have been replayed! It's obvious that Stosur wasn't hindered by the shout! And what about Stosur's sportsmanship! Knowing she wasn't hindered, & couldn't return the shot, she should have told that to the umpire! That's sportsmanship! It's the same as the doubles guy who was hit by the ball & didn't say so, to get the point!
@jcbluze Stosur is now the only Grand Slam "winner" who only won 11 games! She'll have to live with that, if she's smart enough to realize it! I'm not so sure! This match will go down in history as a blemish on the sport, not because of Serena; but because of a bad umpire who was ridiculously harsh in her penalization of Williams! She hurt not only Williams, but Stosur as well! Stosur was prevented from really earning the title! And her lack of becoming involved is something she'll regret!
@JNanu34 FRANCESCA SCHIAVONE GRUNTS SO LATE AFTER HER SERVE, IT IS REAL OBSTRUCTION, NEVER CALLED! Besides, she's really a man! They never call that either! :) They let Renee Richards actually a man who had a sex change, play in women's tennis! I'm liberal to a degree; but this makes no sense. I think in addition to steroid tests they should do gender tests! Stephane Graph complained against Monica Seles' scream/grunts; the ump made her stop, and she lost the match! Seles was beating her badly!
@rew34 HEH HEH! You are never alone in this world! Now there are two! But I was the first, hah haha! Yeah! Someone should really complain about her; and also about Sharapova!
@JNanu34 Intentional means on purpose; nothing else. Serena got excited. That's all! She did not purposely distract her opponent! The rule says it's up to the judge to decide! Especially in A Grand Slam Final, the judge made the right call; but gave the wrong penalty! injecting herself into the match wrongly, since it meant a lost game instead of deuce! I'd have looked up the rule after the match, and filed an complaint against the judge! I'd argue my case as above. Let's agree to disagree!
@jcbluze - hahaha - I wonder what goes through your mind when you're all ALONE, sitting in the DARK? Peace? Joy? Feel Loved? HAHAHA - by all your AD NAUSEUM responses to all the above - I say NO. I think anxiety, depression, loneliness, and fear. Let me guess - NOT in a relationship - or if so - not full of love, respect, and understanding, eh? Know lots of people, but don't many REAL friends. Oh well, take some happy pills, and make believe your problems don't exist.
@JNanu34 the commentator, Virginia Wade, is Australian, and should not have said the things she said about Serena. She was out of line! I believe she did not speak to the referee but a different official. And they didn't say it was the proper penalty. In any case, If any referee said this was the proper call, then he/she should read the rules again! The rules are obvious and clear! I read them! You should too! Google ITF Tennis rules!
But this particular point wasn't a hindrance:it didn't effect the play! It's a judgment by the umpire! She made wrong judgment! If anyone, especially Serena, knew the rules, the "REFEREE" should have been called to overrule the call! The umpire doesn't know the rule well, She should have been fined, not Serena! When's the last time anyone saw an entire game was taken away in a GRAND SLAM FINAL! Does anyone think the fact that the umpire is Australian played a role? Bias is obvious!
@JNanu34 1. HER SHOUT WASN'T A HINDRANCE. IT WAS AN UNRETURNABLE SHOT! 2. IT WASN'T JUST A POINT. IT WAS A GAME WINNING BREAK OF THE FIRST GAME IN THE SECOND SET! THAT'S AN UNFAIR PENALTY FOR AN UNINTENTENTIONAL "HINDRANCE." 3. IF YOU READ THE RULE, IF THE HINDRANCE WAS UNINTENTIONAL, THEN THE POINT IS REPLAYED, NOT AWARDED TO THE OPPONENT!
@jcbluze no it was ONE point, which just happened to be game point. had it occured at 15-15 for example she wouldn't have lost the game. Serena is doing well recently, she hasn't threatened to kill a lineswoman for a while.
@pythonbyte Haha! She never threatened to kill anyone! She never raised her voice, and was polite! She was rightly pissed at an idiot judge who took away the first game of the set from her on her serve! When is the last time you saw that happen to any tennis player, never mind in a US OPEN final! That judge messed with history! It wasn't right! It's not her job! AND - FRANCESCA SCHIAVONE GRUNTS SO LATE AFTER HER SERVE, IT IS REAL OBSTRUCTION, NEVER CALLED!
@jcbluze she was rightly pissed at an idiot judge??? PLEASE!!!! you must not play tennis - those are the rules! DONE! END OF STORY! and Serena at 30 years old in a GS Final in her home country on 9/11 and she acts like a complete fool and a nasty cunt! rules are rules.... why people keep defending her is just insane. those are the rules. period. fuck serena!
@househeadericmd You talk about rules that you don't understand or bother to read. Obstruction must be deliberate to lose a point. If the judge thinks it wasn't deliberate, then the point is replayed, not given to the opponent! If you had half a brain you still couldn't understand the rules and how they are supposed to be applied! Do you even know how to read to comprehend? Did you ever take an SAT test? Did you score over 400? duhgublubdubbdlegub........gee, your brain is trying to work....
@jcbluze rules ARE rules.... YOU CAN NOT HANDLE RULES THEN GO CRY TO YOUR DOLLY!!! RULES ARE RULES!!! SERENA BROKE THE RULES.... YOU CAN NOT HANDLE IT TOO BAD!!!! haha hahaha ------ FUCKING NIGGERS WHO DO NOT KNOW THE RULES........ FUCK SERNA - SHE IS OUT OF CONTROL!!!! AND BTW I LOVE WHAT SERENA HAS DONE FOR THE SPORT AND AMERICAN TENN IS BUY THAT DAY SHE WAS "OUT OF CONTROL" AND A SPOILED CUNT!! SHE GOT OFF EASY.L
@jemoijemoi1 YOU'RE AN IDIOT! FYI the "inferior" Jews have created more medicines, received more Nobel prizes, made more Academy Award movies, invented more things that you depend on for your life, including the Intel chip in your computer, the polio vaccine, and many other vaccines, than any other single group. And their list is endless! Jews, Japanese, & Chinese are among the smartest people on the planet! You're not! You're a sorry dumbass whose miniscule (that's tiny) brain doesn't work!
