@israelb077 hahah me too, and then when the asian came along, it was obvious it was an international thing lmao, but I use to love this show xD and after joe came along, it wasn't the same T.T
My world was just shattered! Yes i teared up a bit when i saw steve leave again but thats not it im almost dieing right now because i always thought blue was a male!!!!!!!!!
I fully admit, thanks to Netflix, my daughter has watched Blue's Clues from a very young age (somewhere around 6-8 months old), and I owe much of her smarts to it. Blue's Clues taught her to count to twenty, all the color names, all the letters of the alphabet, and much more (and she's not even 3). It really does work, and Blue's is a big part of our daily routine. Years after it's stopped airing, Blue's is still teaching, and in a big way.
blues clues is the greastest learning show kids could possibly watch. my oldest son is 3 n has watches blue since he was born n he has learned so much from this show. i wish it was as popular as it used ta be. steve couldnt b a greater role model for kids even his music is inspiring
Poor Steve. He left the show because he was going bald. He must have felt it was too sad for kids to see happen. I wouldn't want kids to see me lose my hair on a kid's show either.
15 years later...and I still have a little guily pleasure for Blue's Clues. It was my favorite show when I was a kid. I remember when rumors went around the preschool that Steve left or went 'bye-bye'. Joe was okay, but couldn't stand up to Steve. Back in the day, I had several Blue's Clues tapes and toys (especially this annoying Steve doll, that talked when you pressed his hand, when I stepped on him alot in my 'messy' room). They should bring Blue back for this new generation of children.
@rablpn Hooray for netflix! I'm watching Steve and Blue with my 2 year old son! He loves Blue's Clues! <3 (I watched it with my little sister. She's 19 now.
Blues clues is like two and a half men when charlie left and when it stopped being good like when steve left and joe replaced him it was still good but not like when steve was doing the show. that is why i think they stopped fliming blues clues because the replacement actor joe did not appeal to kids like steve did
he really broke the hearts of a million children and left us with joe because he was starting to bald? (i have nothing against joe, but come on, no one liked him. he was like a weird, awkward version of steve)
The Steve days were the golden days of Blue's Clues. I miss this show sooooo baaaaaaaad! I had like thirty of every Blue's Clues merchandise and every episode on VHS. Btw, You Rock Devon!
I remember actually sort of liking this show, even as a teenager, because the style and how Steve seemed to actually have some respect for his audience. He didn't talk to the kids like they were a bunch of kids. It was something to watch when I was sick at home anyway. Wait, was that Old Christine at 1:50?
omg i seriously miss blue's clues. i would watch it all day when i got home from preschool. when i saw the episode when steve left for college i cried my eyes out. but in my eyes it brings back my memories as a toddler. I MISS U STEVE! =*(
Yes. Blues Clues was a genious idea back in the day. These people in the 1990s really knew what they were doing when they wrote and produced the show. It remains such an interactive, educational classic that could never be replaced.
i was like 7 wen steve left nd i membered crying like a liddo babyy D; !! i still watched blues clues cause i love it so so soooo muchh <3,, nd im a junior !! haha i miss steve tho,, joes juss not tha same <'3 but still ohkay :)
It woulda been so wrong to play 'Kevin' in America by accident. Children everywhere: "MOMMMY, WHO'S THE FREAKY MAN ON THE TV! THAT'S NOT STEVE! WHERE'S STEVE! MOMMY!!!!!"
i feel like ones with steve you are being looked in the eye like you our his friend and feel like ones with joe like he's lookin dowm at you which can be scary
I grew up under the rumor that Steve started the show because he was on drugs (I mean he hung out with an animated dog... come on) and he left to go to rehab. Then I found out years later that he was hired as the actor and decided to leave on his own... Hmmm.
Now Steve can be found scrounging in the dumpster behind the KFC since he threw away his carreer.
Now he's a nobody. Only a loser walks off a good thing.
Remember kids, if you have a gravy train going, cling to it as long as you can. Get every last drop. Stick with it untill the very end. because Lightning never strikes twice. And you may never be able to get the same level of success ever again.
@ReverendSyn I do agree with you. He left the show when it was in its highest peak that time. But Steve is reasonable, he can't be in a kiddie show forever... (Though he left the show at a wrong timing)
In his guest appearance in "the moth", I had the idea that Steve found it hard to deal with the adults. And especially when it comes to a date. People would make him sing the mail song again and again so of course it really sucks for Steve...
Chill out on the animosity towards Joe, everyone! It's nearly impossible for anyone to take over the original hosts position on any show! Though I do cry foul on making Blue talk...
@vagtasticone With me, I have no hard feelings toward the actor. It's the character tha upsets me. I mean, I would've felt a little better if they kept the green shirt. Not much, but a little. Plus, we were children and he was weird. Not in a good way. Again, the character, not the actor.
i remember when he left to college and i just cried so much..then i really hated Joe because i thought he actually kicked him out but then forgave him and tried watching him and blue and when they came out with Blues Room I just quit watching it, it wasn't the same :l
I remember sobbing at the age of seven when Steve looked right at me with that sweet, friendly smile of his and said, "Thanks again for all your help."
That man was my Sherlock Holmes, and I loved being his silly little Watson whilst we spotted clues and solved the "big" mystery near the end of the show.

It will never be the same!! Just look at all these comments Joe never really embraced the part as well as Steve, that's just my opinion. Well im happy to stay i still love blues cluse
this came out the year i was born n once i heard steve was leaving i was in tears cuz this was the only show i would watch all day.. i love blue n steve n all their friends. this show will always be in my heart n when i have a family of my own i will by all blue's clues movies n toys to never let blue's clue be forgotten
