after watching this yesterday afternoon , last night i had a vivid dream that i was at frontierland and that it was taken over by zombies , best dream ever.
ahhh...frontierland! Spent many a happy hour there. Used to play in a band every sunday night in the bar at the front. Was run by Billy Leake. Top bloke. Treated us musos well. Band was Solid Silver. Eeeeeh, memories. Thanks :)
i live in morecambe now! aha yeah , its pretty shit :L me and my mate went in where frontierland used to be and theres just wasteland and a few run down rides lol.
the early 1990s were the best in the uk. its been downhill since. cctv, rights taken away and crazy property costs. madness. how innocent we were back then..
Brilliant footage of a place that holds some happy childhood memories for me, when my mum and dad split when I was very young my dad took me here. Makes me bit emotional :) hehe
What a load of cods bollocks this place was! It was an accident waiting to happen! I remember going on the Texas tornado and on 2 occasions they forgot to strap me in.
If I remember right, it was a bar that was pushed over your lap?
The Mine train was the one that felt like you were going to die lol.
That other roller coaster at the top in the car park (think it was red and yellow in colour), we got stuck near the top of it, the guy had to climb the structure to push us off again lol.
Im sure it was all rumors but I swear I heard someone stood up on the Texas Tornado and got decapitated?! Im sure it was just school banter though.
I used to love going here as a kid in the 80s,such a shame it had to close. Brings back so many happy memories for me and to see it empty now makes me really sad.Loved going on the rollercoaster and who remembers Uncle Creepys Haunted House?
I have very fond memories of Frontierland. Spent 3 weeks in Morcambe in summer 83, and went there daily. Loved the log flume. I was only 6 at the time. Drove through Morecambe a few months back & thought what a real dive. Caused by the greed of a mad cow with an overpriced attraction a few miles away!
Whats the song and ooooo the memories. I love this place. It was a definition in the north west history. The Lancaster council could of reopened it with an offer they recived but chose morrisons becuase they offered more. Think of the tourism morcambe would still have. Greed fuels downturn.
wow memories indeed! I used to go to this park as a child in the 90's. I went to Morecambe about a year and a half ago not knowing the park had closed down! All I saw was the remains of a rotting log flume and the Polo Tower. I used to like the "skirt" and the mine cart ride shown in this video oh and the wooden rollercoaster!
Great video footage but not all of us want to listen to ultra crap euro-dance.

When you look at this place compared to the pleasure beach, it cant compare, same with the Pleasureland Southport.
There decent, but no where near the standards