@jemoijemoi1 - Well I know you can't be Asian because you can't spell for shit. HAHAHAHA - let me guess - no job OR low paying monkey job - live with mommy and daddy - or just mommy - daddy left because he couldn't stand his lazy, good for nothing, idiot monkey - hahahahahah!!!
The rule says it must be intentional hindrance 2 award the point to the other player! It's obvious that after struggling in the 1st set, Serena just got excited at hitting a winner or unreturnable ball. Screaming "Come on" was just spur of the moment excitement, pumping herself up! The point should not have been taken! It also took away the game, making it a break in the first game of the 2nd set! The REFEREE, the umpire's superior can & should've been called 2 rule over the ump! Fine the ump!
The penalty missed the mark IMO. Simply because I don't see hindrance. Her shout did not affect and could not have affected Stosur's ability to return the shot (because it was the hardest hit shot in the entire match, for starters).
The fine SO fair...LOL. Despite Serena's obvious anger, she didn't scream at her, and she watched her choice of words.
I mean the ultimate penalty (in Serena's mind) was losing the match, anyway....losing this one game and the $2,000 fine meant little.
@QuadThreat85 the fine was rather useless, but I don't agree with your first point. Rules are rules, as petty as they can be. There is no grey area, Serena shouted before Stosur hit the ball, you can't predict what would've happened hadn't she shouted, that's the point of the rule. You can speculate all you want, but the fact that Stosur got there says it all. It wasn't so bad though, her rant was funny rather than outrageous, she kinda composed herself I guess
@ChessboyJohnny uummm yes you can. Look at Serena's shot, and where Stosur was in the court....what happened when Stosur made contact was exactly what was going to happen no matter what. I could se if she hit it that hard right to Stosur and yelled, but she hit in just the right spot to make sure it wasn't coming back, and she knew it wasn't, which was why she yelled come on when she did, which is all why she (and I) didn't think it was intentional hindrance.
@QuadThreat85 I agree 100%! It's pretty sad and depressing that so many, actually the majority, can't see what's so obviously apparent to you and I! My conversation with JNanu34 just came to an abrupt halt on my part, when she actually said that sportsmanship has no place in professional sports! My reply to her is unequivocal!
@ChessboyJohnny but yes it was kind of funny...but about the point in question, it mattered little because she broke back shortly after...this was just a bad day all around for Serena, and Sam (like she should have) took advantage.
@QuadThreat85 Thank you very much for being the only voice of reason here, besides my own! I had no idea that the lack of powers of observation and ability to think clearly were so lacking in the human race! But then, we convict the innocent of murder, and tennis officials are obviously capable of redefining the English language to mean exactly the opposite of what it means! Please read my string with JNanu34, who is a teacher and tennis official! Unbelievable!
How many times could this tennis thug get away with her shameful acts before the justice and dicipline on tennis are completely disappeared? Seriously, you call that a penalty? $200,000 is not even half of what she had earned throughout the year. I bet she was laughing in her head after only being fined with so little. She got away easy considering she never learned from her mistakes. Her apology after the incident was not sincere. She didn't even apologize to the empire whom she insulted.
@juliorichardsable But who the hell is talking about GS?? This video is about behavior not GS, Hantuchova has no GS, we all know that, it is you the "ignorent" one which cannot even spell ignorant right.
It is funny how people come here to "defend" Serena by comparing her career with others' like Hingis and Hantuchova when it is not the issue here, perhaps you guys are the ones that need to grow up! Argue like adults please or do not even comment back.
@LondonNil DELUSIONAL....I sure didn't....but it's ok...Serena will have her revenge...not necessarily in a final, but revenge will be had...time and time again!
I like Serena and her twin sister Venus but she must learn to keep her emotions in check on the court. I'm sure two grand is practically nothing to her right now but if it continues to mount it will be something. Also, she does not need to earn a bad reputation for being short-tempered and classless.
Serena is for sure a better player than Stosur and she normally owned the US Open this year, but she wasn´t anymore totally focused on the match... Her spirit and her emotions had been dispersed by the whole situation. Serena lost the match more that Stosur won it...
I'm a died hard Serena fan, and this is NOTHING. People just blow this up to something, of cause she will get point penalty for shouting in a middle a point. But they way she said/talked to the umpire was nothing and she shouldn't get money penalty for that. Then you might see what John McEnore did in his days or what Roger did in 4Round 2009. Anyway I love Serena
LOOK I AM GOING TO TELL IT LIKE THIS... HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE HEARD TENNIS PLAYERS GRUNT OR SHOUT WHEN HITTING THE BALL BACK & FORTH TO EACH OTHER???? OK SERENA MAY HAVE BEEN A BIT EXCESSIVE IN HER SHOUTING BUT PLAYERS DO IT ALL THE TIME SO I THINK THE PENALTY WAS BULLSHIT... SO THERE YOU HAVE IT...
Asderaki make a mistake here, she most had to put out this tennis player wearing red; she´s very rude and bad educated. The tennis female player no deserve that.

