I like this video Do you think the trap door was to stop the Aphomia sociella ?

I see he sprays bacillus thuringiensis, as this kills caterpillars I can only assume it is to kill the wax moth as a pest control? They ruin my bumblebee nests! :-(

@wastebuster01 You can try the door flap also called "hummel klappe". I'm in USA and built a lot of boxes for this upcomming year! I have door flaps on all of them to keep wax moths out.

Baumhummeln interessant. Vorsicht nur denn die Arbeiterinnen aus dem Nest die sich nie vorher orientiert haben. Kennen manchmal nicht den Weg ins Nest zurück.
