I loved the Dark Night, and if it won that would be awesome, but i have my doubts that it would be. For Best Picture anyway, thought i am almost postitive that it will be at least nominated in some other categories, like best actor or set or SOMETHING. it is december now and we now know that AUSTRAILIA is not a good choice, change the RR to slumdog millionaire and AUSTRAILIA with DARK KNIGHT. that is a better choice, if the academy STILL doesn't like the comic book movies, maybe CHALLENGING will be on the list.

I want the dark knight to get a nod too. Personally I believe it's in the academy's best interest to nominate a movie that a lot of people have seen. Maybe it will boost the ratings for the show this year, given that the last couple of years they have been god awful. But, realistically the Academy looks down on blockbuster movies like the dark knight. I think it has a chance to win a few big ones best supporting, screenplay, and directing. Not best picture unfortunately
