Fassell is probably one of the smartest and nicest guys in the NFL. He may not be able to please everybody, but then who can? The problem with arm-chair critics is brought to light here on the internet everyone has to criticize; be a hater, unless they guy is running your team and winnning. If the player or coach is winning they can do whatever they want and get away with it; if they are losing they're "worthless pigs"

I've lived in both places. No way NY is a harder market to coach in than DC when it comes to NFL. NY at least always has a head coach of another team to take some of the pressure. Coaching the Redskins is the most criticized job in DC by a long shot.

What's wrong with Jim Fassel? 2 Divisions, a Super Bowl appearance and a winning record in the toughest place in America to coach. Had a 38-14 lead in the '02 wild card game, and what happened afterward was not his fault. Shockey could have caught the TD pass to make it 42-14 and we're not having this conversation.