@xlvlrangelx Hingis was so right till her coke addicted ass had to retire and look like the pathetic moron that she is. Too bad serena has almost 3x the GS she had for her to be such a genius...yes Hingis was right afteralll...NOT...LMAO
@twarren20 LOL? "because it does"? Are you retarded or something alike? I read your bs that is exactly why i asked you why does the coke problem has anything to do with Serena's outburst, can't you simply answer the question ?
@twarren20 Wow you are in fact retarded kid. @ means you're replying to the person after the @ and i read my nickname not any other's. I couldn't care less about Hingis nor the pathetic comparison you did about her and Serena, i quoted Hingis and turns out that what she said happens over and over again. How is your "power argumentation" make her statement invalid? Because so far you only showed how simple minded you are... :(
@xlvlrangelx First off faggot, what does the statement "hingis was right after all" mean in relation to Serena? Let's just get to the core of the stupidity that you started. Hingis was a crack whore so how valid is anything that she says? Not valid at all. Serena has been cheated on multiple occasions, so maybe she has a reason to act up. Hingis was a fool herself on court (FO against Graf) and her ass wasn't even being cheated. So you're the retard one dumb ass.
@twarren20 What does it mean? Didn't you get it from the freaking first post i did? Seriously? You're gonna dig you grave a bit more? So let me write it again so you're pathetic little brain understands (i guess not, but hell, i'll give it a try!) Hingis once told in a press conference that "the Williams sisters talk a lot, it happened before so it will happen again, i don't really worry about that". Can you relate this to USO 2009 & USO 2011 finals? No? It is sad :'(
@xlvlrangelx You're stupid as fuck I see. Who gives a flying fuck what a crack whore that was starting to get beaten says? She talked more than anyone...even called Mauresmo a man and Davenport fat so how valid was she and how valid are you. NOT AT ALL. Can you relate 2004 USO serena vs capriati, 2003 FO Serena vs Justine, 2004 Venus vs Sprem to them being cheated? Now give me one memorable time your crack whore was cheated. I would talk a lot too you baboon. You're a complete idiot.
@twarren20 Last time i checked i commented this on a video entitled as "Serena Williams argument with umpire 2011 US OPEN Final but Avoids Ban" so my problems with your rants are:
1º Regardless what Hingis said/is/was it doesn't make her statement less valid;
2º No one is talking about other finals, this is about SERENA'S OUTBURST (read the effin title please.);
3º And not the least, are you from US? Because that would explain a lot :)
@xlvlrangelx Her statement is very invalid...what does an outburst has to do with talking a lot...you're so stupid...OMG. Numbers 1-3 basically solidified a big nothing and shows that you really can't back up what you were trying to say. Last but not least, Serena and Venus are still playing and Hingis is trying her hardest to win WTT and legends matches...LMAO after she was BANNED from tennis for using crack. So it seems to me that the jokes was on her. Bitter apples my fellow lame?
@twarren20 So we got back to the very beginning, you refuse to understand, you keep making comparisons which are not the point here, you keep showing your stupidity over and over again, trashing Hingis like she's one to blame about what Serena did... So i'll just leave you with your hypothetical delusional world :) Have fun!
@xlvlrangelx Ummm...basically we didn't. I refuse to accept stupidity as a valid excuse or explanation. You tried your best to make an argument and failed miserably...next time make sure it makes sense. An "outburst" is a spontaneous reaction caused by a stimulus. Talking a lot is not an outburst. Maybe you will be able to get a good education one day, the same suggestion that serena had for Hingis after her remark years ago, lmao. Have a blessed day yourself. BTW hingis trashed herself.
@twarren20 Yea, like i need to prove anything at all to you rofl. She ran her filthy mouth again and i do not need any facts to backup this statement, everyone can see for themselves on this video & lots of others. Relatively to an education, well maybe i should get some tips from Serena and btw from you too, namely bashing others when i cannot argue nor explain my povs, right? ;)
@xlvlrangelx Don't get angry because your argument was stupid and invalidated. What happened to you mentioning Hingis? A rant from a bitter crackhead who talked shit about other players was the best you could do. I personally wish Serena would have beaten some of the officials who have cheated her and Venus bc like asked you before, NAME ONE OTHER WOMAN THAT HAS BEEN BLATANTLY CHEATED IN TENNIS OVER THE YEARS. You can't, only thing you'll do is say, they're the only ones making a deal of it.
@twarren20 oh dont worry, i dont get angry over internet stuff. I could mention Hingis, Henin, whatever, it really doesnt matter who i mention or not, she is a disgraceful person with a terrible attitude, classless and an hypocrite, she cant assume her mistakes, anyone can tell that by watching her press conferences where she denies everything and claims she doesnt remember and stuff...
