Thanks man ive been looking for a vid with stock pipes but no muffler. but could you please make a vid where u rev it up pretty good and also a drive by from outside? that would be a HUGE help!
boss ass way to do a vid with the key start.. i know with the journeys that if you hold down the unlock button itll roll the windows down.. do the rams do it too?
Did you get any kind of raspy noise out of your resonators after they muffler was off for a while? I know on the challenger and the charger people say that the extra heat to the resonators makes them raspy a little. Just wondering before i hack my muffler off too!
I wouldn't remove the cats without adding a muffler or resonators. I have a set of long tube headers that will be going on at the same time as a cam change. The new headers are cat-less and I will be trying a set of resonator inserts that I made in the shop at work.
I have the same truck, but have not been underneith. How loud does it sound on the expressway? any drone? It's a single muffler you removed and replaced with just a pipe? Any performance or MPG loss? Thanks for posting this.
@cyberpine I cut off all mufflers on my Charger R/T and it works out awesome being that the engine alternates from 4 to 8 cylinders. It's loud as fuck when you want to be and quite when you need it to be. When you set it at cruise control or maintain around 55-75 the exhaust def emits a drone sound, but it's not very loud or bothersome. But I don't think the HEMI engines in the Dodge trucks have that alternating cylinder feature. (Please excuse my ignorance to mechanics and mechanical terms)
Respond to this video... Yes it does have MDS and i noticed that with my 06 and 08 when i did the same thing, or you can turn on the trailer tow or over drive and it will be fine. All hemis have MDS from I think 2006 and up.
Real nice setup. Its the same as mine. I love the sound with the cats still in place. I think the noise level would be excessive with the cats removed. Nice job!!
shudda took the resonators off too lol

@rdbc92
