I like all the gayness in the review. Why else would you want to go off road but to check out if the hills are still alive with the sound of music. Keep it up guys!

It's a good car no doubt and guys that audi q5 is just the same as tiguan,and has been taken from tiguan most of the pieces,vw owns most of the german cars.Porsche cayman made from touareg same shit almost.

@ minute 1:15...regarding comment on the seat gap between rear seat and storage area.
There are two pieces of flip carpet in the rear storage area that "flip" forward to cover the seat "gap"

Excellent review! VW needs to bring over the TDI version. I sat in a Tiguan SE and thought the seat fabric felt cheap. I'll have to save my pennies for the SEL w/leather.

well it has the liquid repellent cloth. so that's probably why it felt cheap.

VW says the Tiguan is the "GTI of Compact SUVs". it is spirited but I wouldn't go so far as saying it is FAST. yes, it has 200 hp but it weighs considerably more than the GTI or Jetta Sport wagon. It is more fun to drive than say a CR-V or a RAV4 but i was really disappointed in the manual transmission - which ostensibly would give you the best acceleration. I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Great review guys. Thanks. It is amazing the difference between base and upgraded models. One question, how is the acceleration? I have been looking at some jeeps but the pick up is horrible. Thanks.