She should learn for an instance Hantuchova's attitude in court, always classy.
@xlvlrangelx Classless is cheating another player, pretending to be hurt when losing, or quitting during a grand slam final (justine Henin). Classless is saying another player looks like a man, or that a player is too fat, or smoking crack to win a match...lol (Hingis). Give me one time or instance in which Serena has denied anything in a press conference? LOL. First off, you never gave me an example of another player being cheated. You're an idiot and your argument is a major FAIL. Eat shit.
@xlvlrangelx Wait a minute. I swear, why am I even discussing this matter with you. After look at your responses and your writing, I have come to the conclusion that you are around 12 years old. Am I right? Oh, wow. I'm done...jeez, I've wasted my time thinking that you were an adult...smh. Bye-bye :)
@twarren20 Your rants, comparing players and bringing other issues rather than discuss the one on this video show lack of argumentation and you tell me i'm a 12 y old? lol seems that a 12 y old can bring some facts around then, unlike you :o but ill tell you something in a way you seem to understand:
@xlvlrangelx and your point...what is the connection between that statement and education?? Wow, you are dumb. I think you are a little pissed because you haven't answered not one question or defended any of your delusional and idiotic claims. You are sound "dumb and dumber" every time you write back...LMAO
@xlvlrangelx Can you simply read? It was a response to the person above me dumbass. Can't you simply figure out that if it has the @ symbol and a name that means it was a reply to someone else? So, look at what that person said b4 hand. Don't be stupid all your life. If you don't like what I said about Hingis, tough, and too bad..discussion over idiot and don't reply back to me.
the problem is that tennis allows players to abuse umpires,if you bring in a rule that says ANY abuse toward an official will result in instant disqualification, you watch them shape up,there again, there'd probably be no bastard left.
Serena is a huge disgrace of women tennis. Rude, uneducated and violence-threatening to line judge, she should have been banned for a period from competing in majors after the 2009 violent behavior.
Everybody is complaining about this but let's be honest, tennis would be boring without those people with big character so stop complaining ! This is absolute fun and entertaining, specially for a grand slam final !
Serena fight all the time with the umpires, of course, the umpires are bad of the movie. With that character and attitude, Serena don´t go to far. She´s 31 now, is not a child.
I don't see Steffi Graf winning 22 slams if she played today with the likes of Serena, Venus, Henin, Sharapova, Clistjers, Stosur all in the mix. There is just no way. Graf had an easy time when Seles took time out after the stabbing incident. I just don't think so, the women's field then was really, truly boring. Steffi always won, today Serena is great as she is, fights a lot harder for her silverware then Steffi did. WTA today boring? Seles was sometimes Steffi's only challenger at Slams!
@tremaine861 I do .Steffi Graf is the most dominant tennis player I have ever seen, replacing Martina Navratilova, who places second. Male or female. Now, I do agree that the Seles stabbing was a big deal. They had a great rivalry and it was ruined because of that madman. But Graf retired at age 29, just after winning the French and making the Finals at Wimbledon. She was still the best, even with all the injuries and time off. And she was certainly the best athlete the WTA has seen.
Rule was clear, she messed up but her selfishness made her argue. To carry on like that was childish. She must look back at this and aquirm with embarassment. Punishment needed to be harsher and an apology in public just as she made a problem in public.
@bbh1978 Rule was not clear and NO ONE has even produced this alleged rule. In fact, the same empire played the point over in another one of Serena's matches. Show me the rule and I will believe it. What happened to the apology from the empire who cheated her openly and on multiple occasions in the 2004 Capriati match, or the one who allowed that loser Henin to cheat at the 2003 FO? At the end of the day Serena has 13 GS in COUNTING...GO SERENA GO!
birds of a feather flock together, so do people, thats just the way we evolved , maybe all white people should go back to europe, asians to asia, negroes to africa etc then instead of wanting to kill each other we could kill our own kind and i promise you we would. it happens all over the world every day.alexandria was noted for its racial diversity it died just as surely as america is dieing anyone that doesnt see this is either blind or should remove their head from their ass
the black culture in general is a rude and vulger culture. thats the price america has to pay for bringing them into this country and thinking they would become decent citizens.
@partytime363 OMG America is country made by prisoners and thieves from England, Spain .. U know, of course u are made slaves.. and now thank God you are paying for that! The whole world was laughing when Obama became president, all athletes in US are black! inferior race .. ahahahaha fucking Idiots!

