[Cont. from before] of a light and dark daughter-plus D.G. seemed to have told a half-truth when she ran to her mother in tears; she said that Az let go when it was D.G. who had been the one to let go. So we don't really know how much Lavender knew exactly only that she knew the prophecy which seemed to be coming true. I also don't think she so much gave her power to D.G. as she ~used~ it up in reviving her. There I think I've finally finished my piece... wait! great amv 5 stars!

Oh, wow. Thanks for that! I love speculations like this. <3 Yes, I agree that the prophecy was misunderstood. "One to darkness she be drawn." Shouldn't that be DG? She was the one who heard the witch calling, not Az. "One to light she be shown," seems to fit Az more, as she was the one drawn back to the light after being possessed.

You are so welcome! And thank you for your furthering my speculation with the exact words of the prophesy; they do seem to further my conjecture. I only wish it did have more of an epilogue even if it wasn't made into a show! By the way, was Ozma mentioned in the movie? In the books she was the rightful ruler who'd been trapped by Mombi(sp?), a different witch than the West, finally freed in the second book. If you haven't read them, please do!

No, Ozma wasn't mentioned in the movie. I just sort of opted to call her that because all she's ever referred to in the movie is "Lavender Eyes." She's even CREDITED as that. It's quite frustrating.

@Yontia Not to sound stupid, but there's a book "Tin Man"? I happened across the DVD in a clearance rack and picked it up and LOVE it! Not to mention the woman who plays Az is "oh my every-loving effing god" hot!

I also thought she may have been the stronger sister but Az had better control; that was why 'together they could do anything' [paraphrase], as illustrated when they made the bear back down.

I always thought that the prophesy was misunderstood by Lavender (aren't all prophesies?check out Oedipus :P). I also wondered if D.G. was truly the "Child of Light" she was thought to be (she was the headstrong one always rushing into danger forcing her sister to bail her out not to mention being whiny about her lesson with "Tutor" while Az seemed to love and encourage her so much before the possession). The span of time between the possession and the "killing" isn't explained but it must have been awhile so it's possible that she was called "angel" after possession/pre-killing. She might have been favored but Azkadelia was more powerful than her sister. Also, after the revival, Lavender gave her powers to D.G. and she was so weak that she couldn't stop her, don't think she could have forced the witch out of her body.

No problem, I love Tin Man! Along with Wicked, it's a fun place to be!

What I'm wondering is WHY she didn't get rid of the witch before Az killed DG? She was strong enough then. Maybe she was planning to and Az killed DG first...I dunno. This is why we need a TV show! To explain all of this! xD

That would be sooo awesome. All i have to say is that it the 'mini thingy' wasn't that good. And I'd like to know what happened to all of them, but thats just me. i get attached to characters... also who won with the pairing... personally, I am hoping for DG/Cain and Lavender/Glitch... Great video and good song choice but I'm a bit unsure about D.G. being the "favorite" of Lavender. In the series, they explained that Azkadelia wasn't told how to get the emerald because they knew she was possessed by the evil witch. Telling her would end everything, so they gave the secret to D.G. She calls D.G. her angel because she gave her life force to her. Still, great clip!

But I'd like to point out that Lavender also called DG her angel BEFORE she gave her her life force. Also, it just irks me that Lavender did nothing to save her elder daughter from the witch. She obviously knew something was wrong the moment she saw her after the cave bit. If she'd done something then, DG wouldn't have died in the first place.

Thank you! The program I used was Cyberlink PowerDirector. While I do miss some of WMM's simpler effects and transitions, it was just WAY to annoying to fight with any longer.

I know; WMM for me is getting annoying. Thank goodness I got Sony Vegas 9 for my birthday XD! After working with WMM for so long, it's tough switching to something so complicated. Was your program easy to use after WMM?

Actually, I had such a long period of "ZOMG SHINEY" while trying to switch over, it was actually kind of hard. There was so much more complicated stuff! At least it didn't keep refusing to save my video when I got to 98%.
