Has anyone heard their rendition of the Loch Tay Boat Song? It sounds marvelous! These men are, in my opinion, the finest Scottish music duo one could find. They sound even better in person ! Thank you for posting this, Sir Kirkus.

I've met Alex beaton in person several times since i was an infant. He even dedicated and played a song at one of his concerts to my (then two year old) sister. One of my fav artists :-)

About twenty years ago I heard Alasdair talking about improvisation to fiddle students at Sabhal Mor Ostaig, Skye and using Mrs MacLeod of Raasay as an example. The "Scotland the Brave" lyrics are similar to the Corries' take on it.

lol...love it...a decidedly modern uptake on this great old song! I was surprised this is the only alex beaton vid on here..He has been a fixture at games round this country for years...heck...years ago, I used to occasionally be invited onstage to sing with him!...lol Thanks for treating us all!
