  • the faces of the victims is scarier in the american version. but isnt this video older? well that would explain alot

  • the american ver of the tape was so much cooler..

  • You might say she's stupid for watching the tape ... but would any of you have done differently? Here we all are, watching a film about a film that kills people. Surely you see the irony in that?

  • Just take the tape and have it broadcasted on national TV 10 times per day lol.

  • Hey stupid,if she did'nt watch, burn or throw the tape then there won't be this movie.Morons

  • I'd burn the stupid tape.

  • then u should buy a phone....

  • What if you watch it and there's not a phone around?

  • I hate it when you have the creepy ass little kids in scary movies it just makes you want to punch their face in even though they are a little kid T__T

  • The fucking tape is not as scary as american one....

  • the scary thing was when the video ended my phone just rang but then i answerd it it was my friend

  • OMG I was phoned by a fly... I have seven days to live!

  • i love this film the american 1 butchered it!

  • i really like japanese movies.... it thrills me to the bone...,,, i prefer watching these than those of american horror films.

  • The tape was also scarier in the american version. It had more disturbing stuff in it.

And in the american version there was no music while the video played. Just tape sounds, wich I found a lot creepier.

  • no use running scared now, dumbass! you shouldnt have watched the bastard in the first place!!!!

  • There's a subtle ambience about the Japanese original that creeps you out more gradually in the long run, especially when you're watching it alone. More of a psychological slow burn. And that is because the American version, with its 'wham-bam-in-yoh-face' effects is too glossy and contrived to be taken as seriously. Americans don't understand or appreciate subtlety. Everything from their comedy to their horror has to be a spectacle.

  • @Sambucca 100% true about this movie AND americans

  • @nicelydone31 what do you know about americans? Least we had the good sense to kick your kind out of here couple of centuries ago. Riot much lately?

  • @trekfanful hey, i didnt say anything about americans so whats with the attitude? but now that you bring it up those mini riots in the UK are nothing compared to US high school shootings and the KKK and 9/11 and i could go on forever!!!

  • @nicelydone31 Sure England's imperialism on a truly global scale over a period of centuries and their snobbish class consciousness among other things such as quarrels with Northern Ireland over catholicism vs protestant beliefs are so insignificant compared to the mistakes of the U.S. How does 9/11 fit into that category anyway? We wern't the responsible party there. But speaking of that when you people were so busy with something so important as a royal wedding we had people in Afganistan

  • @nicelydone31 oing a job that that obviously noone else could do. You Europeans love to put down on us Call us racist and so forth. Let me ask you does your little country have the racial diversity that mine does? Does it have the ethnic diversity that mine does? Does it have the religeous diversity that mine does? We still don't have gender equality or equality based on sexual orientation but you're not really any better. Next time you want to put down on a nation that you obviously know

  • @nicelydone31 nothing about look at your own elitist country first. Ask the people in North Ireland how they feel about you. England refuses to give that place up because it is the last tiny vestige of a once very large empire. You don't have Canada,Australia,South Africa,Hong Kong or ,oh yeah, America anymore so you your frail egos have to hold onto something right?

  • @trekfanful what is with the rant???? read my original comment again and you will see that i said NOTHING about americans. NOTHING!

  • @nicelydone31 There's a subtle ambience about the Japanese original that creeps you out more gradually in the long run, especially when you're watching it alone. • @trekfanful i don't understand where you are coming from, first you give me a hard time then you have something to say against americans yourself! i prefer the japanese version but that said i prefer the american version of the grudge and the japanese version of the second grudge. please dont reply to my comment and we'll go our own ways.

  • @nicelydone31 my last comment was on that I copied from you retard

  • @trekfanful "no use running scared now, you shouldn't have watched the bastard in the first place!" that was my first comment, so put your specs on and take your fucking meds and leave me alone

  • @trekfanful

No, actually you copied that post from me.

  • @Sambucca So what are you trying to say here? Americans are too stupid to understand subtlety? Well listen here Lucky Charms, you blarny kissing drunk. Whenever you get Northern Ireland back then we can talk. You Europeans are by far the most arrogant sons of bitches around. Look at your neighbors the french. Where you car bombing, shamrock picking micks and your limy friends be without the U.S. Oh yeah you'd all be speaking German.

  • @trekfanful

Haha...I think your little tirade just proved that subtlety is definitely NOT your specialty. Tell me why every Hollywood remake of a foreign language film is louder, glossier and completely lacking the atmosphere of the original? Because Hollywood follows a formula that appeals to the sophmoric demands of the average American movie-goer, who himself is louder and shinier than his European counterparts. That filters right through your shitty reality TV shows and sitcoms.

  • @Sambucca

Everyone appearing on American television looks like a bronzed, airbrushed caricature of a human being. Forensic detectives piece together clues with ridiculous technology, 'hilarious' Doctors dish out advice to callers like clowns throwing balloon animals at excited children, Ellen Degenerate wiggles her scrawny ass while a crowd of morons scream and clap like seals. Sadly this dreadful entertainment culture is influencing the European youth who are demanding stuff just like it.

  • musicatonnetwork japanse is better!

  • english version is better

  • My tummy rumbled in the middle of the tape and I freaked out >.<

  • started watching in 2a.m.....

  • @hujigaoka

2a.m. is the worst time to watch i keep checking if there's anything behind me haha

  • She juss enters the Cabin and sleeps ? LOL

  • the idiot watched it

  • See! The kid calls her mom on this one! Why did they have him call her by her name in the american remake?? *shakes head* Silly people.

  • OMGSH 7 DAYS D:

  • .... dumb ass lady

  • If this was China, there is a great possibility that that tape has porn on it instead of Samara.

  • My dad's fat. My mum's fat. So I'm fat too. XD

  • wow that one is much shorter than the video on the american version.

  • make this movie "The Ring 3D"!!

  • I think the scariest part of this movie is definitely the soundtrack.

  • its too scary too watch on youtube D=

  • wahh the only thing really scary to me is the faces of the victims... TT-TT

  • same here, i always squint when i think the movie's going to pop the faces out at me. D:

  • i hate this tape cos it's hard to watch it for me..TOO SCARY...and it's just a movie :D

  • yup watch the tape even when you know peole have died watching it.Thats a sensible thing to do.

  • guess she is smarter than Jimmy Neutron wajajaja

  • @koldergut Oh absolutely. Dont think about you know, your little boy being an orphan or anything...no just go ahead and watch the death tape XD. Bad mommy, no cookie!

  • @koldergut Without people committing idiotic acts in films, you wouldn't have plot motivation, which is essential for any movie. Common sense is non-existent in films!

  • @kalimaganeshshivan Common sense is virtually non-human. Read Dostoevsky's Notes From Underground on that. We're human exactly because we choose to do stupid and dangerous stuff rather than follow the rules of nature, as animals do.

  • @HelenaXVI I agree with you to a point, but if something tells me I'm going to die if I do something stupid, unless I have a death wish, I'M NOT GOING TO DO IT! LOL

  • aww i wonder if it will be like the english version in the end
