My favorite weapon by far is the high explosive. It's just so much fun!

By far the best game of all time, I still play it today. It's interested to see how someone else plays it. I always use auto cannon with high explosives and use auto shoot to get three rounds off - just the best game ever! Love It!!!

If you watch 9.1 Vid supposly the later of this game on superhuman its not on superhuman the snakeman you mindprobed his stats are way to low, the accuracy and reactions should be around 65 to 90 reactions. so im assuming you either cheated you viewers and went back to beginner or you have the Diffculty bug

its the difficulty bug. a few months ago i installed xcom util and that fixes a lot of things but i dont play xcom anymore really

After two men are out of the ship - end the turn! see if there are any shots taken against your men and see what direction the shots come in! And use the cover properly! And put out teams of two and point them in different directions so they can cover each other! Gosh, it's frustrating watching these videos! :)

You don't go out your 1st SH mission without a tank cannon. Your mission early on is to get plasma pistols and alloys.

awful equipping.

Auto cannons are good? Good for nothing! Rifles are enough to kill sectoids and you should, once again, kill and run with his pistol home.

awful going out.

You don't put fifteen soldiers to be killed by one AGrenade. four out, two pairs, to scout the exit site.

awful narration. No comments on that.

for the cheaters, there is a item-stacking and free manufacturing cheat that save money and lives like crazy. for item stacking click the small arrow on th inv screen then place the item. itll disaper, but its there. you can combine weapons (stun rod + almost all terran items = a cc attack reading stun with 50% TUs). the free manufacture is eay: just start the process, but dont asiign any engineers or build anything. just leave it blank. then build 1 item, and place the workers. no costs/stuff.

your troop deployment leaves a lot to be desired. loosing that many troops means your a bad commander (not trying to insult) you should loose no more than one or two at the most. even with in-experenced troops. is there a site on the net that covers troop deployment? if not i might make something to help all the x-commers out there.

nah a bit of bad luck and usa and europe can actually be horrible start spots... really in the end by 2nd month your 2nd base should be on its way - if you suck of course that wont happen, by end of 2nd month u should have armor and laser weaponry and be set to mass produce i think laser cannons to make money.

Man, I love how you do the classic 'go to 5 seconds' button when you get you gun order delivered, then go back to the fast time sign straight away. Always the way I did it. Love the videos man, UFO is my favorite all time game - battling through terror of the deepe for completion's sake, looking forward to some farmhouse battles once I'm done

Whenever I play X-Com, I just use the first 8 I get with the first weapons, and send them out in little squadrons of 2 or 3 each. But then again, I play on the easiest difficulty and still get my ass handed to me.

First base should be statistically in either North America (Biggest fund giver) or Central Europe ( where there are most fund givers in your range)

a base in northafrica covers europe and north africa. i should have put the base in north america because later i lose the usa as a supporter. live and learn
