  • That was pretty damn good man. You just got yourself a new subscriber :) Excellent work!

  • Not the best thing for me to watch in the middle of the night by myself in my house haha I love the sound design the best in this movie, really believable, added so much to the film. Great work David

  • not scary

  • Not too shabby.

  • Nice job!

  • Great job! could improve the "look" with some colour correction though

  • for gods sake why do people say this film is bad in any way you have sure got the talent to be hollywood actors thanks for this real film like upload guys

  • you guys are so fucking talented!keep up the good work!

  • This was VERY good =] keep up the gio work ...and check out my new short film not as good as this but I'll get better

  • Very well made, good job!

  • at 2:15 and wen the smoke started to come out and the guy got pulled away that was awesome man i gotta give it to you guys 5/5 i thought this would be a little crappy because it was in a neighborhood and all but it was great

  • Fantastic Work !!!! 4/5

  • great job

  • Don't forget about boots haha. Cool vid, just that one part where you see the guy get lifted up, but his shoes are vans or something at 2:41.

  • lol, don't they use that for navy seals these days

  • You spelled Disappearance wrong... lol

Great film though. Next time for realism's sake, you should use hand movements/gestures to portray coordination of your squad. That and add real gun sound effects. 4/5

  • i wish i could find enough actors/props to do something like this! haha

  • nice; had a real 'hollywood' feel to it. Like the garriage shot that pans down to the 'warning' and the gun lights inside! All you needed in that scene was a smoke machine!!!! brilliant, hope you do more fictional narrative stuff.

  • this is great i love the plot its like quarantine/ rec but 100x better

  • amazing, simply outstanding.

  • Outstanding!

  • very good!

  • Hey thanks for checking out some of my films! im glad you liked this one

  • Awesome! Cinematography, colors, acting, music, everything was totally professional! What camera do you guys use? The quality is sick!

  • the drama was alittle bit scary and the filming was really really good. but the acting wasn't the best, didn't made me feel like.. whoa! :| ha. but everything else is good.

  • Fantastic work!

  • editing!

  • you are so good at this! great editing.

  • thanks! I really enjoy doing it!

  • This reminded me of those reality/ghost hunter/unexplained phenomena shows you see on the SCI FI channel. Well done.

  • AWESOME!!! That was very good! Very much great suspense in this movie!!! Love it!

  • I really liked the shots on this one, especially the the shot of the garage door coming down to reveal the caution tape. The effects were also very, very, well done. The only things that could have used improvement were the acting and more closure to the story at the end. Overall, very well done.

What export settings did you use to be able to fit that HD file onto youtube?

  • Hey thanks for the great comment! I defiantly agree with you on the acting part. I exported the file using quicktime compressor under these settings:

    1280 x 720 screen size

restrict data rate to 3000 kb per second

    under a h.264 file codec

  • THANKS!!!

  • scary^^

  • were u using the 24p setting because it looked a lot more like a progressive shot rather then interlaced. probably the

    720p-24P setting, is that right?

  • yeah it was shot in 720 24pn (progressive native)

  • thanks man, i would love to get a hold of that camera, we use it in my film class, but they r so freaking expensive.

  • With the opening credits at the end, it looks like an opening for a film.

    Nice job.

  • nice one ::)

  • dude. sweet

  • dude this vid is pretty sick good editing

  • Wow, im impressed. The only thing that could have made this stronger was the acting. But overall it was pretty damn good.

    Keep it up.

  • thanks man im glad you liked it!

  • Very interesting. Great night scenes. You have a nice piece of metal(both camera and guns). Didn't quite understand the ending, but great lighting and dolly scene at the end. Soundtrack was also very nice. I espically liked the garage closing. You guys should be careful with your guns around the neighborhood because some neighbor could easily falsely call out a "guy with a gun in black attire" (we've had this almost happen to us) simply do tell your neighbors your intentions and continue. GJ.

  • nice...actually had some well thought out scare moments. I enjoyed it. I agree, however, that the end was not quite up to the first couple minutes. And, there was little explination as to what was going on. nevertheless, quite good.

  • that was great but at the end, make him seem more scared, the gun sfx coulda been better too. rest was good.

  • It was all good except for the last scene. There was no suspense in it and the gun shot sound FX weren' t too good either!

    4/5 ;)

  • dude this is fuckin awesome! what camera are u using and how did you do the lighting?

    inspiring

  • thanks man! I am using the hvx200 and for the lighting i mainly just used a single camera light on my camera and then color corrected it blue to get that bluish tint.

  • thats the panasonic right? same one they used on RVD2 ....i love the look of it. sooo rich. im deff gonna get it....eventually lol

  • That was very good man!

  • Hey. I got to your movie couple of days ago, by videocopilot forum. In your movie, there are parts i like and I don't. Im kinda demanding so don't get me wrong or too offensive.

Good part is that you've got quite nice amount of shots which are not making watcher confused. And that you actually made it through. I didn't like acting part: "- Did you hear that? - No, let's go" smth like this. Automaticly he replied that he DID not hear anything, without any interest... damn, comments are too short.

  • Wow, that was very good.

  • thanks man! I really liked your unknown series 2 the fx you put in there were nice when the train blew up what program did you use for when the cars were falling?

  • this is pretty awesome. you sent me a friend invite so i figured i should watch what you have. plus i saw your comment on anarchyincproductions channel.

im not in college yet to make student films. but i do make films. admittadly not good ones but i do have one im still working on.

  • thanks man I actually im not in college right now im only 16 and a high school junior. Awesome looking forward to seeing the ones your working on!

