    The steak should be rested nicely once all the side dishes are prepared on the plate.

    Just to clea up a few things:

    Steaks aren't shit, if you don't like it go eat your beansprouts idiot!

    It is a porterhouse cut or can't you read.

    Canola oil will burn too, just at a higher temp and gets bitter.

    Pink stuff inside might be blood but it's been cooked, the last time I checked blood was red not pink.

  • In a cooking demo, we don't really need to see your face unless you are cooking it.

  • It was smoking not because of a vent, but because you used olive oil. You should have used canola oil and it would have avoided the smoke. You also forgot to wash the meat. Always include this step. the pink stuff inside the steak is blood, meaning its still raw meat, so be sure you wash the meat to deter any unwanted germs, also it helps the taste in the finish produce.

  • Canola oil on a red hot pan would not solve the smoking problem. It only delays it as canola oil has a higher smoking point.

    Instead of oiling the pan, rub or drizzle the oil on the meat.

  • the one thing he messed up on is he forgot to put olive oil in the pepper salt mixture!!!!

  • you should put the oil after you season the meat to avoid the seasoning sliding off into the oil.

  • If you watch the vid again he said 4 - 5 min's. each side not 45 min's. And ever try to crack pepper corns with a mallet or bowl, just doesn't work as well as a heavy skillet.

    I'm wondering why he used the pan to crush the peppercorns . I have that same set and am wondering how he can just abuse it like that and to use it to dredge his steak in. hasn't he learned about a mallet and a plate or bowl ?

  • How can you cook it for 45 minutes each side and still have it medium rare??? To cook a 1 inch sirloin I usually cook them 5 minutes per side and it turns out reddish/pink. But besides, I wanna try this one you're making but using colmans mustard instead.. Thanks for the idea!

  • i agree. americans do eat to much red meat. good thing i'm not completely american. but my dad does own the farm where the meat comes from. it's all organic. i think i eat a steak once every 2 months. also i wish i had a grill.

  • A nice theme background song would be advisable. Don't just play it while filming though....Add it in post production...It would be nice if you could compress your live audio track...All and all, I think you have great potential.

A few words of advice to you: You need some cheap clamp lights to illuminate the subject better...Smile more...I guess your choppy dialog will improve with time....Most of all you need to pass that bong because it's obvious you're stoned.   • yes i agree with you on the lighting. depending on the meal i am making and how lazy i am i use different camera setups. on this one i was using the camera on my laptop, which isn't the best. on the grill i can cook anything. on time i roasted an entire pig
