I just came back from Afghanistan. I was fighting Taliban in the south with other US forces. We worked with a lot of Dutch, Brit and Canadian forces. All had something good to bring to the table fighting the insurgency. Our combat outpost got attacked once. Five fucking hours we were in a firefight with Talibs and Uzbek militants. If it wasn't for Dutch Apache helicopters hammering the bad dudes with 30mm and hellfires, we would've been fucked. Thanks Dutch guys.

what I'm trying to say is countries like Germany and France need to put more men into the fight and i was using these statistics to show that NATO countries and other allies in ISAF are not doing enough (more losses = more men and more men in the most dangerous areas). i except that maybe the dutch army cant afford to provide more men but major players like France and Germany defiantly can and we need more boots on the ground to get the job done and bring our troops home.

ik zit sinds een paar weken bij de Luchtmobiele Brigade in training , het enigste wat ik je mee kan geven is gezond blijven eten , sporten zodat je goed op kracht komt, het leger heeft hele leuke kanten maar ook zeker minder leuke kanten , bijvoorbeeld het verliezen van je buddy.