That's absurd!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 WHAT? SPORTSMANSHIP HAS NO PLACE IN SPORTS, IN OUR WORLD? LACK OF MORALITY is Okay!? Talking to U is talking to a brick wall! SHAME on you & all you stand for! In a famous psychology experiment, it was determined that a Nazi style concentration camp could be easily staffed with average midwestern Americans! Why? Because they were told they weren't responsible for killing people! They were just following the rules! They had no ability to think for themselves, no morality - JUST LIKE YOU!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 Your examples above show me that you think sportsmanship has no place in professional sports! Shame on you! It's a sad commentary on what has become of our society. Winning (money) is god! I recall several instances when Sampras and McEnroe actually overruled an official's call in their favor, saying it was good, against themselves! Obviously that is gone now, supported by people like you, with no moral base with which to tell right from wrong! You shouldn't teach nor be an official!
jcbluze 2 months ago

Sad! Sad!

@jcbluze who cares? jeez........
bryancranstoncrand 1 month ago
@JNanu34 Do you have a degree in "Education?" What do you teach? Frankly, I'm very surprised that you minored in philosophy. Somewhere your ability to define "intentional" as exactly the opposite of what it means suggests a lack of ability to think logically! Nowhere in the rules does it give such a definition of intent! Where in the rules does it give an official the right to redefine the English language? Nowhere! Re: stosur's opportunity to return the ball: She swung and barely touched it!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 Saying - "One's voice can be controlled," is incorrect because it's not always true. see below. It's obviously a gray area in the rules and in officials' understanding of paragraph 26! It's incredible to me that you redefined the meaning of a very understandable word, saying "Intentional doesn't mean "I'm trying to distract you on purpose so I'm going to shout." That's exactly what it means! Nowhere in the rules does it give your absurd 180 degree opposite definition! English!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 One's voice cannot always be controlled, particularly in the heat of passion and/or excitement! There are many examples of this. The meaning of intent is clear. This is why an official must be able to discern the truth of what occurred in order to make a proper fair decision! It's obvious to me that this umpire and yourself, are incapable of the perception and independent thought required to do this! Somewhere along the way, maybe in tennis officials school, common sense got lost!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 Your explanation of "Intentional" above, makes no sense! Something is wrong with the thought process that taught you this technical explanation of a simple word! This is at the heart of our disagreement! You think Serena purposely tried to hinder Stosur's shot! It's obvious that she didn't! The point should be replayed according to the rule. A simple clear reading of it leads logically to this conclusion! Therefor Serena was penalized unfairly! It's the right call, but wrong penalty!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 Just because one may become accustomed to something, it doesn't mean they aren't constantly annoyed by it! Different people have different levels of tolerance. If I were playing Sharapova, her constant actual screams, very different than a grunt, would definitely be an annoyance to me, that I'd have to struggle to put in the background and ignore.
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 My qualification is that I'm a highly educated very intelligent person who understood the rules before you posted them! You are not supposed to interpret rules! You are supposed to UNDERSTAND them; then apply them properly! Understanding is prerequisite to proper application. They are not open to "interpretation!" And if that is not what you meant to say, it is direct evidence of your lack of understanding of English! paragraph 26 is clear. See next...

