I remember first hearing this song in the mid 90s, when my wife and I were both living in poverty and wondering if it would ever get better or if we were on the edge of an abyss and about to slide down...

I wondered if "This trouble WOULD ever pass over"

But it did: we went back to school, got decent jobs, saved up and now we're away from that cesspool of a neighbourhood and living our dreams..

I have tried to figure out what this song is since I left BC and that was 2 years ago and if I have been trying for that long you can kinda guess that I love that song and you did a really good job with the arrangements.

imho the song should actually be sung by two different people. The first person is having a hard time (with the relationship, or their faith or something) and the other singing is encouraging singer 1 to hang on, the bad time will pass.

At least that's how I've always understood it. I love this song too. Great vid!