  • no way thats awesome. im 15 high school sophomore

  • cool dude you still got some years ahead of you to make some awesome films!

  • yea the one thats taking me forever is called Odis. and ive been trying to do it for over a year but i cant find a fake shotgun. i made a trailer for it though

  • Are you thinking about going to the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU? There film program is one of the best, than and USC!

  • one thing is this supposed to be the beggining of a whole film. becaause it looks like that with the title at the end.

  • yeah its supposed to be the begging of a feature film.

  • oooohhhh...I get it...that's why it wasn't explained. There's going to be more. I have no doubt that the rest will be awesome too.

  • amazing .. yu are a great film maker man .. what kind of guns are those ? :P

  • there airsoft guns haha.

  • Wow I loved it! The costumes and guns were especially awesome. The acting is good and the voices are clear, which is a rare thing you see in other short films. =P The camera work, whoever done it, done a great job on it. It got a really good atmosphere throughout.

The let down is that the music mostly remained constant and didn't make a horror atmosphere. The ending could of also made itself more clearer too.

    3/5 + favourited.

  • Thanks man appreciate it. I did the camerawork by the way haha. Thanks for the comment about the music next time i will keep that in mind =)

  • I really liked the low light stuff, really added to the mood. 5/5

  • thanks man! i love the low light stuff also!

  • Not bad, better than alot of college student films. I recommend cheking out adrian picardi's channel. you might like his style.

  • thanks i take that as a big complement since im only a junior in high school! haha

  • dude that was awsome!

  • thanks man im glad you liked it!

  • hey man, good job on this film. it was shot very well, especially for having lowlight scenes. but what the hell is up with that boot camp for jesus video ? i mean it looks good but why would you want to promote a very harsh form of brainwashing. just my 2 cents, keep up the good work.

  • Thanks man glad you liked this video! the boot camp video was for a military bootcamp my church does for kids one week its physical and the next week its spiritual emphasis where there is bible studies and the like.

  • this was a really good movie

    i enjoyed it very much

  • thanks man!

  • What Camera do you use?

  • I use the hvx200

  • nice effects

  • I hope there will be a sequel soon.

  • haha a little what we were trying to achieve lol im glad you liked it!

  • Hey, this was awesome. Do you have a video light on your camera or something? U can drive too... No fair

  • Yeah we used a video light and some external lights with gels. Naw I cant drive that was my friend driving haha thanks for your positive comments!

  • very good I loved it the camera work editing and lighting were perfect giving a moody feel the plot is good as well what editing software do yoo have for yor films. 5 stars

  • thanks man! I use final cut pro studio 2 to edit

  • Having said that, i liked the film. I thought it was good, tension could have been established alil better but inorder to do that it would have be longer then it is, so under the time constraints and takin everything into account it was put together pretty good. Look forward to seeing more films from you :P 5/5 from me

  • Hey man thanks alot I will take in to account all your critiques. I do agree with you on the fakeness of the gun something I had to just leave due to time constraints. Also I do agree with you on the lighting being unnatural in some shots due to shadows. Thanks for your feedback i appreciate it a lot!

  • No problem. One thing that i failed to mention before but should mention now. Is that the basic idea of story telling in ur shot film is well established. You tell ur story effectively. In my last film, i neglected the story somewhat in favor for the technical excution (lighting was completely controlled, and sound was 90 percent redone and edited in). I wish i coulda did a better job with the narration which was a major critique of my film. But your story was solid. Keep it up right. :P

  • Most of wat i suggest u improve on is me just being picky ight :P. In terms of cinematography, it was really well shot. There was a few instances where the lighting (although good) seemed unnnatural due to the shadows. Sound editing could have been better (the gun did sound unnatural wen being shot, and sounded plasticy wen being handled). There are a few cliche shots in there but the overall video editing was really good so it wasnt anytin too bad. Your shots flowed from one to another.

  • Really great job. The steady cam was a little shakey for my tastes. YOu might want to use a home made steady cam next time. Also you could have don't something in after effects to make it look like you guys were roaming around in the dark a little more, even though you lighting was good. Also, the gun shot was a little too fake. But other than that good job.

  • hey man thanks for the comment. Yeah i thought about that although then it would be a little to dark and you could not make out what was going on so I had to make a decision. Yeah I do agree with you on the gun shots got any suggestions on improving them?

  • That turned out great dawg! Upload the bloopers next

  • o man the bloopers us almost getting shot was awesome!

  • nicely done guys. great job with the editing in particular, nice series of cuts, great shot selections. keep up the good work.

  • thanks man Im glad you liked it!

  • dude u shulda asked me... showed it to another cop, he noticed alota errors too but it was good

  • haha dude i couldnt you were busy jeez lol

  • lol dude i culda made time if u told me ... i dnt no if u dnt tell me

  • ok next time i will let you know haha

  • plus dude, i enjoy directing stuff like that, cuz its in my area of expertise .. id do it for no money

  • yeah I know dude next time I will ask you cause i defiantly need a director on my shoots cause its close to impossible to shoot and direct at the same time lol

  • cool video guys! I heard you got the cops called on you crazy!

  • It's a good video made better because of the video quality. The props, camera work, and sets were excellent but it should have a little more substance for such high production quality.

  • Well it was an opening sequence for a feature film so the story was not completely put together since it was just an opening scene.

  • Ok cool. I thought this was the entire film. If you have more I know it should turn out great. Can't wait to see the entire project.

  • are you using air guns?

  • yeah there all metal we painted the tips black haha