Disgusting black whore she looks here despite all the greatness
semabkhan 2 months ago
@JNanu34 According to the rule, "an unintentional act of the opponent" is penalized by replaying the point! Do you really believe Serena Williams purposely intended to hinder Stosur from returning the ball, that she obviously believed to be a winner, when she excitedly screamed "Come On!" as encouragement to herself, after playing so poorly and struggling in the match? Her words to the umpire, that she "can't express herself in America" show her state of mind. Please watch the video again!
jcbluze 2 months ago
Actually it is a valid form of argument, BUT TO DISPROVE A PROPOSITION! From WICKEPEDIA: Reductio ad absurdum (Latin: "reduction to the absurd") is a form of argument in which a proposition is disproven by following its implications logically to an absurd consequence.[1] I WAS WRONG in it's use. I used an invalid absurd example. It's been 50 years, heh heh! But I'm not wrong in my opinion regarding the requirement that one must understand a rule to properly apply it! Plz see my answer below.
jcbluze 2 months ago
@jcbluze You will agree: One can't apply a rule one doesn't understand! Decision making entails logical thought! It's sad that a tennis official can't discern between purposefully trying to negatively effect an opponents shot vs uttering a spontaneous shout of encouragement to oneself! Yelling "Come on" is obviously not directed at her opponent, but as self-encouragement! If you can't see that, you have a problem! Please re-read the rule! What's your understanding of the word, "purposeful?"
jcbluze 2 months ago

Go to college; take a course in logic, because your arguments are not logical.
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 You're the one who's off track! You have a problem understanding what this one case is about! It's about what obstruction is, & what the right interpretation of the rule is! That Schiavone makes consistent loud grunts long after her serve, & just before her opponent hits the ball, is absolutely relevant, on track, & pertinent to this case! Because if she is allowed to do it, so should everyone else, not only on their serve, but also on ground shots! Rules must be consistently applied!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 Sorry, you don't understand the rule, or possibly English!! When the word "deliberate" is used, the judge must decide if the obstruction was deliberately done to prevent the opponent from playing effectively! Serena didn't do that! The rule clearly states that if it isn't deliberate then the point should be replayed! What's your problem? Comprehension of the rule! It's also the judge's problem, which is why she shouldn't be a judge!

jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 great! Then you'll agree that since her excited shout, "Come on!" to herself upon seeing that her shot wasn't returnable, wasn't deliberate; & the point should have been replayed! It's obvious that Stosur wasn't hindered by the shout! And what about Stosur's sportsmanship! Knowing she wasn't hindered, & couldn't return the shot, she should have told that to the umpire! That's sportsmanship! It's the same as the doubles guy who was hit by the ball & didn't say so, to get the point!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@jcbluze Stosur is now the only Grand Slam "winner" who only won 11 games! She'll have to live with that, if she's smart enough to realize it! I'm not so sure! This match will go down in history as a blemish on the sport, not because of Serena; but because of a bad umpire who was ridiculously harsh in her penalization of Williams! She hurt not only Williams, but Stosur as well! Stosur was prevented from really earning the title! And her lack of becoming involved is something she'll regret!

rew34 2 months ago
@JNanu34 Intentional means on purpose; nothing else. Serena got excited. That's all! She did not purposely distract her opponent! The rule says it's up to the judge to decide! Especially in A Grand Slam Final, the judge made the right call; but gave the wrong penalty! injecting herself into the match wrongly, since it meant a lost game instead of deuce! I'd have looked up the rule after the match, and filed an complaint against the judge! I'd argue my case as above. Let's agree to disagree!

