Well this looks strange, good but strange. I hope you're settling in after your new move man. Well I might have to also check this one out at some point down the line. Awesome Job man. I like how you are branching out in your Reviews too. Gives us a nice change, and I bet it's good for you also. A bit of a change from just Reviewing Anime. Take it easy my friend.
Great review, Hardy. I don't think I've heard of this show, but it looks like I have yet another creative installment to add on my list. Gotta love the art and animation style, and the part about Maxx killing Mr. Gone's hostage...sheer awesome! :3 By the way, have you ever heard of Broken Saints? It's a 24-episode (rather, 'chapter') Canadian web-series created back in 2000 by Brooke Burgess, Ian Kirby, and Andrew West; it's an interactive graphic novel, and it's VERY philosophical and such
@TheLavaBuster Thanks, man. Well, I'm glad that this show interest you and I hope you get a chance to see it. I'm actually surprised that you never heard of it. Yeah, that scene where Maxx just kills the hostage was cool. It's my favorite scene in this show. Anyway, I haven't heard of Broken Saints but I'll be sure to check it out.
@whoisyouranime Heh, yeah...I mean, I've heard of stuff like Afterworld, Spriggan, and Vexille, but not this show. To be honest, there are a lot of things I don't know about, but I appreciate the reply nonetheless. :) And if you ever check out Broken Saints, the episodes have rather uneven lengths (some of them are eight or nine minutes, while others are OVER AN HOUR LONG); just to give you a heads-up. And it's also best to watch the series with the lights off (preferably at night).
Not exactly an anime, but this show was beautiful. The Comic itself was fantastic as well, The Maxx is one of those many shows back in the 90's that made the original MTV a great channel before it went shit. It just shows that MTV now has lost its way.
Wow, talk about an awesome cartoon that should've aired in Adult Swim. Besides anime, that program keeps adding one new seizure fest after another. All of which are totally NOT funny or interesting.
@whoisyouranime I'm talking about an American television program called Adult Swim, which airs popular comedy shows (and anime) like Family Guy and The Venture Brothers. The thing about this program is that over that past few years, Adult Swim has been premiering one weird show after another, many of which are like seizure fests. Not that it's any of my business about what these shows are made for, I just think something like The Maxx should've been aired other than a weird show like Superjail.
Here's an idea for a future "Hard Punch", "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World".
I saw the saw movie and just loved it personally.

@Skullgrin140 Yeah, the 90's were probably the last years of MTV before it started showing lacklustering music.

I always wanted to watch this. Maybe I'll watch this and Aeon Flux. I know from 5 years ago that you like aeon flux.
jungleman68 4 months ago
@jungleman68 Yes, I do like Aeon Flux, the animated show mostly. The Live Action Film was mediocre at best.

This show doesn't need to make overblown Hollywood super hero movies look dumb. They do a fine job doing that by themselves

What made you wanna review something like the Maxx? What, you gonna review Cybersix next?
TCgamerboy2002 4 months ago
@TCgamerboy2002 I have seen Cybersix but I have only seen a handful of episodes. Actually, I'm planning to review Outlaw Star next.
whoisyouranime 4 months ago
@whoisyouranime That's good to know. As for Cybersix, my only advice is to download the whole series via torrent.

@TCgamerboy2002 I'm on episode 7.
