hi there why when u applying the shadow layer.. it seems so smooth but i cant do so with digital airbrush.. did u use any other variant??

Nope, I just use Digital Airbrush

My Techniques:

1) Use 10% Opacity (Pressure sensitivity of Stylus must be On)

2) Colour pick the neighbouring colour after I've applied a stroke of another colour. (Eyedropping the variety of colours when two colours mix together -- Beauty of Air Brush)

how do you do that smooth thingg with dodge ??? i think soo when the 2 characters apear like very smooth get it

Wow, glad you're so eager to learn. I hope i can set up school for this. To answer you:

1) I didn't use dodge. I just colour pick the colours near the area and apply the brushstrokes. This would give the illusion of smoothness. If you really want to be very smooth, an easier approach is to use the "Just Add Water" from one of the blenders in Painter 12

2) Yes, I do erase the lines. In fact, I do erase a lot :)

I'm not saying 2B is not good. I love 2B pencil for its sketching simulation!! Actually in the beginning when i learn corel painter, I just want to choose a simple and easy to master brush to start with. Digital Airbrush seems like a common one (with Photoshop using it as default) so I just stick with it without much thinking. I probably can do the same with other brush, maybe just need some time to get used to. I shall try it next time :)
