  • whoa this is a old ass clip and no one has seen it in like forever

  • (\__/)

    (='.'=)

  • Thanks for posting; nice overview.

I like the touch of the ceiling fan over you... brings to mind the phrase "Propellerhead." Haha!

  • @KutWrite Hahaha the ceiling fan looks hilarious!

  • I wish you can show us how the song sounds.

  • To what end? A) Youtube audio quality is terrible. B) The DAW itself doesn't change the sound of your music. A Loop played in Garageband will sound and render the same as one done in FL Studio for example.

  • Hellshoe12. How Do You post a bunny Picture?

  • this is a little poll im making.

WHICH OF THESE WOULD YOU PREFER BEST (PICK WISELY AND LOOK THESE UP):

    A. MUSICSHAKE

    B. GARAGEBAND'08

    C. MIXCRAFT 4.1

  • hey sup909, can the new GB 08' accept the old apple loops? (like 07' , or 06 ?)

  • i picked up a uk magazene "computer music" and the whole thing is dedicated to garage band and even includes a disc with 200some extra loops (best from all the packs)

  • Yeh but can fruity loops work on mac ?

  • No, Floops doesn't work on the Mac unfortunately. Something like Tracktion however does, and may provide a similar workflow to what Floops provides.

  • just boot camp xp on you mac if you havent already

  • Hey, if you record something and there is a bad part in the middle of it, can you get rid of the middle section and replace it while leaving the whole line or whatever as it is?

  • YEs, but that is dependent upon the software you are using, not the audio interface. Logic Pro and Garageband for example have excellent tools to do this. Any program that allows you to cut and splice audio you can do that in.

  • Can you record with real instruments?

  • Sure can. Just need to line in with a microphone or if it is an electric guitar plug right in.

  • On a macbook?

  • Sorry I actually thought this was for my Fast Track Pro review. Yes simply get an audio interface with any input and you can record. Up to 16 simultaneous tracks

  • I thought the macbook had a built in mic

  • it does but it's pretty cheap

  • lol

  • hehe i love seein people with just a macbook and a midi controller crank out killer music while people who spend all they're time spending thousands of dollars on gear and they still suck at making music.

  • Actually I spent zero dollars on FL7 XXL thanks to something called a Torrent and in only a few months of trial and error figured it out pretty well, check out some FL7 vids.

  • For the $150 it cost to have a lifetime upgrade for Floops you really have no excuse for pirating it. Pony up the $150 and pay the people who are trying to make a living off the software.

  • LOLOLOLOOOOOOOL

    YOU BEST BE JOKIN!

  • You pleb, pony up the cash

  • there are people who cant afford the software.

  • Do you think it is ok to steal a guitar because it is expensive? Either find a way to save (ever heard of the starving artist?), or use an alternative. Ardour, Buzz Tracker, Psycle, Reaper. All cheaper or free. There is never an excuse to steal software.

  • There is a virus that screws your Mac up hidden as a free iLife '09 download so BE CAREFUL AND DON'T PIRATE STUFF.

  • I need this but I need to know if it works with my drumb

  • what is a drumb?

  • Good Stuff.

  • how do u get garageband 08

  • Garageband '08 is a Macintosh only software that comes pre-installed on all new Apple computers, or can be purchased as part of iLife '08 for $79.

  • cool i can make my techno music easier (sony ACID suck's as$ hard to use)

  • There is no right or wrong way to create music. What may seem intuitive to one individual might not to another. That is why there are litterally hundreds of digital audio workstation software out there ranging Cubase, to Logic, to Pro Tools. Whatever works for you is what works.

  • I'd rather have garage band

  • dumb pc idiot!

  • ha ha...sony acid is the original non-musician program. the difference is acid is basically a loop program. Garageband is a dumbed down version of Logic Pro...which is one of the industry standards. Oh yeah, they are both PC-only or Mac-only...which is why you are probably sooo pissed..cause everybody can find a PC to Use...But, Macs?? Well, they are a bit harder to find..

  • absolutely!

    why is that?!

theres never macs at an avarage super store..

    why?

  • Apple has an Authorized Reseller Program for Merchants that want to become Apple dealers. There are many IPod dealers..but for a store to sell Macs is more stringent qualifications. Personally, after viewing the shoddy Mac Displays at Fry's I think they've been a little too agressive with this. But, it was nice to see Guitar Center with a Big Mac Display one day!!!

  • Really??? All BestBuys near me and states next to me all carry Apples and they're a bigbox chain.

  • All new Macs allow for you to install windows xp or vistas using the pre-installed Bootcamp on Macs so it really doesn't matter anymore.

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
