I own a tommy 20 as well and I would like to upgrade the voltage on it. I have watched your how to mod black widow vid but I am a complete noob when it comes to wiring. Can you please do an in-depth video on the wiring/battery upgrade?

Hey man Nice Job, I would like to make one...I'm old for running around with my son and his friend so I need something to compensate. what is the purpose of the capacitor between the switch and the battery...?and where can I get one of this guns? thanks for the review man...

@kingx1975 You can find these at Toys R Us , Walmart or Target stores. The capacitor comes with the the stock wiring. I've tried it with and without the capacitor and it does'nt really make a difference.

@kingx1975 cool man, for some reason I thought that the capacitor is for protect the motor so don't get over heat and burn, I notice that you did one tommy with two 9 volt battery, how is the motor on that gun,it still holding well? once again thanks a lot for the review..

@kingx1975 That 18 volt Tommy 20 was sold last year along with the others in my videos. I'm always making more guns though. Honestly anything over 10-12 volts on a tommy 20 doesn't make any difference in shooting range. The thing that helps protect the motors from running too much is to add on the pressure switch so the motors only run when you need them to fire. Stay tuned I have some new ideas coming soon.

@stephen5arms I've never had a problem with these guns jamming. Maybe only if you don't pull the trigger all the way. There are 2 variations of the gun. The better ones are in the special Target stores 2 pack. They feature a larger hole around the motors, a small rubber bumper that keeps the dart going straight into the motors and larger chambers on the magazine barrel which keep the darts from falling out.
