As for Toskala...play him the first game and see if he does really well...if so put him in the second game...if he is just okay, put in Gusto in the second game. I would keep alternating all season until one proves he is #1. Both can do it...see what happens though!

Give Toskala a chance against the Blackhawks and see how he does, if he does good, start him against the Flames, if he doesnt do so good, start Gustavsson against the Flames. Since Zigimanis(i dunno how to spell his name) is signing with Sweden, call up Christian Hanson.

Toskala is done as a starter at the NHL level. The Leafs have finally realized that and have let Ron Wilson (mercifully) move ahead with Gustavsson. The reason that The Monster is having an improved effect among the Leafs defensively is simple. GOOD goaltenders tend to have that effect. Toskala is not a good goaltender anymore.

Toskala is the Leafs starter. Whether that organization realizes it or not. He played lights out last year battling injuries and stealing games. Then the leafs play like sh** in front of him, get reamed out and play better in front of the the ROOKIE...so the problem was toskala? Nu uh! It was the guys in front of him. The swedish 6 foot 2 and a half goalie might be anything a star a starter a backup, hes just getting started. Toskala has experience.But go ahead, make the mistake Leafs.

as much as i like gustovsson... i think toskala needs to gain his confidence back and become a starter again so they can get something decent for him in a trade... i think the leafs have a decent shot at winning but are clear underdogs in both games so it would give toskala ample opportunity to prove that he can still be of service in the nhl as a starter if he plays well... but then again the monster wins games so i would start toskala for at least one of them

as a HUGE wild fan who is from massachusetts and wants the leafs to do well because i dont want the bruins to get a lottery pick, i think the leafs fans can take some solace in the fact that the wild, although their overall record is 7-10, is now 4-0-0 against the eastern conference (now 16-5-1 over the last two years)...

mike zigamatis reminds me a lot of PA parentau. PA parentau was traded to the rangers and has played for the hartford wolfpack. now Parentau has been absolutley dominating in the AHL. Last year he had 78 points in 74 games and is only doing better, im pretty sure he already has a hat trick. But the tha thing with parenteau is he is just one of those guys who never does well in the NHL even if he dominates in the AHL. and i think zigamantis is just one of those guys.

Good video steve, tough game last night, I thought the leafs were the better team in two of the three periods, but the second perioed was our nightmare. I'm worries about the leafs inability to put the puck in the net this year. Hopefully more people will start contributing in that area. I dont think the leafs need giguere at all he's a fine goalie but Toronto has a good goalie right now. I think Stahlberg*(?) should be called up again to see how he fares. Think we can compete with chi and cal?

Steve, what do you think about the puck out rule and the kicking rule? Personally I think the kicking rule might aswell be removed, I mean, it's not like players will start dropping their sticks going for a soccer goal. And the puck out rule, I don't know... it's never on purpose, so it always seems a bit harsh.

You're right...so after they take Europe, re-stock all of their supplies, build-up their man-power - while we just sit on our asses - then they absolutely wouldn't ever consider sending a few thousand men over via cruise ship, or simply build-up their navy too...or just take Britain's navy..who we just watched get annihilated.