Google ITF Tennis rules!
jcbluze 2 months ago
But this particular point wasn't a hindrance:it didn't effect the play! It's a judgment by the umpire! She made wrong judgment! If anyone, especially Serena, knew the rules, the "REFEREE" should have been called to overrule the call! The umpire doesn't know the rule well, She should have been fined, not Serena! When's the last time anyone saw an entire game was taken away in a GRAND SLAM FINAL! Does anyone think the fact that the umpire is Australian played a role? Bias is obvious!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@JNanu34 1. HER SHOUT WASN'T A HINDRANCE. IT WAS AN UNRETURNABLE SHOT! 2. IT WASN'T JUST A POINT. IT WAS A GAME WINNING BREAK OF THE FIRST GAME IN THE SECOND SET! Fine the ump!
jcbluze 2 months ago
The penalty missed the mark IMO. Simply because I don't see hindrance. Her shout did not affect and could not have affected Stosur's ability to return the shot (because it was the hardest hit shot in the entire match, for starters).
The fine SO fair...LOL. Despite Serena's obvious anger, she didn't scream at her, and she watched her choice of words.
I mean the ultimate penalty (in Serena's mind) was losing the match, anyway....losing this one game and the $2,000 fine meant little.
QuadThreat85 2 months ago
@QuadThreat85 the fine was rather useless, but I don't agree with your first point. Rules are rules, as petty as they can be. There is no grey area, Serena shouted before Stosur hit the ball, you can't predict what would've happened hadn't she shouted, that's the point of the rule. You can speculate all you want, but the fact that Stosur got there says it all. It wasn't so bad though, her rant was funny rather than outrageous, she kinda composed herself I guess
ChessboyJohnny 2 months ago
@ChessboyJohnny uummm yes you can. Look at Serena's shot, and where Stosur was in the court....what happened when Stosur made contact was exactly what was going to happen no matter what. I could se if she hit it that hard right to Stosur and yelled, but she hit in just the right spot to make sure it wasn't coming back, and she knew it wasn't, which was why she yelled come on when she did, which is all why she (and I) didn't think it was intentional hindrance.
QuadThreat85 2 months ago
@QuadThreat85 I agree 100%! It's pretty sad and depressing that so many, actually the majority, can't see what's so obviously apparent to you and I! My conversation with JNanu34 just came to an abrupt halt on my part, when she actually said that sportsmanship has no place in professional sports! My reply to her is unequivocal!
jcbluze 2 months ago
@ChessboyJohnny but yes it was kind of funny...but about the point in question, it mattered little because she broke back shortly after...this was just a bad day all around for Serena, and Sam (like she should have) took advantage.

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT...
ogrebattle22763 4 months ago
Asderaki make a mistake here, she most had to put out this tennis player wearing red; she´s very rude and bad educated. The tennis female player no deserve that.

"They always talk a lot. It's happened before, so it's gonna happen again." Seems Hingis was right after all. x2
xlvlrangelx 5 months ago
@xlvlrangelx Hingis was so right till her coke addicted ass had to retire and look like the pathetic moron that she is. Too bad serena has almost 3x the GS she had for her to be such a genius...yes Hingis was right afteralll...NOT...LMAO
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 And this coke issue has to do with Serena's outburst because?..
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx because it does...read b4 u write...
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 LOL? "because it does"? Are you retarded or something alike? I read your bs that is exactly why i asked you why does the coke problem has anything to do with Serena's outburst, can't you simply answer the question ?

twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 Wow you are in fact retarded kid. @ means you're replying to the person after the @ and i read my nickname not any other's. I couldn't care less about Hingis nor the pathetic comparison you did about her and Serena, i quoted Hingis and turns out that what she said happens over and over again. How is your "power argumentation" make her statement invalid? Because so far you only showed how simple minded you are... :(
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx First off faggot, what does the statement "hingis was right after all" mean in relation to Serena? Let's just get to the core of the stupidity that you started. Hingis was a crack whore so how valid is anything that she says? Not valid at all. Serena has been cheated on multiple occasions, so maybe she has a reason to act up. Hingis was a fool herself on court (FO against Graf) and her ass wasn't even being cheated. So you're the retard one dumb ass.
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 What does it mean? Didn't you get it from the freaking first post i did? Seriously? You're gonna dig you grave a bit more? So let me write it again so you're pathetic little brain understands (i guess not, but hell, i'll give it a try!) Hingis once told in a press conference that "the Williams sisters talk a lot, it happened before so it will happen again, i don't really worry about that". Can you relate this to USO 2009 & USO 2011 finals? No? It is sad :'(
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx You're stupid as fuck I see. Who gives a flying fuck what a crack whore that was starting to get beaten says? She talked more than anyone...even called Mauresmo a man and Davenport fat so how valid was she and how valid are you. NOT AT ALL. Can you relate 2004 USO serena vs capriati, 2003 FO Serena vs Justine, 2004 Venus vs Sprem to them being cheated? Now give me one memorable time your crack whore was cheated. I would talk a lot too you baboon. You're a complete idiot.
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 Last time i checked i commented this on a video entitled as "Serena Williams argument with umpire 2011 US OPEN Final but Avoids Ban" so my problems with your rants are:
1º Regardless what Hingis said/is/was it doesn't make her statement less valid;
2º No one is talking about other finals, this is about SERENA'S OUTBURST (read the effin title please.);
3º And not the least, are you from US? Because that would explain a lot :)
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx Her statement is very invalid...what does an outburst has to do with talking a lot...you're so stupid...OMG. Numbers 1-3 basically solidified a big nothing and shows that you really can't back up what you were trying to say. Last but not least, Serena and Venus are still playing and Hingis is trying her hardest to win WTT and legends matches...LMAO after she was BANNED from tennis for using crack. So it seems to me that the jokes was on her. Bitter apples my fellow lame?
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 So we got back to the very beginning, you refuse to understand, you keep making comparisons which are not the point here, you keep showing your stupidity over and over again, trashing Hingis like she's one to blame about what Serena did... So i'll just leave you with your hypothetical delusional world :) Have fun!
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx Ummm...basically we didn't. I refuse to accept stupidity as a valid excuse or explanation. You tried your best to make an argument and failed miserably...next time make sure it makes sense. An "outburst" is a spontaneous reaction caused by a stimulus. Talking a lot is not an outburst. Maybe you will be able to get a good education one day, the same suggestion that serena had for Hingis after her remark years ago, lmao. Have a blessed day yourself. BTW hingis trashed herself.
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 Yea, like i need to prove anything at all to you rofl. She ran her filthy mouth again and i do not need any facts to backup this statement, everyone can see for themselves on this video & lots of others. Relatively to an education, well maybe i should get some tips from Serena and btw from you too, namely bashing others when i cannot argue nor explain my povs, right? ;)
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx Don't get angry because your argument was stupid and invalidated. What happened to you mentioning Hingis? A rant from a bitter crackhead who talked shit about other players was the best you could do. I personally wish Serena would have beaten some of the officials who have cheated her and Venus bc like asked you before, NAME ONE OTHER WOMAN THAT HAS BEEN BLATANTLY CHEATED IN TENNIS OVER THE YEARS. You can't, only thing you'll do is say, they're the only ones making a deal of it.
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 oh dont worry, i dont get angry over internet stuff. I could mention Hingis, Henin, whatever, it really doesnt matter who i mention or not, she is a disgraceful person with a terrible attitude, classless and an hypocrite, she cant assume her mistakes, anyone can tell that by watching her press conferences where she denies everything and claims she doesnt remember and stuff...
She should learn for an instance Hantuchova's attitude in court, always classy.
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx Classless is cheating another player, pretending to be hurt when losing, or quitting during a grand slam final (justine Henin). Classless is saying another player looks like a man, or that a player is too fat, or smoking crack to win a match...lol (Hingis). Give me one time or instance in which Serena has denied anything in a press conference? LOL. First off, you never gave me an example of another player being cheated. You're an idiot and your argument is a major FAIL. Eat shit.
twarren20 4 months ago
@xlvlrangelx Wait a minute. I swear, why am I even discussing this matter with you. After look at your responses and your writing, I have come to the conclusion that you are around 12 years old. Am I right? Oh, wow. I'm done...jeez, I've wasted my time thinking that you were an adult...smh. Bye-bye :)
twarren20 4 months ago
@twarren20 Your rants, comparing players and bringing other issues rather than discuss the one on this video show lack of argumentation and you tell me i'm a 12 y old? lol seems that a 12 y old can bring some facts around then, unlike you :o but ill tell you something in a way you seem to understand:
Serena = no class , Hantuchova = pure class!
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago
@twarren20 oh and btw "i personally wish Serena would have beaten (...)" once again, this proves how educated you are, keep it up !
xlvlrangelx 4 months ago

TheMlle228 5 months ago 2

Seles was sometimes Steffi's only challenger at Slams!
tremaine861 5 months ago
@tremaine861 apples to apples, orange's to orange's not apples to orange's.
cheecho63 5 months ago
@tremaine861 I do .Steffi Graf is the most dominant tennis player I have ever seen, replacing Martina Navratilova, who places second. Male or female. Now, I do agree that the Seles stabbing was a big deal. They had a great rivalry and it was ruined because of that madman. But Graf retired at age 29, just after winning the French and making the Finals at Wimbledon. She was still the best, even with all the injuries and time off. And she was certainly the best athlete the WTA has seen.
trha2222 5 months ago
@trha2222 So what do you think of women's tennis today (1999-2011) compared to the Graf, Seles era the 1990s basically.
tremaine861 5 months ago
@trha2222 Steffi really wasn't the best...her countrymen eliminated the competition (Seles)...no competition= easy winnings.

Rule was clear, she messed up but her selfishness made her argue. To carry on like that was childish. She must look back at this and aquirm with embarassment. Punishment needed to be harsher and an apology in public just as she made a problem in public.
bbh1978 5 months ago
@bbh1978 Rule was not clear and NO ONE has even produced this alleged rule. In fact, the same empire played the point over in another one of Serena's matches. Show me the rule and I will believe it. What happened to the apology from the empire who cheated her openly and on multiple occasions in the 2004 Capriati match, or the one who allowed that loser Henin to cheat at the 2003 FO? At the end of the day Serena has 13 GS in COUNTING...GO SERENA GO!
