I really wish that female cartoon characters were given more chances to shine and stand apart from their male counterparts.
Notice how female characters like Winnie Woodpecker as well as Disney's Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck were given their own cartoon shorts 50-60 years after they were introduced.
@heine71 Maybe... but knowing the kind of dismissive attitude that the major film studio executives have towards female characters, I am not too sure that they would go for it. But it can be done as long as there are competent writers and storymen that understand women and won't stoop to one-dimensional stereotypes.
