people forget that earthshaker came out in, like, 81 or 82...at that time there wasnt a whole lot of new stuff that was heavy, melodic, and catchy. these guys were the best NorCal hard rock band around before metal was really even a genre in the USA...which was like 83-84. they werent as glam as the Sunset Strip bands or as heavy or fast as Metallica, but they had chops!

@TheEarnold I totally agree with you. They were in my opinion FAR better songwriters than all the 80's Los Angeles bands combined AND Dave is a completely underrated guitarist. It's such a shame that they kinda fizzled out on the radio right as they were about to break out and be truly the World-Wide sensation they so rightfully deserved. I have seen them twice and they completely smoked on stage! It's great that they are still around though and they are all cool down to earth guys to boot.

Any Y&T fan underrates Dave? Anyone miss more people in the concerts?, not me, we all are special to be able to understand this kind of feelings not all could, happy to do this special kind of connections with one of the greatest and probably the last one active aunthentic Hard Rock band in the world!

The opening of this song reminds me of a Scorpians tune for some reason. Anyways, I'm a local to the East Bay. Grew up listening to these guys in the late 70s early 80s.

Great video! I'd love to see more from this show if you have any. I envy Dave Meniketti probably more than any other musician because he has a great voice to go along with his vocal abilities and then is one of the great guitarists and then be able to write such great songs. I'm with you jre, he's the best ever when it comes down to guitarist/vocalist combo.
