I was wondering if there's a way to pan individual notes inside a plugin such as fruity LSD with a Piano sound, so every note has its own space in a spectrum (ie the lowest notes start off way on the left channel and work its way to the right as the notes gradually get higher and higher). Of course some of the sound of the left notes will bleed into the right and vice versa, to create realistic piano panning spectrum. Alot of plugins have this built in, but fruity LSD doesn't seem to have it.

@TheKurrent1 Yeah I definitely will, I still haven't found out, but I know there is a way because I have a piano album that was produced using a method for panning notes and it is all MIDI performances. It might involve some special type of midi controller that fl studio doesn't have built in such as a third party plugin.

@TrancerB7 you can do it through the piano roll-- you know that space under the notes where it has those vertical sliders for velocity? if you go to the top of the piano roll you'll find a drop-down menu right next to the one that says which vsti you're using; if you use that to select panning, then you can do panning for each individual note. this might not be quite what you were asking about but it WILL work, even if it is a bit of a pain.

Hey I'm having a problem with the panning. When I have the dot at the bottom, it acts as if I had placed it at the middle. Where as if I have the dot at the top, it shifts the sound right. And yes the min and max knobs are at opposite extremes

Hi First of all, I want to tell you that you do a wonderful job with these tutorials. But The biggest drawback of FL Studio is that you cant do multiple "Undo or Redo". Is there any way to work through these.

ahrecondite first go to the sound you want to pan and click on it you will see a drop down arrow on the top left corner...click on send to mixer channel you will see the sound you selected highlighted and in a channel. You will see a knob close to the bottom of the channel right click and click send to auotomation

Mmm, you forgot to mention that this automation can be used for many, many useful things, such as volume automation to completely flatten volume changes of recorded soundclips... or create an artificial ''humanization'' for the midi clips. In addition to this, it can be used to ''cheat'', as many pop artists do nowadays, that is, sing out of tune, then 'fix' it with the pitch automation and whatnot. It's cheating, really. But it does give the impression as if you had a singing voice ;P

It's relatively simple. Automate the volume and pitch, and finetune them accordingly, usually you just leave them in a flat line, and do minor tweaks here and there. In addition to that, you can use similar method to the vocoder (see warbeats tutorial on that) on real live voice, to produce same results. In example, you could just be speaking, yet it would sound like you are going by a tune.
