  • @SeekTruthNOW As an adopted child, I've missed the chance of knowing Her, & I truly Wish I could've known Her, as she was forced to give me up. I know if She were alive today, she would feel and truly*say the same for me, her only child and daughter... There are 2-songs she was able to sing to me (her baby) "Maybe",,, & especially "My Farewell". My mom was clever enough and strong-willed enough, to sneak these songs past her manager.

  • Janis minha linda eu te amo.

  • Janis and Amy...my music's queens.

  • She was the greatest and her music will live on forever

  • today .. 40 years ago you dead

you alive with me every single day my love

  • Jesus, this song breaks my heart. God bless Janis, wherever she is. I loved her as a 16 year old when she died and though I rarely hear her music anymore, this brilliant performance brings all those feelings back.

  • I love Janis

  • This song is amazing, I love it.

  • dontcha know your only a one night stand?

  • I enjoy most of her music, I say most because I don't have all the cd's

  • sometimes greatness can come out of horrible misery and wretchedness many of the rock and rollers were sick druggy types in Janis's case her fool parents and that awfull hick-cracker gas and propane stinky town full of human animals were to blame

  • Love this woman!! yeah.

  • a great singer was Janis. Rock and Roll's greatest!!

  • Last month died Micael Jackson...

  • Janis Jopline, Jim Morrison, and Jimi Hendrix all died within like a year of each other at the age of 27.

I'm a huge Janis Joplin fan, and this is one of my fav Joplin songs.

    Peace :]

  • @boyslikenikki20 So tragic Amy Winehouse is added to this 27 club - such lost and wasted talent !! Amazing People!!

  • ...3

  • I agree. How could they not see how talented and special their own daughter was...

  • So so amazing...to all the men out there that appreciate Janis...thank u and god bless!!! I have always wanted a male friend i could hang and listen to Janis with without complaints. where are u???

  • @BigmamaBooch What complaints? What could we complain about?

  • I love this song! There will never be another Janis. I love her music!

  • two days from now it's going to be 39 years what a loss I am so sad I really love her

  • I have tears in my eyes.Jesus,I miss Janis sometimes.

  • a victim of bad personal choices

  • I am a regular guy type with tht hippie-esque side that knows the type of music that comes from the soul. Just my opinion, but people like Gram Parsons, Duane Allman, Santana, Clapton,Skynyrd, etc., are fascinating because of their direction not because of where they ended up but because of where they were heading. Bon Scott and Stevie Ray had it. I guess I just feel the pain that they have felt or feel. Hendrix is a heart breaker, but Janis can make a big guy like me cry!!

  • I agree !!! She's the Queen!

  • Penta- Thanks for this great song. I am a rarity... not too many guys like me are Janis fans, but I am a diehard since about '70 when I was about 7-8! This song has always given me chills. She was so damned missunderstood!Peace to all!

  • Ive always wanted to talk with a MAN who loved Janis. That's awesome! Peace! She was the best!

  • cuando escucho este tema se me pone la piel de gallina....te amo janis

  • mee too...! I am peruvian and the first time I listened to it I didn't speak english but now that I can well the message and feeling is the same than it was before. Music and magic proper of a Janis' song.

  • Now, Janis & God are singing together...

  • Great video, nice tribute to the Queen Janis.

    Congrats,good job.

  • I agree this is one of her best and yet obscure to anyone who knows Janis's music. I think I've worn out my CD just playing this one and "Misery'N".

  • Why this wasn't on Cheap Thrills is BEYOND me. You should all go listen to outtakes like "Flower in the Sun" and "Misery'N". There some of the best songs she ever did and yet, mysteriously, they were left of Cheap Thrills..

  • I'm guessing that's because they fit more into the soul genre, which Janis loved, than the more rocked out sound of Big Brother. Ya think? Who knows. You'll notice she preogressed more toward a soul sound over time.

  • It's one of her greatest. Everybody who doesn't like this song is plain stupid <: kekeke

  • is this live or what cuz i have a song in my ipod and u culd hear hands clapping

  • This is original version studio....

  • hey...that last note was so correct!!!!

  • Sorry "Loitalove" you can save the title of "queen of pop" to Madonna or whoever.

Janis truly a queen, but it isn't pop at all she was over the (t)pop

  • JANIS WAS IAND IS THE QUEEN OF POP.....

  • beautiful!
