correction: these are what CHEAP hair fusions look like. Advice is, if youre planning on joining the hair fusions wagon, dont half-ass it and go for the cheapest ones you find. Theres a reason the expensive ones are expensive lol. Because the job is higher quality. (Craigslist? haha okay then..do celebrities go on Craigslist for THEIR fusions? haha nope)Thats like the number 1 rule in..ANYTHING beauty girls! Come on now!
that's what happened to me. i had to go to a salon to have them removed 5 days later. lesson learned: never trust someone on craigslist! lol ( you'd think i'd know that already! )
This is such a big problem with hairdressers who are not properly trained in applying or removing hair extensions. It really is so sad...Use the Take Down Remover to safely and easily slide the fusion out of the hair with the heat fusion iron. Also it helps to get the left over bits of glue or residue keratin off the hair easy too.
I am glad I am not the only one that had this problem. I had them fused in by a hair stylist and spent a metric ton of money on them. When I saw the bonds and how they were barely attached to the hair I was pissed. Hair that was supposed to last over a month lasted from dec 3rd - january 3rd. The glue made baby dreads too which were brushed out, then i had to get my hair cut super short. =[ (i had hair to the nape of my neck.)
The reason that you can see the fusion bonds is because the stylist used REGULAR hot glue sticks and not the recommended Monkey Bars fusion tips. Monkey Bars come in brown, blond, black, and red so that it blends with the natural color of the hair.
it looks like you did not leave the extensions in long enough and the glue is not old enough to harden correctly and be taken out easy. i went to cosmo school... next time try leaving them in longer
I have been doing hair for 24years and I can tell you exactly what she did. Instead of using the fusion sticks call Monkey Bars, she used regular household craft glue. The dead give away was the shiny white residue. Monkey Bars is not shiny and has dull reflective composition just like natural hair so that it makes a smooth transition from root to end.
You know what? You need to IMMEDIATELY go back and get your money back. If she doesn't want to do that, I'd raise as much hell as possible, even as far as going to the Better Business Bureau on the company if they don't rectify the situation. Jesus. She did that like Stevie Wonder is her twin brother..smh...
,, it looks like to me they tried to skimp out and use cheap hair with a huge keratin tip ,, ,, all they had to do in that case was cut the tip down ,, to smaller then a pinky nail ,,, i hope you got your money back,, and if you sued,, i think you would have won ,, i have when people do a half ass job ,, but this is just really bad,,, if this person is licensed you can report them,, to the state ,, and to merchant circle.com
Sue that mofo! file a "hair damage claim" injuries to the hair that resulted to Stress, a day missed from work, fatigue, emotional distress, lose of sleep, developement of health problems, had to buy medications, wasted your time, wasted your money, falsely informed, and ect. :D I would.
Firs off whoever did this went to high on the head. You are supposed to only go to the middle of the back of the head and only so far to each side of the head you are not supposed to do it around the face and where you part your hair they f'ed your style up bad I would be asking for my money back!! Please make sure you see someone's work before you let them do your hair. Also if you pay more then your paying for the quality of their service.!
She should have cut the kertian u tip in half so the glue would not be that long to make it look natural also your parts are not even neat and straight are you sure they were certified....this looks a mess but the hair you purchased looks nice to bad it was wasted..... :(
OMG, your hairstylist totaly don't know how to put hair extensions. All professionals, know, that you can't put hair extensions so hight. And that keratin hails is so big, I don't know, what your hairdresser done with your hair. But it's toatly unprofessional.
you might like the micro ring method. but with that said, the person who did these simply did them as wrong as wrong could get...hope your hair is okay and that this didn't sour you toward extensions. you will be really super happy if they are done properly...good luck...
omg god i am a hair extension specialist & those are awful, feel sorry for you did u actually pay her? the bonds are way to long they should be small & not showing.
Thanks so much for posting this! That is horrible...I've only looked at 1 video on this topic cos one of my friends is doing it now & I wanted to know exactly what it is! No glue should show @ all...wow...I'm sorry this happened to you!
@kimberleylotr2004 even if they were new, there is no excuse for that. When you go to hair school they teach you how to do things properly and you practice on manequins, it looks like homegirl wasn't sure what to do...i'm sorry. I pray you got your money back.
She forgot to cut the bonds in half. Thats why they came out so long and thin looking. I have fusion extensions and the bonds should only be a half of and inch long
wow Thats the sad thing ...I am a Hairstylist as well and see thing s like thi all thetime form ppl who promote themselves as knowing what they r doing....... word of advice ... ask if they r certefied and if they haave a portfolio or something that shows previous hairdoes they have done
damn I really sorry it went wrong for you.. and it's even more visble on dark hair :( who ever did this didnt have a clue what he was doing.. when using this menthod you can NOT put them that high up the scalp.. ever!! even when done properly it's too visable!
my honest recomendation to everyone is.. DON'T USE GLUE/ HEAT/ KERATIN METHOD OF BONDING!!
they detiriorare over time no matter how good it's done! they damage your hair and can irritate scalp! Use ultrasonic wave (cold fusion) method! it's much better quality.. not visable and you can barely even feel them when you run fingers through your hair. it will cost a bit more but it will be worth it 10 times more :)
and it will not damage your natural hair or scalp..
wow. you should have gotten the cold fusion micro link hair extensions instead of the glue. It cost more but you won't have to worry about glue ripping out your hair.
Glue in-s and sew are bad even clip-ins are bad for you I mean i can grow back right. if your hair gets ripped it can grow back or no either way im so soo sorry
you have beautiful long hair dont do anything to it whatever you do i wear extentions but they dont make my hair rip out there clip ins but glue ins and sew are really bad my sister got sew ins but her hair did not get bald but she was crying because a clump of hair fell out when she was brushing.
1st, she should have gone a professional extensionist, paid him, or, her top dollar, and, had her hair done right. Let this be a warning to all, be an informed consumer. I'm a professional hair extensionist, and, I can tell you, real fusion,or, strand by strand...whatever you want to call it if done properly, can last up to 4 months.
I had these extensions. my fathers girlfriend had to cut them out. Good for me there was still enough hair where there weren't extensions placed so i do have hair left. But the girl that placed these extensions said it wasn't damaging for your hair. she was a big lyer! so.. not doing it ever again!
OMG! mine looked the same way!!! i still wanna SMACK the person who did it!!! It Took my mom and i FOREVER to get that crap out!! It was SO horrible!!!!
i googled how i can take it out without the solution because i couldn't go to work the next day looking like this and this "professional hair extensionist" didn't have any remover. it took me 6 hours
@jkim363 a sulfur based product or a deep conditioner would have made them slip out. I am a licensed cosmetologist. I don't know everything but hair as I am newly licensed as of last year but I did have a classmate at the time who had them and then after shampooing her hair she put conditioner in her hair and they started coming out.
